Faculty Bios

Ana & Mauricio Chmelnik - Owners Ana and Mauricio are the proud parents of two beautiful children and both recognize the importance of a safe and nurturing learning environment. Ana holds a Bachelor's degree in Special Education and is extremely knowledgeable in the developmental needs of children. Mauricio attended the University of Houston where he attained his LLM. They are both excited and proud to be a part of Goddard and are extremely committed to providing the highest quality preschool experience for the children in the community.

Christina Medina- Director - Christina is the Education Director at The Goddard School® located in Miramar, FL. She holds a degree in child development as well as the Florida Director Credential and continues her studies in the field of education. Her roles over the years have included Teacher Assistant, Teacher, and Director. She enjoys making sure that all children receive the education and care they deserve. She is happy to be a part of The Goddard School® family, and welcomes the opportunity to be a part of your child’s life.

Ms. Danielle- Assistant Director - Ms. Danielle has been working in the preschool setting for eight years with children from Infancy to Pre-K. She is currently working toward her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She started with us as a lead teacher in the Turtles class and is now the Assistant Director of the School.

Ms. Damaris - Sharks Co-Teacher Ms. "D" is our Pre-K Co-Teacher and has been with the Goddard family since we opened back in 2007. Ms. "D” earned her B.A. from the University of Puerto Rico. She also studied ballet for ten years where she served as a ballet teacher at The Sol Dance Academy. She has a great deal of experience working with young children and brings creativity and enthusiasm to the classroom every day.

Ms. Debby- Dolphins Teacher - Ms. Debby is one of our fabulous VPK teachers, she has her Child Development Associate and many years of experience teaching in early childhood education.

Ms. Faresha -  Seahorse Lead Teacher Ms. Faresha is the Lead Teacher of our Young Toddler class. She has many years of experience working with children ages infancy to preschool. Faresha brings a great deal of creativity to the class. She creates a nurturing yet stimulating environment for the children by singing songs, providing love, and ensuring that each child's individual needs are met. 

Ms. Nancy- Seastars Assistant Teacher Ms. Nancy has been working as the Assistant Teacher in our Infant Classroom since we opened our doors. Ms Nancy's teaching philosophy is that every child deserves to be taught in a safe, happy, and healthy environment. She strongly feels that each child she comes in contact with is an inspiration and is thrilled to have the opportunity to participate in their education.

Ms. Stephanie -  Assistant Teacher Ms. Stephanie loves working with children. Her role here at our School is working with children of all ages. She is currently enrolled in school pursuing a degree in Elementary Education.

Ms. Britney - Turtle's Lead Teacher Ms. Britney is a lead teacher in our wonderful Turtle's classroom. Prior to joining our team, she worked at a Goddard School located in Maryland. Ms. Britney strongly believes that every opportunity in the classroom should be a learning experience. She believes that children need stability and consistency, as well as a firm and reassuring figure. We are happy to have Ms. Britney as part of our Goddard Family!

Ms. Barbie- Seahorses Assistant Teacher - Ms. Barbie is one of our fantastic Assistant Teachers who works wonderfully with our little ones. She has completed courses in Child Care Training and brings lots of excitement and creative ideas to the Seahorse class.

Ms. Liz - Assistant Teacher Ms. Liz is the Assistant Teacher of the Turtle's class. She also assists in other classrooms when needed.

Ms. Jessie - Orcas Assistant Teacher Ms. Jessie is the Assistant Teacher of the three-year-old class. Her previous role at our School was working with children of all age groups. 

Ms. Amber- Teacher Assistant Ms. Amber is one of our amazing assistants that works well with our preschoolers. She is currently in school where she is working to obtain her Child Development Associate and looks forward to a future in the Education field. Ms. Amber strongly believes that teachers must accommodate the needs of each child. She teaches to reach every one of her children and she strives to make a difference in the lives of each child.

Ms. Jeannette - Assistant Teacher Ms."J" is one of our wonderful floaters. Her role here at our School is working with children of all ages by assisting the teachers in their classes. 

Ms. Marisol - Floater/Assistant Teacher Ms. Marisol is one of our fantastic Assistant Teachers that brings fun into each classroom. During the morning hours, Ms. Marisol assists us in classrooms as a floater and in the afternoon, she works alongside our VPK teacher.

Ms. Kristen - Marlins Lead Teacher Ms. Kristen is our lead teacher in the older two's classroom. We are thrilled to have her as lead. She brings lots of fun and love into the classroom! She is currently enrolled in school seeking a degree in Education.

Ms. Kathy- Rays Lead Teacher Kathy has over 14 years of experience working with children in a variety of settings, including early childhood and carrying out a Girl Scout program. She holds a Florida Child Care Professional Credential.

Ms. Brandee - Floater Ms. Brandee is one of our wonderful afternoon floaters. She clearly has a passion for working with children and is a wonderful asset to our First Steps classroom.

Ms. Patricia - Floater Ms. Patricia has recently joined the Goddard Team as one of our afternoon floaters in the Young Toddlers classroom. She brings a great deal of enthusiasm and knowledge into the classroom. We are happy to have her as part of our team. 

Ms. Jenny - Preschool Lead Teacher Ms. Jenny is one of our amazing Preschool teachers. She has been working with preschoolers for over 10 years and brings a great deal of knowledge into our classroom. She has a great passion for inspiring children and is a wonderful asset to the Goddard Team.

Ms. Olenka - Infant Lead Teacher We are pleased to welcome Ms. Olenka to the Goddard Family. She is our Lead Teacher in our precious Infant Room. Ms. Olenka is passionate about providing an environment that is both caring and stimulating. She also believes that teaching is a lifelong learning process and that teachers should also act as a guide to allow childrens' natural curiosity to direct their learning.

Ms. Shanell - Rays Assistant Teacher Ms. Shanell has recently joined the Goddard Family and we are excited to have her. She has many years of experience working with children from infancy to Pre-K. Ms. Shanell is currently continuing her education at Broward College where is working to obtain her degree in Elementary Education. As a teacher, Ms. Shanell's philosophy is to teach children to communicate and be leaders. She is excited to play a role in leading children in this direction.

Ms. Surumy - Lead Toddler Teacher Ms. Surumy is our Lead Toddler Teacher and we are excited to have her join the Goddard Family. She has ten years of experience in teaching children of all ages. Ms. Surumy brings a great deal of creativity and enthusiasm to the class.

Ms. Lisa - Get Set Assistant Teacher Ms. Lisa is our assistant teacher in the older two's class. She is a wonderful asset to our School and has a great deal of creativity and love to share with the children.

Ms. Sharon - Sharks Co-Teacher We are pleased to welcome Ms. Sharon to The Goddard Family. She has many years of experience in a classroom and is extremely knowledgeable and creative. She has taught children at both the preschool and kindergarten level for many years. Ms. Sharon obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of Hawaii. Her teaching philosophy is very child-centered and she strongly believes that her job is to "listen to, observe, and support children in their various journeys to self-discovery." Ms. Sharon is a wonderful asset to our School and we look forward to learning from her!

Ms. Amanda - Toddler Assistant Teacher We are pleased to welcome Ms. Amanda to the Goddard Team. Ms. Amanda brings a great deal of energy, creativity, and love into our Toddler Classroom. She believes that the most important thing a teacher can do is to love children.
