Dona and Tim Lawler - are the owners of The Goddard Schools® located in Naperville. Dona received a Bachelor's degree in Business from the University of Illinois and previously worked as an accountant. Tim has a Bachelor's degree from Yale and a Law degree from the University of Illinois. He has practiced business law for many years. Dona and Tim have experienced so much in raising their three daughters and enjoy making a difference in the lives of young children.
Holly
is the Educational Director of our school. She has over ten years' experience as a
director in a preschool setting. Holly earned a Bachelor's degree in Education from Miami University and also
earned a Master's degree in Early Childhood from Concordia University.
She is committed to supporting our team of teachers in their work and
providing a fun and nurturing learning environment for the children.
Laura C. - is our Director of Operations. She has been working in child development schools for nearly fifteen years. Laura earned a degree in Early Childhood Education and has worked as a Director, Assistant Director, Preschool Supervisor and Team Leader. Laura was nominated as Teacher of the Year by PSO-ICCA in 2004. As an administrator, Laura's focus is keeping teachers and children fresh and motivated.
Jenny - is a Lead Teacher in our Infant Room. She will soon complete her Associate degree in Early Childhood Education at Waubonsee Community College. She has worked with infants and toddlers in early education settings for over four years.
Cory - is a Lead Teacher in our Pre-Toddler classroom. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point where she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Family Consumer Science and minored in Sociology. She has been working in childcare since 2007. She enjoys working with children of all ages, as each age brings something cute to the table.
Erin M. - is a Lead Teacher in our Pre-Toddler classroom. She has nearly completed her Bachelor's degree in Sociology from University of Illinois-Chicago. Erin has almost two years of experience teaching young children in early childhood educational settings and especially enjoys working with toddlers and two-year-olds.
Theresa - is a Lead Teacher in our Toddler classroom. She received a Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. From there she did some graduate level work in Education at Mount Mary College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She has also taken Early Childhood classes at Waubonsee Community College. Theresa has many years of experience working with children in early education settings.
Laura M.- is a Lead Teacher in our Toddler classroom. She has nearly completed her M.A.T. in teaching from National-Louis University and also holds degrees from Northern Illinois University and College of DuPage. She has worked in local school districts and early learning programs for the past several years and finds something to enjoy about every age group.
Amanda R. - is a Lead Teacher in our Get Set classroom. She is a graduate of Northern Illinois University and earned a Bachelor's degree in Teaching and Learning with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education/Preschool Special Education. She has been working as a paid teacher of young children since 2008, but has really worked with and on behalf of children her entire life.
Katie - is a Lead Teacher in our Get Set classroom. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Family Studies with minors in Social Work and Sociology. During college she volunteered at the Kalamazoo Juvenile Home and Girl Scouts Council and interned with Catholic Family Services. She has also taught dance to young children for nearly three years.
Jane - is a Lead Teacher in our Preschool classroom. She received an Associate's degree in Child Development from Triton College. She has been teaching young children for several years. Jane is bilingual in Spanish and English and has taught English as a second language to students at Triton College. She believes that it is essential to meet each child's needs through developmentally appropriate practices.
Kaila - is a Lead Teacher in our Preschool classroom. She is a graduate of Elmhurst College with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Special Education. She has worked with children her whole life and especially enjoys working with the younger children.
Edith - is a Lead Teacher in our Pre-K classroom. She is majoring in Early Childhood Development at the College of DuPage. She has over ten years of experience working in early childhood education and loves being with the children.
Brittany - is a Lead Teacher in our Pre-K classroom. She graduated from DePaul University with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. She has been working in the Early Childhood field for three years. She believes in creating a learning environment that supports the development of the whole child and reflects different styles of learning.
Becky - is a Lead Teacher in our Pre-K classroom and previously assisted in our Kindergarten class. Becky graduated from Olivet Nazarene University with a double major in Elementary Education and Social Work. She is happy she chose a career working with children.
Joanna - is our Lead Kindergarten teacher. She is a graduate of DePaul University with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. She has worked in the Early Childhood field for over fifteen years. Most of her experience has been teaching Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students.
Mia - is an Assistant Teacher/Floater. She works mainly with the preschool classes and older. Mia is pursuing a certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care from College of DuPage and has completed many courses within that program.
Amy - is an Assistant Teacher/Floater. She assists mainly in our Infant and First Steps classrooms, but is a valued support in every classroom. Amy is completing a Bachelor's degree in Psychology at Liberty University. She has completed coursework in child and adolescent development and enjoys putting her knowledge to work in the classroom.
Kim - is an Assistant Teacher/Floater. She has an Associate's degree and an Advanced Certificate in Daycare Management from Triton College. Kim has worked with children for over ten years.
Nora - is an Assistant Teacher/Floater. Nora has earned certificates in Early Childhood Education and Care and Infant, Toddler and Two-Year-Old Child Care from College of DuPage. She has been working with young children for over seven years.
Toni - is an Assistant Teacher/Floater. She has worked with young children in recreational settings since 2004 and is nearing completion of her degree in Early Childhood Education.
Nicole - is an Assistant Teacher/Floater. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Elementary Education. Nicole has worked as a substitute teacher and paraprofessional with older children. She sees the potential for learning in every child.
