Mary & Wayne Mulcahy, School Owners - Mary and Wayne are thrilled to be the Owners of The Goddard School® located in Jamison. Mary is the full-time, on-site owner of the school. Mary has undergraduate degrees from both Arcadia University and The College of New Jersey, in Biology and Music Education respectively. She has also earned a Masters of Education degree from LaSalle University. Mary is certified in Curriculum and Instruction and has her Principal certification, both from Lehigh University. Prior to becoming a Goddard School owner, Mary enjoyed a career as a public school teacher, teaching at both the elementary and middle-school levels in the Pennsbury School District in Fallsington, Pennsylvania. Wayne has a PhD in Pharmacology from Temple University School of Medicine and prior to becoming a Goddard School owner, was a Vice President in the pharmaceutical industry. Mary and Wayne have raised three children of their own and recognize the importance of a safe and nurturing learning environment. Their son, Matt, has a degree in Biology from Wake Forest and is pursuing a PhD in Pharmacology at Brown University. Their daughter, Laura, has earned a Master’s degree from Brown University and is an Environmental Scientist. Their son, Andrew, is pursuing a PhD at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Miss Kelly Director -
Miss Kelly is the Director at The Goddard School located in Jamison and has been with us since February 2009. She is a graduate of Council Rock High School and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Penn State University. She also has a certificate in Infant/Toddler care and has worked in the field of Early Childhood for ten years including service coordination for the Bucks County Early Intervention Program and an Administrative Directorship at The Goddard School® in Columbia, Maryland. She truly loves seeing the children smile every day and watching the teachers reach their potential as educators. In her free time Miss Kelly enjoys outings with her family, running, experimenting with photography, and spending summer weekends in Ocean City, New Jersey.
Miss Barbie Get Set I -
Miss Barbie has worked for our school since 1998. She is the Head Teacher in the Get Set classroom and loves every minute of it. She has participated in many early childhood conferences and Goddard University trainings through the years and is one of our senior teachers. She enjoys doing crafts, baking and gardening with her Get Set students, and the hugs are the best!
Miss Joanna First Steps -
Miss Joanna is the Head Teacher in the First Steps Pre-Toddler classroom. She joined The Goddard School In January 2011 and has been an early childhood educator for over ten years. She has earned a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and has been working with children ages birth to five in both lead and assistant teacher positions. She loves seeing the smile on a child's face when he/she learns a new task! She has enjoyed getting to know all the children and families and is happy to be part of the Goddard family.
Miss Mary Anne Kindergarten -
Miss Mary Anne joined The Goddard School of Jamison in September 2010 as our Head Kindergarten Teacher. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Gwynedd Mercy College with a Permanent Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate. She has taught Kindergarten for over 20 years and has been working in the field of Elementary Education for almost 40 years. Many of her years of experience were teaching at St. John Bosco Elementary School in Hatboro. She feels that “Everyday is different!” and “Children are enthusiastic and excited about everything!” Miss Mary Anne really enjoys reading in her free time. She has also worked at the Disney Store for 10 years and one of her most favorite things to do is visit Disney World!
Miss Heather Toddler I -
Miss Heather is the Head Teacher in our Toddler I classroom and joined The Goddard School in January 2011. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from Temple University and is working toward her PA teaching certificate. She has experience working with young preschool students as well as practicum and teaching experiences in kindergarten through third grade. Heather joined our School as a floater and substitute and was quickly promoted to Head Teacher after demonstrating a genuine interest and love for the children as well as being a dedicated educator to our young students. She is a wonderful addition to the Goddard family.
Miss Kelly Preschool -
Miss Kelly is the Head Teacher in our Preschool II classroom. She has been working at The Goddard School of Jamison since 2000 and has also been awarded "Teacher of the Year" for 2009. She absolutely loves working with young children. She has achieved a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhodd Education from Holy Family University.
Miss Samantha Get Set I -
Miss Sam is the Assistant Teacher in the Get Set classroom and has been with our School for almost three years. She is a graduate of Temple University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Education. She loves working with children and loves that the children make her laugh and smile every day. She enjoys seeing the excitement on their faces when they learn new things and loves to watch them grow and develop through the year.
Miss Elizabeth Preschool -
Miss Elizabeth is the Assistant Teacher in the Preschool II classroom and has been with The Goddard School located in Jamison for almost two years. She is a Temple University graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech-Language-Hearing Science. She loves working with children and plans to continue working in the Preschool setting, specializing in speech development and articulation after completing a Masters degree in Speech Pathology. "Every day at the school is more exciting than the last, as I watch each child grow and accomplish more and more."
Miss Lynn Pre Kindergarten -
Miss Lynn is the Assistant Teacher in the Pre Kindergarten classroom and has been with The Goddard School since the summer of 2008. She has been teaching in the field of early childhood for over twenty years. She recently earned a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. She “loves to see children grow throughout the school year and finds it very rewarding.”
Miss Rose Infants -
Miss Rose is the Head Teacher in the Infant classroom and has been with our school since the Fall of 2008. Miss Rose has spent many years doing volunteer work in the community and at her children’s schools. She has also earned a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. She is happy to be working with your babies and loves watching them experience new things. “They are truly a joy to be around.”
Miss Debbiann Pre Kindergarten -
Miss Debbiann is the Lead Teacher in the Pre-Kindergarten Sunshine Classroom. She has taught Religious Education for 15 years, Special Education for 10 years, and Kindergarten for 5 years. She graduated from Gwenydd Mercy College with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, and from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania with certification in Special Education. She is a trainer of the Theory and Research into Practice for Reading and Writing Program (T.R.I.P.) and also a recipient of the BCAEYC's "Outstanding Educator Award."
Miss Brittany First Steps -
Miss Brittany is the Assistant Teacher in the First Steps classroom. Miss Brittany joined The Goddard School in February 2011 with a love of working with young children. Miss Brittany has been working with young children for a couple years both as an assistant teacher and as a nanny. She enjoys working with children of all ages and is working toward earning a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential this summer. She is enjoying getting to know all of our wonderful staff and families and it is a pleasure having her as part of our faculty.
Miss Jennifer Kindergarten - Miss Jennifer joined The Goddard School of Jamison in September 2010 as our Transitional Kindergarten Teacher. Miss Jennifer has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a Pennsylvania Elementary Education Certification. She has taught Kindergarten for the Abington School District and has substituted at the K-6 levels for the past few years. She loves to watch the children’s constant joy, growth, and sponge-like learning! In her free time she enjoys watching the Phillies, playing with her three Boston Terrier dogs, going to the beach, and doing arts and crafts. She also enjoys traveling and anything Disney!
Miss Tori Toddler II - Miss Tori joined our faculty in February 2010 and has been working as a floater and substitute until she was recently promoted to the Assistant Teacher in Toddler 2. Miss Tori is student at Montgomery County Community College working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary & Special Education. She is very involved in her community serving as a CYO board member and coordinates event planning for St. John Bosco Rectory. She also has interest in the medical field and works at Doylestown Hospital on the weekends. Early childhood experience includes babysitting, camp counselor and other teaching assistant opportunities in the community. While not studying her coursework, Miss Tori really enjoys spending time outdoors, reading and spending time at the beach.
Miss Laura Get Set II -
Miss Laura joined our School in July 2010 and has been working in our Toddler Preschool program ever since. She is the Lead Teacher in the Get Set II classroom and loves working with that age group! She has been working in the field of early childhood education for four years. She has a Bachelor of Science degree with emphasis on Early Childhood and Professional Education studies from West Chester University. She loves to watch children learn and grow into bright little people. We are happy to have her be part of our School.
Miss Nicole Assistant Director - Miss Nicole joined our School with the start of our 2010/2011 school year. She is a graduate of Bloomsburg University with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education as well as a private academic teaching license. She has six years of preschool teaching experience, most specifically at the Pre-K and Kindergarten levels and specializes in curriculum. She loves to work with children because they are so anxious to learn and eager to explore the world. In her free time, she enjoys being outside and reading Nicholas Sparks books. Miss Nicole was born in New Hampshire and loves visiting every year to enjoy the fall foliage and apple picking. She is married with two young children. She is happy to be part of the Goddard family.
Miss Dianne S Get Set 2 -
Miss Dianne joined The Goddard School located in Jamison in December of 2010 as the Assistant Teacher in the Get Set 2 classroom. She has a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education from Temple University and is working toward a PA teaching certificate. She has experience working with children of all ages, yet also has many years of retail experience as a store manager. She has enjoyed getting to know all the families and students. We are happy to have her as part of our team.
Miss Christina Floater/Sub - Miss Christina has been with The Goddard School since September 2008 and has worked in all of our classrooms getting to know all of our wonderful children and families. Miss Christina earned an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education and is now a student at Temple University working toward a certification in Occupational Therapy. She loves working with children of all ages. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach, hanging out with friends, and working out. She is a joy to be around and really loves getting involved with the kids.
Miss Anna Toddler 2 -
Miss Anna joined the Goddard School in February 2011 with a love for teaching young children. She has five children of her own and has been involved in the field of education for many years. She also has a unique interest in supporting children with special needs including training in floor time methods and American Sign Language. Miss Anna has been very involved in her community and has worked in a variety of settings including St. John United Methodist Church and Doylestown Hospital. She is a student working toward her Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and is looking forward to advancing her career in early childhood education. It is a pleasure to have her as part of our faculty.
Miss Stephanie Floater/Sub - Miss Stephanie joined our School with the start of our 2010/2011 school year. She is a student at Montgomery County Community College and will soon transfer to Temple University in pursuance of a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She enjoys being around children while also spending time babysitting and observing classrooms. She is spending time getting to know our students and families while assisting in many of our classrooms. In her free time she enjoys reading, watching movies and swimming.
Miss Cheryl Van Driver - Miss Cheryl joined our School with the start of the 2010 academic school year as our van driver for our Kindergarten Enrichment students. Miss Cheryl’s varied background involves restaurant ownership and management, catering, customer service and many community service volunteer opportunities. She is a member of 4-H and participates in annual Grange Fairs, while also raising seeing-eye puppies and taking care of independent living senior citizens. She also enjoys spending a lot of time with her teenage daughter and going to the beach. She loves getting to know people and loves spending time with young children. She is looking forward to a great relationship with The Goddard School!
Miss Diane Infants - Miss Diane joined The Goddard School in October 2010. She has a current RN license in the state of Pennsylvania and has worked in the medical field for over 15 years. She also spent many years raising her three children and supporting their schools through a variety of volunteer positions, including assisting in the nurse’s office, library, and lunch room. She really loves working with young children and is excited to work with our young Infants. In her free time she enjoys reading, spending time with friends and supporting her children in their sporting and dance activities.
Miss Brooke Toddler 2 -
Miss Brooke joined our School in October 2010 as an Assistant Teacher in our Toddler Preschool program. She earned an Early Childhood Education certificate and is currently working toward a Bachelor’s degree in ECE. Miss Brooke has several years of preschool teaching experience including working at The Goddard School located in Newark for five years. Miss Brooke feels that “children are naturally curious and want to learn about the world around them from the time they are born.” She loves being able to instill confidence in them by allowing them to try new things.
