We would love to show your family our beautiful school and introduce you to our wonderful teachers.
THE ERB EARLY CHILDHOOD ADMISSIONS ASSESSMENT
Starting fall of 2009, our school has been selected, as one of 30 schools across the country, to participate in a comprehensive admissions assessment program for pre-kindergarten through first grade. This program is being developed, in collaboration with researchers at Yale University's Child Study Center and Educational Records Bureau (ERB), to evaluate a child's cognitive abilities and academic achievement. The assessment is very unique in that it is designed to be administered on touch screen computer monitors and independently completed by the child.
SCHOOL-AGE BUSING
School Busing is provided by the Nordonia Hills City School District for our school-age children five days a week to and from Ledgeview Elementary School in Macedonia. NEW THIS FALL... We have purchased our own school bus to be able to bus children to and from all other elementary schools within the Nordonia Hills School District. Thus, we are extremely excited to have school busing available to all families within our school district.
FREE TRIAL DAYS!
Please contact us regarding our "Free Trial Days" currently being offered. During a trial day, you will have the opportunity to attend school for a half-day with your child. This will allow you and your child to experience what we have to offer as well as becoming more familiar with our curriculum and our teachers.
CURRICULAR RESOURCES
We incorporate the following resources into our program, which are included in the tuition:
The Goddard Guide to Getting Along™ (Manners): This program provides an opportunity for your child to learn manners and etiquette as well as learning how to get along with their peers through friendship and cooperation.
Spanish: Our teachers are prepared to teach your children how to count, say the alphabet and even sing songs in Spanish.
Time to Sign, Inc.® (Sign Language): Our children are learning to sign in our classrooms from Infant through Preschool. They enjoy signing through singing and play. Did you know that we can sing in sign language and in Spanish?
SPARK Early Childhood Physical Activity Program: We love working with the parachutes, tunnel, bean bags, color spots and many other items that encourage physical activity.
Yoga: Our children love to practice yoga with music. Come watch us turn into different "animals"!
Rock 'n' Tot Creative Dance Play: Our children are learning to experiment with their own bodies through creative movement and learn to master basic skills.
Art History: From Van Gogh, Monet and Renoir, our children are exposed to the culture and history of such artists and their artwork using age-appropriate vocabulary, hands-on activities and games.
