Ms. Christy - Ms. Christy is our Educational Director with over 10 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, including classroom and administrative responsibilities. She is currently a Level II Director and has served as our Assistant Director for the past year. Ms. Christy is completing her Bachelor's degree in Birth to Kindergarten at Western Carolina University and will qualify as a Level III Director upon graduation. She also holds her North Carolina Education Credentials and Level One and Two Administrative Credentials. Ms Christy is responsible for the Education side of the director role which includes management of the faculty, curriculum and programs.
Ms. Cindy - Ms. Cindy is our Operations Director. Ms. Cindy has over 35 years experience in administration with the Howard County Public School System in Ellicott City, MD. She served as Administrative Assistant in Human Resources and to the Chief Operating Officer of the school system. She was President of the Howard County Association of Office Professionals 2000-2005, was a school mentor for the Howard County Public Schools Mentor Program 2001-2007, and served on the Office Professionals Staff Development Committee 1997-2005. After moving to North Carolina in 2007, she held the position of Managing Coordinator at a local childcare center. Ms. Cindy brings her excellent organizational skills and experience to our school and is responsible for the operational side of the director's role.
Ms. Janis
Ms. Janis is the Lead Teacher in our Farmers in the Dell Transitional Kindergarten classroom. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education from Salem State University and has over 18 years experience teaching at the preschool and elementary school levels. She relocated to North Carolina six years ago from Boston Massachusetts, attracted to the area by the mild winters and Lake Norman! Ms. Janis loves to teach preschool. She has excellent teaching skills and is focused on kindergarten preparedness for the children in her classroom.
Ms. Amanda S. - Ms. Amanda is our Assistant Teacher in the Farmers in the Dell Trans K classroom. Her focus in this classroom is to assist the Lead Teacher in the development of the social and emotional skills of the children as well as insuring they are academically prepared for Kindergarten next fall. Ms. Amanda is a graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech and Communication. Ms. Amanda loves her class and gets much satisfaction seeing them gain confidence and build skills that are vital to success after preschool!
Ms. Shannon - Ms. Shannon is our Lead Teacher for Darling Ducks Transitional Kindergarten classroom. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from East Carolina University. She has experience teaching first grade in the private school environment. She loves to teach and says, "There is nothing like it in the world!" Ms. Shannon's children are thrilled with her interactive teaching style.
Ms. Heather - Ms. Heather is our Lead Teacher in our Frisky Frogs Preschool/Pre-K classroom. She is a graduate of High Point University with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. She obtained a State of North Carolina teaching license and her experience includes both Preschool and Kindergarten. Ms. Heather loves the Pre-Kindergarten children including the challenge of preparing them academically, socially, physically and emotionally for Kindergarten and beyond.
Ms. Gabi - Ms. Gabi is our Assistant Teacher in our Galloping Goats Early Preschool classroom. A native of Salsburg, Austria, Gabi moved to the United States in 1989. She obtained a certificate in Early Childhood Education program from Mitchell College. Ms. Gabi has experience in After School Enrichment and loves the opportunity to teach young children. She brings an international feel to our classrooms!
Ms. Maritza - Ms. Maritza is our Lead Teacher in our Galloping Goats Early Preschool classroom. She has a Bachelor's degree in Education from Montreat College and has completed the North Carolina teacher credentials for Early Childhood Education. Ms. "Ritz" brings her enthusiasm for learning to her class and inspires her children with curiosity and love of learning.
Ms. Elaine - Ms. Elaine is our Assistant Teacher in our Galloping Goats Preschool classroom. Elaine has earned a Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate through Northampton College in Pennsylvania. Ms. Elaine has over seven years of experience working in early childhood development and is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
Ms. Kimberly
Ms. Kimberly is our Lead Teacher in our Precious Pigs Get Set classroom. These are the children who are 2 1/2 to 3 years and "getting set" for Preschool! Ms. Kimberly earned her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and is pursuing her Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Birth to Kindergarten. She has over 20 years experience teaching preschool including More at Four and Pre-Kindergarten. She has a passion for teaching and enjoys watching the children grow and learn.
Ms. Ashley P.
Ms. Ashley is the Lead Teacher in the Bouncing Bunnies Toddler classroom. Ms. Ashley is a graduate of UNC-Charlotte with a BA in Psychology and Women's Studies. She is a Level Nine Early Childhood Educator and has her North Carolina Early Childhood Credentials. She has over seven years experience teaching preschool with focus on Toddlers and Young Toddlers. Ms. Ashley excels in providing a warm supportive environment which allows these young children the best opportunity to grow and learn.
Miss. Amanda P.
Miss Amanda is the Lead Teacher in our Little Lambs Young Toddler classroom. She comes to us with a Bachelors Degree in Family and Child Development (Birth to Kindergarten) and has taught young children for over five years. She has worked with ages six weeks to five years over her career but loves the young toddlers. She is enthusiastic about what they learn every day!
Ms. Ericka - Ms. Ericka serves as one of our floaters as well as our Spanish as a Second Language Teacher. Ms. Ericka has her North Carolina Credentials in Early Childhood Education and assists in our Young Toddlers through Transitional Kindergarten classrooms. As a native of Venezuela, she brings a true Latin influence to our Spanish curriculum!
Ms. Crystal - Ms. Crystal is the Lead Teacher in the Chipper Chicks classroom. She has her North Carolina Credentials and is pursuing her Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education at UNC-Charlotte. She has over 5 years experience teaching with focus on infants and young toddlers. She began her career at The Goddard School located in Wake Forest, NC and joined us after moving to Mooresville a few years ago. She thoroughly enjoys teaching young children and loves being part of their early development.
Ms. Sharon
Ms. Sharon is our Assistant Teacher in our Little Lambs young toddlers classroom and also assists in the Infant room. She has her North Carolina Early Childhood Credentials and SIDS, CPR and BSAC certifications. Ms. Sharon has been teaching preschool for over 26 years! Her focus has always been with the younger children, with infants and young toddlers as her specialty.
Ms. Laura - Ms. Laura is our Lead Teacher in the Tiny Turtles Infant classroom. Ms. Laura has her North Carolina Early Childhood credentials and is actively pursuing her degree in Early Childhood Education at Mitchell Community College. Her early childhood experience includes over sixteen years as owner of a home-based childcare facility in New York State. Ms. Laura creates a warm and loving environment for our infants during this very special development time in their young lives.
Ms. Nancy
Ms. Nancy is the part time Assistant Infant and Young Toddler Teacher. She has over 17 years experience teaching young children with her focus being infants and young toddlers. She has her North Carolina Early Childhood Credentials, SIDS and CPR certifications. She is a nurturing and loving assistant in both our Tiny Turtles Infant and Chipper Chicks First Steps classrooms.
Ms. Michelle - Ms. Michelle serves as our Substitute Lead Teacher in our Infants through Young Toddler classes. Ms. Michelle has over three years of experience in Early Childhood Education and has worked with children from infants to school-age. Ms. Michelle has completed her teaching credentials for the state of North Carolina and is currently continuing her education in Early Childhood at Catawba Valley Community College.
Miss Ashley R. Miss Ashley is our floater and provides support to our teachers and classrooms. Ashley has over 12 years of experience in early childcare both in North Carolina and Florida. She is enrolled in Early Childhood Education classes at Mitchell College and is working towards her Associates degree.
