Our Staff -
The staff of Teachers and Assistants bring a wealth of experience and education, including college degrees and Child Development Associate degrees. The teachers plan fun and interesting activities to enhance learning through play. They write their own lesson plans to go along with our monthly themes, and they add their own personality and creativity to every activity to give your child the best education possible.

Miss Bethany - I am the Director at The Goddard School® located in Gilbertsville. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Ecology with a specialization in Early Childhood Development and Education from Ohio State University. I have worked in early childhood education since 2000. I believe that this time in a child's life has such an impact on the person they become; it is a crucial period and I truly enjoy being a part of each child's development.

Miss Janet - I am the Assistant Teacher in the Get Set classroom.  I have been in every classroom of our School during my nine years at Goddard, and I've loved watching the children develop from the baby room all the way through Kindergarten.  In everything we do, our children play to learn and have so much fun.  I believe that we prepare our children to do their best as they begin their education!

Miss Becky - I am the Lead Teacher in David's Dugout, our School's Get Set classroom.  I graduated from Upper Perkiomen High School, and I am currently attending Ashworth College in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education.  In my seven years here, I have loved being able to both play with and teach your child on a daily basis! I am excited to be a part of this extremely important part of your child's life as they develop necessary skills to become a successful learner.

Miss Chrissy - I am the Lead Teacher in Mulberry's Meadow, our School's First Steps classroom. I graduated from Salem Christian School and joined the Gilbertsville Goddard team in 2007.  I have worked in several classrooms in my time here, and believe that if children can have fun in the classroom while learning, it can truly make their day a success! I In my class, I enjoy my time with each child by reading, completing art projects, sharing in lunch time and, of course, running through the sprinkler! I appreciate the opportunity to influence and share in each child's unique development as they develop into life-long learners!

Miss Ellen - I have worked at our School since it opened in 2001, and in that time I have had the unique opportunity to be the Assistant Teacher in every classroom.  I am currently the Assistant Teacher of our Infant classroom, Pooh's Patch, and I have the pleasure of giving our children a wonderful start to their education.  I love working with children and strongly believe that the Goddard philosophy of learning through play builds a strong foundation for each child's future education.

Miss Heather - I began working at our School shortly after it opened in 2001 and have enjoyed working in all of the classrooms during my time here.  I am currently having a great time teaching in Pooh's Patch, our School's Infant classroom.  I love watching the children in my classroom grow and learn, and it is amazing to watch their personalities bloom! I am so honored to have the privilege of giving our youngest children the best start I can on their journey through our School and their education.

Miss Aliscia - Since joining the Goddard team a year ago, I have had the pleasure of being the Assistant Teacher in the Toddler room, Pigeon's Playground.  I have four years of experience with various age groups but I am particularly enjoying my time with the toddlers!  The Goddard School parallels my own educational philosophy  and allows children to learn and develop as they experience our hands-on curriculum!

Miss Liz - I am the Lead Teacher in Pigeon's Playground, our School's Toddler room.  I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and am dual certified in Elementary and Early Childhood Education.  One of the things that drew me to Goddard is the awesome play-based curriculum.  I've always felt that hands-on, interactive learning is the best way to give children an authentic, lasting education.

Miss Sue - I am the Assistant Teacher in Alphabet Alley, our Preschool classroom.  I have over 12 years' experience working with children of all different ages, ranging from an in-home daycare to center-based care.   I love working at Goddard because I too believe that children learn best through hands-on activities and play, and I love having the opportunity to watch the children in my room learn and grow into amazing individuals!

Miss Meghan- I am the Assistant Teacher in the Pre-Kindergarten room, Horton's Hideaway.  I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Millersville University.  I have a passion for teaching and I look forward to working with your children and watching them grow.  My other passion is science and I hope to share this passion with the children in our classroom.  I believe that every day presents a new discovery and an opportunity to learn, especially for young children.

Miss Jamie I am the Lead Pre-Kindergarten Teacher.  I graduated from Kutztown University in 2007 with my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I have experience over the last four years being a substitute teacher and working in a preschool setting. I enjoy working with children and helping them developmentally throughout their placement in my classroom.

Miss Christy I am an assistant teacher at The Goddard School located in Gilbertsville.  I spend time with each of the age groups and help Miss Bethany as well!  I have a Bachelor's degree in Communications from West Chester University and will complete my Master's degree in Elementary Education at Cabrini in 2012. I have served as a volunteer for several non-profits that work with at-risk children.  I served as a mentor and also taught these children how to read. As an avid horseback rider I have also had the pleasure of teaching children with disabilities how to horseback ride. I teach through inquiry-based learning as I believe that encouraging children to ask questions and learn through hands-on experiences is the best way to build a solid foundation for future learning.

Miss Pam I am the Assistant Teacher in the Toddler classroom.  I have my Associate's degree in Elementary Education and have experience working in a school setting.  Being able to assist in the learning process of any child has always been very rewarding to me! I enjoy working with children and believe that there is a bright future for everyone!

Miss Jennie - My name is Jennie and I am the Lead Teacher in the Preschool classroom!  I have my Bachelor's degree from West Chester University in Sociology.  I have always loved working with children and have been doing so for over 15 years. The past 9 years I have worked with children who are autistic or developmentally delayed. I am excited to return to early childhood where I began my experience and continue to be a positive role model for the children as well as the faculty of The Goddard School.

Miss Traci
My name is Miss Traci and I joined The Goddard School in March of 2012 as the Lead Teacher of Frederick's Flat, the Kindergarten Enrichment Program.  I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Kutztown University in 2009.  Since that time I have been working with children in preschool classrooms as well as substituting with various school districts.  I believe that a teacher must embrace the differences of each child and make education accessible and desirable to all the children in their program!  I believe that my classroom is a safe, comfortable place that encourages exploration and learning!
