This month we recognize Ms. Jasmin for her excellent performance. Be sure to congratulate her when you see her!

Billy Register - Owner - I am so excited to be the on-site owner of The Goddard School. Before this new chapter, I spent the majority of my career in the Broadcast Television field. I believe this uniquely prepared me for the Early Childhood Education industry with experience in the creative arts as well as business management. My wife and I strongly believe our school must be a safe, loving and nurturing environment for all of the young children entrusted to our care. Our family enjoys music, travel, spending time together and all types of sporting events. We are so happy our young son Jack is a student here at The Goddard School. We want the absolute best for him as we do for all of our families.

Lisa Overman - Educational Director - I am the mother of three beautiful girls and I am thrilled to be the Educational Director of The Goddard School. My Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education and my Master of Arts Degree in Educational Leadership have provided me with the education necessary to not only to lead our teachers, but to help them develop and implement exciting and engaging lesson plans. Through this curriculum development we will help the children become active learners and foster a lifelong love of learning along the way. Our vision for The Goddard School is to give our children the highest quality education provided to them by experienced and educated teachers with a passion for teaching. As an extension of the home, we will create a warm, loving, and nurturing environment in which the children can flourish and grow.

Ms. Kristen - Kristen Shannon is our Assistant Educational Director. Kristen received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Bowling Green State University in the College of Education and Human Development with a minor in Business and Political Science. Kristen has worked in childcare for over ten years. She began with nannying and furthered her career at The Peanut Gallery in Texas and The Goddard School as a toddler lead teacher. Kristen takes great pride in being a part of children's lives and believes that we learn best through love and laughter.

Ms. Katie - Ms. Katie is our Lead Infant Teacher.  Ms. Katie recently moved to Jacksonville Beach from Raleigh North Carolina. She has earned her Associate of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Development and she is excited to be graduating in December with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. Katie brings to the Goddard School 16 years of experience in the field of early childhood development. She has worked in many different environments and with all age groups. Katie says that she truly loves what she does. She is passionate about providing a safe, nurturing and fun environment where children can learn and have fun. Katie is so excited to be working for The Goddard School and she absolutely loves providing love, warmth and nurturing to all of her babies in the infant classroom.

Ms. Roberta - Ms. Roberta is excited to be taking care of your infants as the Assistant Infant Teacher. She feels that working with children is her calling and is very passionate about it. Roberta has completed the Department of Children & Families courses in areas such as Health, Safety, Nutrition, Behavioral Observation, Child Growth and Development, as well as Early Literacy for Children. In addition, she has participated in many other field-related training classes. Roberta has years of work experience with infants and toddlers. She obtained her Associate's degree in Science in Therapeutic Massage. She aspires to earn her degree in psychology.

Ms. Colleen - Ms. Colleen is our Assistant First Steps Teacher.  Ms. Colleen comes to us most recently from Atlanta, Georgia. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree from George Mason University in the field of Psychology. Colleen brings with her twenty years of teaching experience. She has worked with all ages of preschool children ranging from one-year-olds through the Pre-Kindergarten ages. She enjoys watching young children learn by singing, playing and having fun. Colleen says she considers it an honor to be a part of your child’s daily life.

Ms. Ashley - Ms. Ashley is our Lead Teacher in our First Steps classroom.  Ashley has her Bachelor’s degree in social work from Barton College and has continued her coursework in graduate school at East Carolina University studying early childhood education and special education.  She has nine years of experience working in early childhood and has worked in two separate pre-kindergarten classrooms for children with autism.  Ashley has also worked in another Goddard School in North Carolina for a year.

Ms. Karyn - Ms. Karyn is our Goddard Chef.  Ms. Karyn has been working in childcare since 1980. She has a great love for children and they are the center of her life. She has three children of her own and she has been a Cub Scout leader, team mom for all of her children’s sports teams and room mom for all of her children’s classrooms. She has spent a lot of time volunteering at her children’s school. She is so happy to be here every day to take care of your precious children.

Ms. Brittany S. Ms. Brittany is one of our Co-Lead Teachers in our Toddler Classroom! She has her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sociology at the University of North Florida. Brittany’s career goal is to be a Department of Defense teacher on a military base overseas and eventually become a child psychologist. Brittany has three years' experience working in childcare and already loves every minute here.

Ms. Shari - Ms. Shari is a Co-Lead Teacher in our Toddler Classroom.  Shari adores working with children and is pleased and honored to be a part of The Goddard School. She will soon have her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Child Psychology. She also minored in Pre-K primary education. Shari has been in the childcare field for nearly ten years. Shari believes that young children crave knowledge and guidance. She is an aspiring child psychologist. Shari considers educators to be role models. She says it is our job to provide children with the tools they need to become successful individuals. Shari says she wants to be the person that instills good morals and character in each and every child. Twenty years from now, she wants someone to say, "Miss Shari made an impact in my life."

Ms. Kelli Ms. Kelli is our Assistant Teacher in our Get Set Classroom.  Kelli has over 18 years of experience in early childhood education with all ages from infants to school age children.  She chose to work in the childcare field because she loves children and enjoys watching them learn, grow, and express themselves in individual ways.  Kelli enjoys the one on one interaction with the children and is looking forward to building many positive memories here at the Goddard School.

Ms. Rheanne Ms. Rheanne is our Lead Teacher in the Preschool I Classroom.  Rheanne is a graduate of the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss).  She has a degree in Elementary Education for grades K-8.  She has a concentration in science and social studies with a minor in English. She loves working with children and is excited to make a difference in the life of your child.

Ms. Jasmin Ms. Jasmin is our Assistant Teacher in the Preschool I Classroom. We are happy to have Jasmin join us here at The Goddard School! Jasmin has her Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Florida in Elementary Education with a specialization in Early Childhood Education. She has had the opportunity to experience working with Pre-K students as a student teacher and it was then that she realized her passion for building a strong foundation for students to learn. Jasmin has taught kindergarten for 4 years in an urban school setting with Duval County Public Schools from 2004 until 2008. She is honored that The Goddard School has allowed her this opportunity and entrusted her with the care of your children. She will continue to embrace and share her love for teaching in partnership with you!

Ms. Michelle Ms. Michelle is the Assistant Teacher in our VPK / Pre-K I Classroom. We would like to welcome back Ms. Michelle to The Goddard School! Michelle completed her student teaching here at The Goddard School and is now back to assist in teaching our VPK program. Michelle has her Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education from Penn Foster and is continuing her education to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Special Education. Michelle has worked with students as a paraprofessional for 5 years in a special education classroom. Working with children is her passion and she is excited to become a part of our Goddard team!

Ms. Devon Ms. Devon is the Assistant Teacher in our VPK / Pre-K II Classroom.  Devon loves working with young children.  She has an Associate’s degree in Child Development from Florida State College of Jacksonville.  Devon also has acquired her 40-hour certification from the Department of Children and Families and is CPR and First Aid certified.  Devon has been working in childcare for nine years.  She has experience teaching first grade art, assisted in kindergarten, and has taught two-year-olds for three years.  Her passion is teaching and doing art projects with the children.

Ms. Dawn - Miss Dawn is the Lead Teacher in our Pre-Kindergarten classroom. Dawn is excited to be a part of our Goddard School family. Dawn has her Bachelor's degree in Sociology with a minor in Elementary Education from Florida A&M University. She has 12 years of experience working in early childhood centers and has taught VPK for five years. Dawn loves teaching children ages 3 to 5 because of their love for learning. Her favorite part of teaching is watching children learn new things! Dawn loves spending her days at The Goddard School and with her son, who is also part of The Goddard School family. Dawn believes that all children have the capacity to learn when given the right tools and guidance.

Ms. Faith Ms. Faith is excited to be joining our Goddard School Family! She has been in the childcare industry for over 10 years! She started babysitting at eight years old and got her first job in daycare when she was 12! She knows the importance of lesson plans, structure, a good learning environment and socializing for infants and toddlers. She is currently finishing her Associate's degree in early childhood development at FSCJ and hopes to continue her education in Elementary Education. She loves children and loves being able to put a smile on their faces.

Ms. Christina         Ms. Christina received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Childhood Education from The University of North Florida. She has had the opportunity to work with many of the local Duval county school districts. In her internship at Kings Trail Elementary, she had the privilege to work with ESOL students from about thirteen different countries speaking many different languages. Christina enjoys teaching and spending time with her family. Christina is so happy to be here at The Goddard School and is looking forward to teaching VPK.

Ms. Mary - Ms Mary is our Assistant in the Young Toddler classroom. Mary is very excited to be working here at The Goddard School. Mary has always loved working with children and has taught kindergarten class with her church for two years along with being an assistant art teacher. Mary is a graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelor's degree in Studio Art. Mary believes that patience and a positive attitude are keys to inspiring children. Mary also believes that children reflect what they see, so keeping a smile on her face and staying positive is her top priority. Mary cannot wait to be part of  your children's lives every day and to help inspire them.

Ms. Andrea - Ms. Andrea is our Lead Teacher in the Get Set classroom. Andrea has been working in the childcare field for the past nine years with experience at The Goddard School, Bright Horizons and The Academy at Julington Creek. In 2010 Andrea became a surgical tech specializing in otolaryngology but soon realized she missed the classroom setting and returned to childcare. “Children are the world’s most valuable resource and its best hope for the future.” -JFK

Ms. Keshia - Keshia is excited to be a part of the Goddard family. Keshia is a graduate of The University of North Florida and has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Her goal is to become a college professor. Keshia loves working with children of all ages. She looks forward to becoming a part of your children’s daily life and watching them grow.
