Medfield, MA

"This school is pure joy!"--- Caroline, mom of toddler

“The Goddard School (located) in Medfield has been a great experience for my family. My two boys, ages four and two, love their teachers and enjoy going to school everyday. It is a very welcoming environment, and I feel that all of the staff members have made an effort to really get to know my children. The personalized daily report provides great material for our dinner conversation! We couldn't be happier!” --- Dena & Chad Thompson

"My son Thomas is very happy at The Goddard School (located in Medfield). As a preschooler, he's exploring his world and his own abilities. Goddard provides a warm, educational environment with teachers who truly care about each child." ---Sarah

"My husband and I discovered The Goddard School located in Medfield when I was pregnant with our third child. Prior to this we felt that our only option was to have me stay home and not go back to work. What we discovered was exciting. We found out it was affordable to put three children in daycare. Now the choice was mine and not solely a financial one to go back to work or not. All three boys are now attending. Their teachers are professional and loving. Our boys are exposed to social skills and physical development activities in a safe and nurturing environment. We love the exposure to so many different learning opportunities throughout the day - reading, sign language, yoga, sensory table, and playtime. Our boys are allowed to explore beyond the boundaries of their toddler room which has expanded their natural curiosity and given them confidence. I can go to work knowing that my children are being challenged and motivated, are safe and most importantly loved by the great team of individuals at the school. ---Nancy

When my twin boys were 3 years old, we switched from another center to The Goddard School located in Medfield.  I think children can be happy anywhere that (the child perceives) is fun, but parents are concerned about the details of a school.  We are thrilled at how The Goddard School located in Medfield attends to the details, and wish we had joined this school sooner.  The teachers are very good about communication.  At the beginning of each month we receive a note from the teachers detailing any classroom notes and what to expect for curriculum.  They are great about sharing how your child's day went, which is so important during the toddler stage when the emotions swing from high to low so quickly.  The owner and the director put a real emphasis on monitoring the toddler room because they know at times this stage can be difficult as children exert their independence.  The school emphasizes healthy habits through nutrition and hygiene (including helping the kids enjoy brushing their teeth).  And we have been impressed by the creativity of projects that arrive home with our kids each day.  Everything feels so well thought out at this school and everything seems to be done for the benefit of the children.  I have never seen them take the 'easy way out' for the convenience of the staff.  When parents drop off and say their child is having a rough morning the director or owner quickly takes the child under her wing and helps make the morning transition smooth.  We have spent much time 'picking the brain' of the school's director on everything from potty training to the emotional life of boys and have found a real partnership that gives us confidence.  We know The Goddard School located in Medfield sees having our children (and the others) as a privilege and they live that through their actions. ---Marianne, a very happy parent

I just wanted to take the opportunity to tell you how thrilled we are to have our daughter at your school.  The flexibility and responsiveness of everyone has been absolutely amazing.  The fact that she was still able to have her two days each week (even though they were not her regular days) during the medical testing she had was so helpful and really kept her on track.  We really appreciated the director spending the time she did in the classroom observing our daughter when we had some concerns, and her sharing of thoughts/insights with both us and with the teachers has been so helpful.  Her teacher also shared great information and took a lot of time with us in the conference to help us get a really clear picture of how our daughter functions in the classroom setting.  In addition, the teachers have been so open to and great about trying out the strategies that have been suggested for our daughter.  I get updates on how those strategies are going and how she is doing in the particular areas that we were curious about every day when I pick her up.  We feel so confident that she is in the perfect place to continue to learn and grow in all areas.-  A Preschool Mom
