Margarita R. - Infant -
Margarita has fourteen years experience in the childcare industry. She has been an infant teacher for ten of these fourteen years. Margarita just loves working with this age group. Margarita is very happy to be a member of the Katy community and The Goddard School.
Minerva H. - Infants - Minerva attends Wharton Junior College where she majors in Business Administration. She plans to open her own childcare business in the future, especially for children with special needs. Minerva is especially interested in how children communicate, develop and interact with others. Working at The Goddard School helps her understand how important it is to educate children while having fun at the same time.
Becky H. - Infants - Becky graduated from Florida Institute of Technology with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. She has been a part of our Goddard family since the opening of our school in 2010.
Brittainy C. - First Steps - Brittainy is super excited to be a part of the First Steps team at The Goddard School located in Katy. She joining us from The Goddard School located in Cedar Park, Texas. She attended the University of Texas and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Applied Learning and Development. Her first job in licensed childcare was at the UTCDC.
Brittainy C. - First Steps - Brittainy is super excited to be a part of the First Steps team at The Goddard School located in Katy. Jennifer M. - First Steps - Jennifer has been working in the child development field for twenty years and truly adores children and believes they are precious, innocent and captivating. "It's my pleasure to be a part of your children daily lives. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to make a joyous and memorable impact on them," adds Jennifer.
Danielle H. - Young Toddlers - Danielle studied education at Sam Houston State university. She is the second oldest of ten siblings and has always loved being around children. She is very excited to join The Goddard School and hopes to contribute to the excellence of our program.
Luz L. - Young Toddlers - Luz is currently a student at Wharton Junior Community College where she is majoring in Business. She loves working with children, and enjoys engaging with them as they learn.
Meagan R. - Young Toddlers Meagan graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Spanish from Dominican College. She plans to continue working on getting a degree in Education and eventually a Master's degree. She comes from a large family so she has plenty of little cousins which to enjoy, play with and enrich their lives. Meagan is very happy to have the opportunity to work with our Young Toddlers and proud to say they have embraced her not only as a teacher, but as someone they can look up to.
Magaly R. - Toddlers - Magaly attended the University of Houston and is working on her Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. She is a certified Montessori teacher and previously worked at a Montessori school in the Houston area. She has six years experience working as a lead teacher and a nanny. Magaly is fluent in Spanish and Toddler Sign Language.
Courtney F. - Toddlers - Courtney is a graduate of Prairie View A & M University. She earned a degree in Health Education with a minor in Psychology. She plans to pursue a second degree in the spring of 2012. Courtney has a passion for working with children which is evident in the classroom. She has over five years of experience in childcare. It brings her great pleasure to come in each day and teach the children in her classroom.
Janet F. - Get Set - Janet graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She currently is working on her Texas Teacher Certification in grades EC-6. Janet has worked with children many years. She has taught in private schools, volunteered in the Boy Scouts of America, and many other school activities. Janet is passionate about children and is very pleased to have the opportunity to be a part of The Goddard School located in Katy.
Clover S. - Get Set Clover has been working with children for twenty-one years. Her first exposure to teaching was as a teen, where she volunteered to work with handicapped students. When she began her first job as an assistant teacher, she knew that teaching was what she wanted to do as a career. Clover studied at Louisiana State University and majored in Elementary Education with a minor in Child Growth and Development. Her desire is to help mold young children and make a difference in thier lives. Having three children of her own, Clover understands the importance of leaving a positive impression during the early childhood developmental stages. Her goal is to encourage the young children that she has the privilege of working with; helping them develop the peace and confidence they need before entering elementary school.
Melanie H. - Get Set - Melanie is a native Texan and while attending high school she took a child development class that made her realize she loved children. She has worked in other preschools where she was able to hone her skills both as a mother and teacher. Now she is excited to be part of a great team and working with her students as they grow and develop.
Courtney C. - Preschool - Courtney has been teaching in the childcare industry since 2006. When she became a mother, it made her realize how important life is and it motivated her to do something that involved children. She is pursuing an Associate of Arts degree in Elementary Education to become a certified teacher. Courtney loves every minute of teaching and playing with the children and is very proud to be a part of The Goddard School for years to come.
Donna D. - Preschool - Donna was born and raised in Katy and left to attend Stephen F. Austin State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. She has also taught Fourth Grade in Katy ISD for seventeen years and after deciding to take a break from public education, she became a preschool teacher. Donna has been teaching and working with three to four year olds for almost three years and absolutely loves it!
Maria F. - Preschool 2 - Maria is also a graduate of the Ashworth University Childcare Professional Program and has been teaching Pre-K for four years.
Mehvish M. - Preschool 2 - Mehvish is a native New Yorker and holds a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems from the prestigious Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. While in college, Mehvish was given the opportunity to teach at the elementary level. She is very excited to work again with children at The Goddard School located in Katy.
Yoon K. - Preschool 2 - Yoon has a Bachelor's degree in Art at California State University in Northridge, specializing in art for children. With the use of his education, he has had many memorable experiences with children at two preschools in Los Angeles for the last eight years, setting up many types of fundamental art activities to improve on their growth in creativity and high-quality education.
Jennifer C. - Pre-K - Jennifer is a graduate of the University of Houston with a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. Her specializations are early childhood general education and special education.
Shannon D. - Pre-K - Mrs. Shannon graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. Her specialization is Early Childhood. Throughout college, she worked at a child development center learning best practices for children. Her favorite time with children is enjoying hands on activities, reading books and singing. One of her favorite parts of teaching is celebrating the successes other students with their parents. She has taught in public schools K-3.
Linda D. - Junior K - Ms. Linda is a Texas State certified teacher with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary studies in Language Arts/Reading and a minor in English. Although Ms. Linda resides in Austin County, she is no stranger to the Katy area, having completed her student-teaching in the Katy Independent School District and worked for other private schools in the area. Ms. Linda has worked as a journalist at The Katy Times but is excited to be working with preschoolers again. “Children are like sponges…they love to learn about the world around them. I am so happy to be a part of such a professional team of teachers, and to have the opportunity to work with an organization with such high principles of delivering high-quality education,” says Linda.
Kim P. - Junior K
Kim specializes in teaching physical fitness, art and drama. She has developed many early childhood programs through learning with movement and has been working with children for fifteen years.
Mauricio G. - Kitchen Manager Mauricio attended Texas A&M and the University of Houston. He has been working with children for several years on a one on one basis as well as in a preschool setting. He believes that learning should be fun and therefore teaches with enthusiasm and creativity to keep the children focused and enjoying the curriculum.
