Mr. Chris - Owner - He was born in Minnesota, grew up in California and then moved to the great state of Ohio! He graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He specialized in finance. Upon graduating he obtained his first professional job working as a mutual fund Accountant. Chris continued his education while working and received a Master's degree in Business Administration from Capital University. Chris is now thrilled to be a part of The Goddard School® family as an owner and operator in Macedonia. He enjoys each and every child and is glad to be able to provide them with a safe and nurturing environment.
Miss Sandy - Director - She was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri and relocated to Ohio after completing her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Miami University. In 2002, she graduated from Cleveland State University with a Master's degree in Educational Administration. She was in the public school system as a Teacher then Assistant Principal for seven years before staying at home to raise her daughter. She joined Goddard Systems in 2005 as an Assistant Director at the Twinsburg location before becoming Director at the Macedonia location. Sandy is excited to play such an important part in creating a loving and nurturing environment where young minds can grow.
Miss Laura - Bouncing Bunnies - Toddlers - Laura attended The University of Akron to obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance Education. Laura has worked with children of all ages from the time she was in high school. Currently, she resides in the area. Laura is excited to work with the children and their parents at The Goddard School®.
Miss Janet - Lovely Lambs - Infants - Janet graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Kent State University. Prior to joining The Goddard School, she was the Assistant Director for Huntington Learning Center in Broadview Heights for three years. She is very happy to be a part of the Goddard faculty and loves working with all of the babies.
Miss Kate - Lovely Lambs - Infants - Kate earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. She is from Twinsburg and is happy and excited to be back in the area as well as a part of the Goddard team. Kate would like to go back to school someday to study Occupational Therapy and work with kids with special needs.
Miss Kelly - Darling Ducklings - Toddlers - Kelly has a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. She is a graduate of Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio, where she learned how to make a difference in the lives of young children. Kelly enjoys working with children; she has experience teaching in many different settings and has enjoyed each one. She is excited to be working with the children at The Goddard School.
Miss Ruth - Busy Bees - Toddlers - Ruth attended Pennsylvania State University concentrating in Mathematics with a minor in Education. She was an active member on the board where all of her children attended preschool, later becoming an Assistant Teacher for five years. Ruth has also been an active volunteer of the Nordonia Schools PTSA as well as in other volunteer activities, such as Class Mom, classroom helper, field trip helper and party planner. Ruth is excited about joining The Goddard School® team and working with the children and parents.
Miss Elizabeth - Busy Bees - Toddlers - Elizabeth attended Bowling Green State University and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies, with a minor in Health Promotion. After college, Elizabeth taught preschool at Home Base Preschool in Findlay. She has recently joined The Goddard School® team in Macedonia. She will be a floater and is very excited to get to know the faculty, children and their families.
Miss Amy - Lovely Lambs - Infants - Amy graduated from the Lakota School District. Amy has four children and two stepdaughters. She has nearly six years experience in childcare and loves working with young toddlers. She can't wait to meet and get to know all of the children and their parents.
Miss Catie - Bouncing Bunnies - Toddlers - Miss Catie earned a Bachelor's degree in Education from Mount Union College. She recently graduated with a Master's degree in Adolescent Psychology. Catie began her career with The Goddard School® in September of 2007 and recently joined The Goddard School located in Macedonia. She is excited to be working with the toddlers and their families at our school.
Miss KarenAnn - Charming Chicklings - Preschool - She is a graduate of Cuyahoga Community College. While attending Tri C West, she met her husband and they have raised four children. Before joining The Goddard School®, she worked for the City of Breckville Childcare Center.
Miss Cortney - Playful Puppies - Preschool - Cortney was born in Warren and raised in Cortland, Ohio where she currently resides. She earned her Bachelor's degree as an Intervention Specialist from Kent State University. Cortney thrives on dreaming big and has huge ambitions of opening her own auditory/oral school for the deaf in Northeast Ohio. She has worked with preschool aged children for numerous years and enjoys collaborating with other professionals as well as parents. Cortney watches the growth of the children as they play meaningfully in her classroom.
Miss Jennifer - Playful Puppies - Preschool - Miss Jennifer was born in Olmsted Falls, Ohio and is a graduate of the University of Akron. She received a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. She has worked as a childrens gymnastics coach, childcare teacher and nanny. She joined The Goddard School in September 2009. She loves working with children of all ages and hopes to help the children have fun while also learning and growing. She plans to attend graduate school for School Counseling.
Miss Heather - Rockin' Robins - Pre-K - Heather obtained her Child Development Associate's credentials. She has many years experience working with children and is very excited to work at The Goddard School®. Heather loves working with children. Her main goal is to make learning fun and meaningful.
Miss Laura - Rockin' Robins - Pre-K - Miss Laura earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Youngstown State University. She taught public school for three years and was the museum Educator at the Children's Museum of the Valley in Youngstown, Ohio. Prior to coming to The Goddard School located in Macedonia, Laura worked for a Goddard School located in Mason, Ohio, for two years as a Pre-K Teacher. She is excited to put all of her experience to use to help children grow and learn.
Miss Lauren - Prancing Ponies - Pre-K - Miss Lauren graduated from Miami University in southern Ohio where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She also earned a Master's degree in Literacy Education with a Reading Endorsement from the University of Akron. Miss Lauren taught second grade for three years and first grade for one year before joining Goddard. She truly loves the enthusiasm of the children and teachers at The Goddard School® and looks forward to helping each child meet success.
Miss Angela - Floater - She is currently attending Kent Sate University and is pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education. During the school year, she volunteers in an elementary school as an Ohio Reads Tutor. She is looking forward to meeting you and your child or children!
Miss Stephanie - Floater - Miss Stephanie was born and raised in Macedonia, Ohio. She currently attends Kent State University and is pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education with an anticipated graduation year of 2011. She loves working with kids of all ages, but especially loves the toddler age! She can't wait to help all of the children at The Goddard School® learn and experience new things.
Miss Ashley - Floater - Ashley earned a Bachelor's degree in Strategic Communication from The Ohio State University. In the future, Ashley hopes to obtain a Master's degree in some area of education or education administration. She has been an active volunteer with The Ohio Reads and Adopt-A-School programs and has cared for children since high school. Ashley is very excited to join The Goddard School® team and to meet all the children.
Miss Jeanne - Floater - Miss Jeanne graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Dayton. She then taught 5th grade in the South Euclid/Lyndhurst school system for five years. She has been working within The Goddard School system for three years and enjoys reading and singing to all of the children.
Miss Rachel - Floater - Rachel recently graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor's degree in Middle Child Education. She enjoys working with children of all ages and seeing them smile with every school adventure they embark. Prior to joining Goddard, she enjoyed many years of working as a camp counselor. She is happy to be working with all of the children at The Goddard School.
