Employee of the Month: Ms. Jen
We are excited to celebrate Ms. Jenn this month at The Goddard School located in Hillsboro. Jenn has done a wonderful job working in our Pre-Kindergarten classroom. She has not only done a fabulous job getting the children ready for Kindergarten, but also provides a fun and creative learning environment for each child in her care. T.R. Hutchinson - I am the Owner of The Goddard School®, along with my wife, Pam. I have 26 years of experience in sales, business, and finance. I graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. I am the proud father of two boys, Robby and Riley. I came into this business to make a difference in a child’s life. To see the growth of my own two boys made me fully aware of how a school like this can truly help children grow.
Pam Hutchinson - I am the Owner of The Goddard School®, along with my husband, T.R. My background is in property management and retail sales management for about 18 years. My most recent position is that of a stay-at-home mom of two boys, Robby and Riley. My favorite thing of all in this business is interacting with the children. I love to see their smiles, hear their laughter, and yes, even their crying. All of this assures me that I am doing the right thing, and that we are truly making a difference in their lives. I feel I am pretty outgoing and I get along well with people. I love the challenge of taking on new things. I look forward to all the new things this school will provide for me.
Teresa Wilson - I am proud to be the Director at The Goddard School® located in Hillsboro! I graduated from Augustana College with my Bachelor's degree in Psychology. I am passionate about working with younger children because their enthusiasm is heartfelt when learning new ideas. I have enjoyed teaching in the preschool classrooms for two years and working with all of the families as Assistant Director. I love being a part of the learning process, in and out of the classroom, and look forward to meeting many new faces. I am looking forward to my future at Goddard.
Mr. Chris - My name is Mr. Chris and I am very proud and excited to be a part of The Goddard School® team. I had a wonderful time as the lead teacher in the Ranch classroom and hope to bring my experience and ideas to the front office as the Assistant Director.
I am an Oregon native and graduated from UCSC with a major in Community Studies in Public Health Education. Before coming to The Goddard School, I worked at many non-profit agencies as an outreach worker and social counselor.
Again, I am very excited to be a part of a wonderful school and surrounded by a talented group of staff and peers. I look forward to meeting you and your child and making your Goddard experience the best possible.
Ms. Erin - Throughout my professional career, I have worked with children 6 weeks to 12 years old. I have earned a Child Development Associate's certification, and have completed many courses in Early Childhood Education. In my future, I want to pursue a degree in Social Work/Human Services. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing softball and dodgeball.
Ms. Lupe - I was born in Michoacan, Mexico. I am married and have a beautiful daughter who is two years old. I earned a Bachelor's of Science with a Liberal Studies degree, and a minor in Spanish through Oregon State University. Following that, I worked for the Oregon Child Development Coalition Migrant Head Start and in partnership with Community Action. In my spare time, I love being in nature, camping, fishing, swimming, running and working in my garden.
Ms. Jessica - I went to George Fox University for my undergrad, and then continued to get my Master of Arts in Teaching. Working with children is a passion of mine and The Goddard School is going to be a great place to come and work each day. I have a daughter whom I do everything with. We enjoy camping, swimming, bowling, and movie nights. As a parent, I understand how important it is that we feel comfortable with the people caring for and teaching our children.
Ms. Traci - I am a native Oregonian. I am excited to work at The Goddard School® as I am gaining great experience as I plan to obtain a degree in Child Psychology. In my spare time, I like taking long walks on the beach, reading and singing Country music. I look forward to working with all the great families at The Goddard School®.
Ms. Amanda - I graduated from Aloha High School and took multiple child development and art classes throughout those four years. I recently coached a youth cheerleader team, and found watching the girls build confidence, learn and have fun to be a very rewarding experience. I love working with children, painting, and being outdoors. I'm definitely a kid at heart and have a lot of energy! I'm thrilled to start a career helping children learn because it makes me feel like I'm making a difference in this big world we live in. I'm so excited to be a part of The Goddard School®!
Ms. Cady ("K-D") - I have been in childcare for a little over six years, and I love it! I am currently enrolled at Portland Community College pursuing my degree in teaching. In my spare time, I am a big sports and music fan. I love Hockey, Softball, and Baseball. I'm also big on the great outdoors, especially fishing, camping, and swimming.
Ms. Mallory - I am so excited to be a member of The Goddard School® team. Along with taking numerous Child Development courses, I have volunteered many hours at Beaver Acres Elementary School and nannied. In my spare time, I love to watch movies and cook. I look forward to meeting all of the families at The Goddard School®.
Ms. Jenn - I graduated from Seattle University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with hopes of one day becoming a Child Life Specialist. While in Seattle I worked at Virginia Mason/Bright Horizons TLC with children up to twelve years who had mild illnesses. I have also gained experience in after-school and summer programs. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends at the coast or camping. I enjoy all types of music, watching movies and sports, even admiring classic cars. I look forward to meeting all of the families, and building strong, supportive relationships.
Ms. Megan - I graduated from Gettysburg College with a degree in History. I had an amazing opportunity to volunteer in a Head Start classroom there which let me work with some great kids who were getting ready to go to Kindergarten. I am also a CYO Track coach with Valley Catholic School in Beaverton. I'm very excited to be here at The Goddard School.
Ms. Jenna - I was born in Portland and graduated from Glencoe High School. I started working at the preschool through Glencoe and knew kids would be a life-long goal of mine. I am very excited and lucky to have the opportunity to work here at The Goddard School.
Ms. Talea - I graduated from Hillsboro High School in 2008 with a certificate of Advanced Mastery in Early Childhood Education. I am currently taking classes at PCC and working towards my career in education. In my spare time I like watching movies, cooking, and listening to music. I have a golden retriever named Riley, and he is the love of my life!
Ms. Maria - I attended Lane Community College and graduated with an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education. I am currently working on my Bachelor's degree in Family Human Services at PCC and plan on transferring to PSU. I am very excited to be here at The Goddard School.
Ms. Amber It is my passion to care for and teach children. I am a foster mom to a precious little girl and I have 14 wonderful nieces and nephews. I love to spend time with my family and friends. Also, in my spare time I love to read, watch inspirational movies, and take road trips. I am very excited to be a toddler teacher here at The Goddard School. I've enjoyed being a toddler teacher for the past 10 years and look forward to my time with your children.
Ms. Katie My name is Katie and I am happy to be a teacher in the Meadow classroom. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development:Family Sciences and have spent the majority of my professional years working with infants and toddlers as a patient educator. I feel that the early years are full of learning opportunities, and I love being a part of that by providing compassionate care and guidance to the children in my classroom. In my free time I enjoy arts and crafts and watching Jane Austin movies. I am very excited to be a part of The Goddard School located in Hillsboro, OR.
Ms. Jenny Hi, my name is Jenny. I graduated from Hillsboro High School in 2008 with an Early Childhood Education Certificate and have been teaching ever since. I love working with children of all ages and I am very excited to join the team here at The Goddard School located in Hillsboro OR. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also love going to the beach, playing softball, and spoiling my dog. I am very excited to be here at The Goddard School.
Ms. Deserae Hi, my name is Deserae. I was born in Portland but was raised in Arizona for most of my life. Currently I live in Tigard with my 3 dogs. I have experience working with children in the past and I am excited to be here at The Goddard School. When I'm not working, I love to hang out with my family and have movie nights. I also enjoy hanging out with friends, laughing, and having a good time. I am very much looking forward to learning new things here at the Goddard School located in Hillsboro OR.
Ms. Marie Hi, my name is Marie. I grew up in Beaverton but now live in Hillsboro with my loving husband, stepson, and my dog. I have always loved to teach and went to Portland Community College where I received my ECE certificate. I have gained valuable experience working in the childcare business and love every minute of it.. I'm always trying to learn something new everyday. Some things I like to do are taking photographs and watching movies. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My two favorite things are candy and hugs. I am very excited to be here at The Goddard School located in Hillsboro OR.
Ms. Brianna Hello, my name is Brianna. I have been working with children for some time now and am pursuing a double major in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. I am very excited to be a part of the Goddard School located in Hillsboro OR. Outside of The Goddard School I like to spend time with my friends and siblings, but wherever I go you can almost always find me with my puppy.
Ms. Christy Ms. Christy is very excited to be a part of the wonderful team at the Goddard School. She has taught in early childhood education for many years now, and loves it! She is taking courses annually to expand her knowledge and training. She looks forward to caring for your children and getting to know all the families here at the Goddard School.
Ms. Kaley Ms. Kaley grew up as a child of two teachers with an extended family of educators, so she developed an interest in education and a passion for helping others learn. She attended Oregon State University where she graduated with a degree in public health. At OSU, she volunteered in various school settings including a childcare and learning facility for underprivileged children and for student parents. She is so excited to meet all of the amazing children and families here at the Goddard School.
Ms. Jenae Ms. Jenae has worked in childcare for many years and has loved every minute of it. She originally attended college for music performance, but now she intends to pursue a degree in child psychology. She looks forward to meeting many new faces at The Goddard School.
