The Goddard School® located in Matthews is a Five Star Preschool! Our school has earned Five Stars from the state of North Carolina Childcare Star Rating Assessment Program.

Welcome to The Goddard School® for Early Childhood Development. We are located in the Matthews area just off Independence Boulevard and Highway 51. Please call for detailed directions. The Goddard School® located in Matthews is open Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 6 PM, year round, offering a variety of programs convenient for parents that wish for the proven advantages of a high quality preschool education for their children. We specialize in preschool age care from six weeks to six years old.

Our warm, loving atmosphere features programs that foster a love of learning and exploration targeted at every developmental age and state from our Infant program up to our Pre-Kindergarten program. Our curriculum and programs include:

- Science, Math, and Sensory Exploration
- Art and Music Appreciation
- Reading Preparation and Phonics Training
- Foreign Language
- American Sign Language

- Character Education
- Computer Training and Access in All Preschool Classrooms

Our school is staffed with experienced teachers trained and degreed in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, or Child Development. We maintain a Five Star staff education level with North Carolina. Each staff member is required to be First Aid/CPR certified as the health and safety of your child is our top priority. Through Goddard University, our staff is offered continuing education courses that keep our programs challenging and exciting for the children and the parents.
