Ms. Allison - Allison R. is our Director. Allison earned her Bachelor's degree in Child and Family Development with a minor in Psychology from UNC-Charlotte. Allison has been with Goddard since the school opened in 2001. She is newly married and enjoys spending time with her husband and their two four legged 'children'. Allison loves the school and strives to provide the highest quality program in our area.
Ms. Chavonne - I am the Lead Teacher for the First Steps classroom. I am a senior staff member with over seven years experience with The Goddard School® in Matthews and 16 years experience in childcare. I have my North Carolina credentials, North Carolina Early Childhood Administration I and II and First Aid and CPR training. I have two children, a son and a daughter. I enjoy reading and shopping.
Ms. Dee - I am the Lead Teacher for the Toddler classroom. I have been with Goddard for over a year. I have my North Carolina credentials and training in First Aid and CPR. I am the mother of four children and the grandmother of one. I enjoy the beach and shopping.
Ms. Shamia - I am the Lead Teacher in the Get Set classroom. I am from West Virginia where I received my Bachelor's of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and Science from West Virginia University. During my three years at The Goddard School®, I have obtained my North Carolina credentials as well as training in CPR, first aid, fire safety and several other classes in child development. When I'm not challenging my students, I enjoy exercising, reading and watching movies.
Ms. Kristen - I am the Lead Teacher for the Older Twos classroom. I have an Associates degree in Culinary Technology and I am currently studying Early Childhood Education at CPCC. I have my North Carolina credentials and my First Aid and CPR certification. I love working with young children and do volunteer work with children on a regular basis. I have a two year old daughter that is currently enrolled in The Goddard School®. I enjoy cooking, shopping and taking my daughter to the park.
Ms. Pam - I am theYoung Preschool Teacher. I have my North Carolina credentials and I am a level 5 Assistant Teacher. I am First Aid certified. I have eight years of childcare experience and over four years of service with The Goddard School® located in Matthews. I have three grown children. I enjoy gardening and have lived overseas for six years and speak Spanish and French.
Ms. Nicki - I am the Older Preschool Teacher. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of South Carolina and a Master's degree in Education from the Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina. I am a level 5 Lead Teacher and have my North Carolina credentials I and II. I am certified in First Aid and CPR. I have been with the Goddard School for six years. I also have Administration I and II. I have two daughters. The eldest is starting the third grade at Socrates Academy and is a Goddard graduate! The youngest is four years old and is a lightning bolt this year!
Ms. Chastity - I am the Lead Teacher in the Pre-K classroom. I attended Benedict College and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History with a minor in Education. I also attended Columbia College with a Master's of Education in Divergent Learning. I am currently working on my PhD in Early Childhood Education at Walden University. I have worked as a Pre-School, Kindergarten and First Grade Teacher. I have my First Aid and CPR certification. I enjoy reading and volunteer work.
Ms. Michelle - I am the Assistant Teacher for the First Steps classroom. I have been with The Goddard School® in Matthews for five years. I have my North Carolina credentials as well as training in CPR, First Aid and SIDS training. I have a 13 year old son and a 12 month old daughter who is getting ready to graduate from the Infant room!
Ms. Shelly - I am the Assistant Teacher for the Older Two's classroom. I recently moved to North Carolina from St. Louis Missouri. I have been a preschool teacher for over 13 years and worked for The Goddard School® in Missouri. I studied Early Childhood Education at the University of Missouri in St. Louis. I have my First Aid and CPR certification and am currently working on my North Carolina credentials. I am married and have two children. I really enjoy working with children!
Ms. Renee - I am the Health and Sanitation as well as the Quality Assurance Coordinator. I have been with The Goddard School® for five years. I have my North Carolina credentials as well as training in First Aid, CPR, SIDS and many continuous hours in Early Childhood Development. I have 10 years experience in childcare. I have a six year old son who recently graduated from Goddard. I enjoy spending time with family and friends as well as traveling.
Ms. Brittany - I am a graduate of Butler High School. I currently attend Central Piedmont to attain my North Carolina credentials. I have worked at The Goddard School® located in Matthews for over six months and I love it! I am certified in First Aid, CPR and SIDS training. I have worked with all the classrooms as a Floater and have hopes to work at Goddard for a long time. I am planning to continue my education and work with children that have special needs.
Ms. Jenna - I have worked at The Goddard School® located in Matthews for over two years. I have my North Carolina credentials and am certified in First Aid and CPR training. I am currently working to earn my Associate's degree at CPCC and plan on transferring to UNCC to pursue a degree in Elementary Education. I enjoy traveling, spending time with family and friends as well as playing with my dog, cat and guinea pigs!
