Steve P. is the Owner. - I am the Owner and Business Manager. I have been at The Goddard School® since it opened in 2001. I am also the proud father of two children, a son and daughter, both of whom attended The Goddard School®. I moved to Indiana in March of 2001 from San Jose, California, where I owned a business for five years. I made this move for the benefit of my children and to open The Goddard School®. I chose The Goddard School® to provide a safe, stimulating and happy environment where all children, including my own, can reach their fullest potential.
Tracy H. is the Director. - I have been at The Goddard School® since July of 2004. I have my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Indiana University and my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Indiana Wesleyan. I have worked in the field of Early Childhood Education for 15 years. I have taught toddlers, preschoolers, Pre-K and Kindergarten. Before starting at Goddard, I was the Director of a small private school for four years, then an Education Specialist for another center.
I love The Goddard School's philosophy of learning through play. My favorite part of being the Director is watching all the children "work" in the different learning centers. The many hugs I get every day are a great perk too!
Ciara H. is the Assistant Director. - I have an Elementary Education degree from Indiana University. I have been at Goddard since January of 2003. I began as the Assistant Teacher in the three year old classroom, and then became the Lead Teacher. I worked as a Lead Teacher in each of the Preschool classrooms, before moving into an administrative position in July 2005. I love my job! I am very fortunate to spend my day around children watching them develop and grow. Each of my days at Goddard is exciting and full of laughter and smiles. I cannot think of a more rewarding way to spend my time.
Ann B. is the Lead Teacher in the Whispering Waves Classroom. I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University Southeast and have taken many courses in Early Childhood Education at Ivy Tech. I have been working with children professionally since 1999, and I have been at The Goddard School since January of 2012. I cannot imagine a more rewarding career. I really enjoy working with infants and seeing how fast the children learn and grow in my care.
Stephanie K. is the Assistant Teacher in the Whispering Waves classroom. - I have worked with children since 1995. I have worked at Goddard since 2004 teaching in the Infant classroom. I live in the area with my husband. I have three children. I have enjoyed spending time working with the infants. I love spending time with every child, and building a special bond with them for years to come.
Emily P. is the Assistant Teacher in the Whispering Waves Classroom. I have worked with children since I was very young. I have had training in both the preschool and elementary levels. I started at Goddard in January of 2011. I love working here! All of the children and teachers are very welcoming and full of life. It is a wonderful place to be a part of every day.
Christy L. is the Lead Teacher in the Scampering Seals Classroom. - I earned my Elementary Education degree from IUPUI. I am a mentor teacher at The Goddard School® located in Greenwood. I have worked at The Goddard School® since October of 2003. I have experience working with every age group in the building. I love working with young children. The world is so bright and amazing through their eyes! Everyday they find something new and amazing that they are excited about!
Barbara H. is the Assistant Teacher in the Scampering Seals Classroom. I have more than 20 years' experience in childcare settings! I have worked with the Goddard family since 2006. I love being around children and working for Goddard. I love working with all children, but for some reason, the one-year-olds hold a special place in my heart. I love when they learn they can do something new and their faces light up with excitement. Every day I am greeted with hugs and smiles when they see me, whether it's been five minutes or a whole day. I just love how my days are filled when children are a part of them.
Sarah C. is the Lead Teacher in the Dancing Dolphins classroom. I am currently pursuing my Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education. I have been caring for children since I was fifteen. I have worked with all the age groups at Goddard since starting in October of 2010. I love working with children. My career is so rewarding. I love to see a child's face light up as they catch onto a new concept, or master a new skill. Every day at The Goddard School is so rewarding and full of smiles and laughter.
Tracy W. is the Assistant Teacher in the Dancing Dolphins Classroom. I am excited to have joined the wonderful Goddard family in January of 2011. Over the years, I have volunteered in local school corporations. Through one of my own children, I have also gained invaluable experience and knowledge of working with children with special needs. This is one of the reasons I love the Goddard School's philosophy of learning through play and realize many children have their own unique way of learning. I have seen the success of this approach first hand through the many children that have touched my life over the years. I am eager to begin the CDA program and plan on pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education. It is rewarding for me, knowing that I am helping to make a difference in the lives of your children.
Dana F. is the Lead Teacher in the Toddling Turtles Classroom. - I have been at the Goddard School since September of 2009. I have worked with young children for the past five years teaching dance. I love working with young children and watching as they grow and reach developmental milestones. I plan on working toward my CDA in the very near future and look forward to my time at Goddard with the children.
Leslie K. is a floater in the Toddler classrooms. - I have worked in childcare for five years. I am currently studying Early Childhood Education at Ivy Tech. I will be obtaining my Associate's degree in May of 2012! I love the philosophy of learning through play. I also enjoy watching each child develop as they grow.
Jennifer H. is a Co-Lead Teacher in the Soaring Seagulls Classroom. - I have an Associate's degree from Vincennes University. I have been with the Goddard family since December of 2005. I started with The Goddard School located in Fishers and was there for two and a half years. I have been at The Goddard School located in Greenwood since August of 2007. I have been working with young children for eleven years. I feel very fortunate to work with your children on a daily basis. I enjoy watching them learn and grow, and could not think of a more fulfilling way to spend my day.
Gina R. is the Assistant Teacher in the Soaring Seagulls Classroom. I have been teaching at Goddard since April of 2010. I have had years of previous childcare experience as well as being the mother of three children. I have my degree in Medical Assisting. I enjoy working with young children and love seeing them discover new ideas.
Anu M. is the Lead Teacher in the Rambling Reefs Classroom. - I have worked at The Goddard School® since 2005, including one year at a School in New Jersey. I love children and enjoy working with them. I have two children of my own. I am also a yoga instructor. I have completed four years of study in yoga philosophy. I love practicing yoga with the children.
Angie L. is the Lead Teacher in the Shining Starfish Classroom. - I have an Elementary Education degree from IUPUI and course work towards my Master's degree in Early Childhood Development. I have previously worked for The Goddard School located in West Carmel. Before that I worked as a resource teacher doing developmental therapy. My favorite part of this job is watching the children's eyes light up when they work hard to accomplish their goals. The hugs I get are a great perk as well!
Meagan C. is the Assistant Teacher in the Shining Starfish Classroom. I have experience working with children on a personal, professional, and educational level. I have started taking classes in Early Childhood Education and plan to receive my CDA and Associate's degree in the near future. I have worked at Goddard since January 2012, and I love teaching here! The Goddard School is a professional environment with many opportunities for the children to grow and develop. I plan to be a part of the Goddard family for a long time!
Marie P. is the Lead Teacher in the Octopus Odyssey Classroom. - It has been my joy to have taught at The Goddard School since October 2006. I obtained my CDA from Ivy Tech and would like to further my education in Early Childhood Education in the future. I absolutely love spending my days with these little ones! My favorite activities with the children are science, art projects and music. I believe childhood should be FUN! It is so rewarding to be a part of the children's day!
Amanda B. is the Assistant Teacher in the Octopus Odyssey classroom. - I have my Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education from Ivy Tech Community College and have been with Goddard since August 2011. I find working with children to be rewarding and cannot think of a better job I'd like to have. I look forward to watching the children continue to grow and learn.
Sara M. is the Lead Teacher in the Walloping Whales Classroom. - I have been in the Kindergarten room at Goddard since September of 2006. I worked previously in a special needs preschool for three to five year olds at Hamilton Southeastern Schools. After receiving an undergraduate degree in Human Resources, I realized my true love lies in teaching. I love watching children learn and grow! I try to find activities that will engage the children, which makes a fun and productive environment for everyone! I also strongly believe in the key role parents play in education. Working together, we can help children learn far more than we even thought possible.
Heather S. is the Assistant Teacher in the Walloping Whales Classroom. - I have been at Goddard since August of 2009. I am currently working toward my CDA at Ivy Tech. I plan to continue my education for an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Development. I love children and watching them grow from the beginning of the year until the end. Being around children every day makes my day brighter. I am very grateful that I am able to teach children.
