"Thirty years ago, my uncle raised a child who emigrated from China. Eventually, the young man returned to china and took over his father's business. My uncle's company still works closely with this company. Fast forward to two years ago... My cousin is in The Goddard School where he is learning Mandarin. He developed quite an interest in Mandarin and continued to learn more through the kid's show Ni Hao Kia-Lan. My cousin contacted the Chinese company and asked them for some help on a project about China. Several employees took pictures of various locations and sent them to my cousin. He was so appreciative that he sent a thank you video (in Mandarin)! The owner of the company (the teenager from thirty years ago) was so impressed that he called my uncle and said "If your son is interested, when he is eighteen, I will sponser him in China for a year."
