Christina Bassler-Director Of Education Hello! My name is Christina Bassler and I have almost 16 years experience in the Early Childhood Education field. I have my degree in Early Childhood Education and will soon earn another degree in Early Childhood Administration. I love watching children grow into little people and see them grow and develop.
Ms. Chavonne - I am the Lead Teacher for the First Steps classroom. I am a senior staff member with over seven years experience with The Goddard School® in Matthews and 16 years experience in childcare. I have my North Carolina credentials, North Carolina Early Childhood Administration I and II and First Aid and CPR training. I have two children, a son and a daughter. I enjoy reading and shopping.
Ms. Dee - I have worked at The Goddard School as a Toddler lead Teacher for approximately 6 years. I have my NC Credentials and I am First Aid and CPR certified. I have 4 children and 1 grandchild. I consider myself fortunate to have a job I enjoy and blessed to experience life once again through the eyes of a child.
Ms. Shamia - I am the Lead Teacher in the Get Set classroom. I am from West Virginia where I received my Bachelor's of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and Science from West Virginia University. During my three years at The Goddard School®, I have obtained my North Carolina credentials as well as training in CPR, first aid, fire safety and several other classes in child development. When I'm not challenging my students, I enjoy exercising, reading and watching movies.
Ms. Pam - I am theYoung Preschool Teacher. I have my North Carolina credentials and I am a level 5 Assistant Teacher. I am First Aid certified. I have eight years of childcare experience and over four years of service with The Goddard School® located in Matthews. I have three grown children. I enjoy gardening and have lived overseas for six years and speak Spanish and French.
Ms. Shelly - I am the Lead Teacher for the Older Two's classroom. I have been a preschool teacher for over 13 years and worked for The Goddard School® located in Missouri. I studied Early Childhood Education at the University of Missouri in St. Louis. I have my First Aid and CPR certification and am currently working on my North Carolina credentials. I really enjoy working with children!
Ms. Renee - I am the Health and Sanitation as well as the Quality Assurance Coordinator. I have been with The Goddard School® for five years. I have my North Carolina credentials as well as training in First Aid, CPR, SIDS and many continuous hours in Early Childhood Development. I have 10 years experience in childcare. I have a six year old son who recently graduated from Goddard. I enjoy spending time with family and friends as well as traveling.
Ms. Carolynn Hi my name is Carolynn and I have lived in Charlotte for 7 years. I just graduated this year in May with a degree in Early Childhood Education and a degree in General Education. I am CPR, First Aid, & SIDS certified. I am also a Certified Nursing Assistant. I have worked with children for 8 years, and have loved every minute of it. In my free time I love hanging out with my family and friends. I also love spending time with my boyfriend and our puppy Dublin.

Hi my name is Dianne and I am the Assistant Teacher for the Young Preschool classroom. I have a Bachelor of Business Degree from Pace University in New York and a Child Development Associate certificate from Northern Virginia Community College. I am CPR and First Aid Certified. I have enjoyed working in the Early Childhood Education field for 6 years. I am married and have three children.
Meagan C. I have been at The Goddard School for four years. I have my North Carolina Credentials and I am CPR and First Aid certified.
Erin M. I graduated from UNCC with a degree in Math. I have worked in childcare for 8 years and have been at Goddard for almost 3 years. I love working with children.
Jenna B. I am a Teacher in the Shooting Stars room. I have been with Goddard School for 5 months. I have 7 years experience working with children from ages ranging from infants to high school. I am an artist and enjoy doing creative things with children. I am CPR and First AId Certified. I am currently enrolled in classes to obtain my NC Credentials.
Amanda R. I have been working in childcare for many years because I am creative, nurturing individual who enjoys shaping young minds. I am currently going to school to get my Early Childhood Education Degree.
Rachel P. I love working with children. I currently am the afternoon teacher for the Moonbeams classroom. I also enjoy working with youth groups.
Taranja L. I have been at The Goddard School for over a year and will be finishing my degree this year in Early Childhood Education. I have worked with children for 13 years while teaching K-5 for 5 of those years. The love that I have for children keeps me coming to work everyday.
Bobby C. I am currently pursuing my degree in Creative Arts. Some of my experience with children comes from being one of ten children. My passions include art and music, and I enjoy bringing both into the classroom.
