Our School has provided the highest quality childcare in the West Cobb area since we opened our doors in March of 1999. We offer flexible programs for Infant through Pre-Kindergarten children as well as an after-school enrichment program for elementary school students. Our hours of operation are from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday. When your mission as a parent is to provide the best opportunity for your child to learn and grow, we deliver results!

Our experienced faculty and solid curriculum provides measurable success! After tracking the success of our students over the last decade, we are proud to report children who attend The Goddard School score higher on national assessments in both Mathematics and Reading than children who have attended other preschool programs. Higher level thinking is our goal, with the encouragement of Meta-Learning. Meta-Learning is described as the process by which learners become aware of and are increasingly in control of habits of perception, inquiry, learning and growth that they have internalized.
The Power of 'Learning Through Play' with Dr. Kyle Pruett, and the 6 Cs.
Extensive research and recent evidence indicates that play is a critical component in the educational experience of infants and toddlers, particularly with early stimulation and its effect on the development of the central nervous system. Clinical Professor of Child Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine and Goddard School advisor Dr. Kyle Pruett has helped research and develop The Goddard School program, based on the 'Learning Through Play' studies. The 6 Cs of the FLEX Learning Program are Collaboration, Communication, Content, Critical Thinking, Confidence and Creative Innovation. Each classroom at The Goddard School located in Kennesaw at Brookstone features a lead teacher whose qualifications include educational degrees in early childhood education and child development. We also maintain lower ratios than recommended by state licensing agencies. With qualified teachers and low student-to-teacher ratios, we are able to implement specialized learning centers, more productive instructional periods and greater opportunities for one-on-one interaction between your child and their teacher. Our lesson plans are written by our teachers weekly, and are tailored to present an individualized program, with a focus on differentiated learning styles. These are a few of the things we believe set The Goddard School located in Kennesaw apart from the rest.
We supplement our programs with a wide variety of extra-curricular activities including Smartboard Technology, Spanish, Sign Language, Yoga, Music and Movement, Mandarin Chinese, Creative Art, Science and Computer Lessons. These programs are all included as part of your tuition, and are taught each and every day. Our curriculum is tailored to run parallel to the Cobb County Kindergarten program to help prepare our students for the next step in their educational career. By providing the adventure of trying new things within a secure, personal setting, your child is afforded the chance to develop his or her talents and acquire new skills and interests. We believe that a well-rounded child will be a successful child.
