youngsters in Middletown. My daughter started there at 18 months after staying home with me and her father (who both work at home) since she was born. She was very cautious and tended to be scared of other children/new situations. I picked Goddard because I liked the class size and the teachers from the moment I visited. Since she has begun my daughter has become a real social butterfly. No longer does she cling to her father in new situations - she embraces new kids and loves playing with them! I attribute all of that to Goddard's attention to her. She LOVES going there too - in fact, on days she doesn't go she will cry to leave if she sees her school bag... The school is awesome in that they bring guests very often to visit with kids. My daughter has done Yoga, had a visit from the zoo, visits from museums, learned more sign language and words in spanish. This is all before 2 years old!... I like the security at the school - you can't even get into the building without using the fingerprint reader. The owner and staff have given us a lot of personal attention as well, which is so refreshing. I really feel like my daughter is valued there. and we were not happy with the situation and needed a change. We called Goddard and Mr. Bill (owner) heard our concerns and immediately brought us in for an appointment and a tour. He has such a wonderful personality and my son took to him right away. He made us feel comfortable and explained the program. We where thrilled when we left that day and couldn't wait for him to start. He's been there since June and in the three months he's been attending, he's just blossomed! My daughter has been at The Goddard School in Middletown for 3 years and has received excellent care and an exceptional education. The teachers are very nurturing and truly care about my child. My husband and I always say that our daughter would still be using a bottle and in diapers at 3 if it were not for the advice and guidance we received from the teachers and staff at Goddard. Being a mother who would love to be able to stay home with my child, Goddard gives me peace of mind in knowing without a doubt that she receives daily doses of love and affection (as well as needed structure, social play time and educational activities). My daughter is 2.5 and LOVES school at Goddard Middletown, DE. She was in a home daycare with 7 other kids for a year and a half and was not progressing with her gross and fine motor skills and was extremely behind with speech. In the first week at Goddard- we saw leaps and bounds of improvement with her in all areas. This has been the best decision we have ever made for her. She loves her teachers, she loves playing with her new friends, and I love getting the daily reports on her progress each day. The facilities are incredibly clean, the playground has security cameras, new sod, the activities and toys are in really great condition, and they provide snacks for the kids 2x a day. Unlike Montessori who won't accept 3 year olds who are not potty trained, my child's education and my finances are not hindered by her ability to successfully use the potty in 6 months. The owner Bill is very engaged with the school and the students as he was giving tours of the school when I was ... My daughter is 2.5 and LOVES school at Goddard in Middletown, DE. Also, my child's birthday is in October, which will result in her being held back for kindergarten, but Goddard has a program for 5 year olds that is basically like a kindergarten class for these particular kids. After checking out several local preschools in Middletown, DE (including Montessori) I think this school offers the best value and education in the area hands down.
