Faculty Bios

Mahboob Chaghtai - My name is Mahboob Chaghtai and I Welcome you to The Goddar School® located in Leesburg. I am excited to be a part of The Goddard School®. Interacting with children and being greeted with so many smiling faces each and every day is a wonderful change from the office environment. My wife and I always wanted to own a business that would enable us to be involved in our children’s upbringing. We love the quality, high standard, and curriculum of The Goddard School® and have enjoyed being a part of a growing company.

Anjum Chaghtai - My name is Anjum Chaghtai, and I too, am excited to be part of The Goddard School® located in Leesburg. My husband and I have three children. I worked in the Virginia School Systems as a Special Education Teacher. I love to see the children learning and developing while enjoying their time at School. We are committed to providing high quality care for all the children at our School.

Beth Laliberte - Beth has been promoted to the Director of our School. She joined us in May 2006 with 15 years' teaching experience in Early Childhood Education. Beth has a CDA and has completed the Director Development program through Goddard Systems University. She is CPR/First Aid and MAT certified. (LCCN Outstanding Achievement Award for Continuing Education 2007, 2008)

Ms. Hope - Ms. Hope is the Preschool Teacher in the Parrot room. She attended both Syracuse and Oswego in New York and has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a certificate from Central Technical Vocational School for Early Childhood Education. Hope started with The Goddard School® in August 2005, having worked with children for nine years. She loves working in the Parrot room because she can see the children change from a toddler to a preschooler. At this age, it is so much fun to get down on the floor and enter their world of imagination. Hope went into teaching because from a young age she has loved children. It is wonderful to see children learn, grow and change. The best part of teaching is the relationships Hope has with the children. Hope is also CPR/First Aid certified. (LCCN Continuing Education Award 2008)

Ms. Jennifer - Ms. Jennifer is a graduate of West Virginia University. She has continued her education in Sociology at George Mason University. Jennifer started with The Goddard School® in June 2004, and had been teaching for four years prior to that. She finds it enjoyable as well as rewarding. Jennifer looks forward to teaching your precious ones, and learning from them as well. Jennifer is also First Aid certified. Jennifer has also won several awards, including LCCN Outstanding Achievement Award for Continuing Education 2006, 2007 and Goddard System's Teacher of the year award for the Southeast region, 2008-2009.

Ms. Amanda - Ms. Amanda is the mother of a wonderful boy. She graduated from George Mason University in May 2009. She joined The Goddard School®, in June 2010 as the Lead Teacher in the Pre-Kindergarten classroom. Amanda enjoys teaching young children in particular because she loves to watch them grow cognitively and learn their world. She really enjoys working with children of all ages. Amanda likes knowing that she helps accomplish something big in each child's life and that it will carry on with them forever. She feels that there is something heartwarming about the smile on their face as they are learning new things. Amanda is also First Aid/CPR certified. She looks forward to meeting all the families of our wonderful children.

Ms. Elma - Ms. Elma is the Assistant Kindergarten Teacher. She went to school in Bosnia and currently has her Child Development Associates (CDA) certification. Elma has worked with children for four years before joining The Goddard School® in January 2007. Elma is also First Aid/CPR certified.

Ms. Ruby - Ms. Ruby has been with The Goddard School since October 2005. She attended school in India and has two children of her own. She finds working with children very rewarding, helping them complete "self help" tasks and then seeing their smiles when they have accomplished it. She came to our school with one year of teaching experience and is also CPR and First Aid Certified.

Ms. Veronica - Ms. Veronica started with The Goddard School in August 2009 with four years of experience in Early Childhood Education. She works with children in our pre-kindergarten classroom, sharing her enjoyment of reading. Veronica is CPR Certified.

Ms. Courtney - Ms. Courtney is a graduate of Longwood University and carries a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies. Courtney has three years of experience in the education field. She also has experience in special education and Montessori education. Ms. Courtney started with The Goddard School in May 2010 and is excited to join The Goddard School family. She is looking forward to working with you and your children.

Ms. Sabrina - Ms. Sabrina has a bachelor's degree in early childhood education with a concentration in special education.  She really enjoys working with children of all ages.  She likes knowing that she has helped them accomplish something big in their lives that they will carry with them forever.
