Here is what you can expect in our individual programs:
Infants:
Imagine a program where Sally can blossom from an infant all the way up to a Pre-Kindergartener. From the moment she starts our program, a portfolio is created. It will capture those priceless moments to ensure that even while you can’t be with her, you are. Her photos of you and your family will be on the walls so that she can see you even when you are not there. Her routine is followed and your wishes are respected. You will provide Sally’s schedule and we will follow it. The nursery is created with Sally in mind. Sally will create one of her first art projects and a smaller classroom allows for her to have more individualized attention. Sally will learn American Sign Language to better communicate with you, her parents. She will also learn Yoga to help her calm her body while strengthening her gross motor skills. Our nursery is catered to meet Sally’s needs and your requests.
First Steps (12 to 18 months):
Sally will continue to blossom and learn to communicate even more through American Sign Language. She will start to use her words as well and will start to communicate more clearly. Her socialization skills will continue to improve and she will learn how to share and clean up. Her first steps will become more confident and now she will become a confident walker. Sally will now have a circle time every day where she will start to learn her colors, shapes and numbers. Sally will also be introduced to Spanish all while still being in a smaller classroom with a smaller ratio. Sally will still be nurtured and get all of the individual attention she craves and needs while getting a solid education.
Young Toddlers (19 to 24 months):
Sally is now becoming a confident young toddler. She walks confidently, speaks much clearer and shares with all of her friends. Sally will begin to recognize her colors and shapes. Her circle time is becoming longer and she is learning more about the days of the week and weather. Sally is now able to completely feed herself and her self-help skills are improving in great strides. She enjoys following her routines, but still enjoys learning through play. Her friends are growing with her and her portfolio showcases her talents. Sally is also able to communicate some in Spanish. She has made great strides as she becomes a young and confident toddler.
Older Toddlers (24 to 30 months):
Sally is now ready to take the next step in becoming a toddler. She is ready for potty training! You can expect plenty of potty parties in this classroom. We will encourage Sally to use the potty and soon she won’t need any more diapers! Yeah Sally! Sally will also communicate even clearer; she will know all of her shapes, colors and numbers. She might even begin to recognize letters and numbers. Her Spanish will become even stronger. Her confidence, emotional demeanor, cognitive ability and physical abilities will begin to amaze you even more. Sally is on her way to becoming a preschooler.
Junior Preschool (30 to 36 months):
Sally is now fully potty trained! She wears big girl pants and is in Junior Preschool now. Her self-portraits are becoming more advanced. She has started pre-handwriting skills and in the next year will be able to write her own name! Her circle time has become even longer and she now is beginning to play with her friends and is no longer playing beside them. She will mimic her friends less and less and will begin to make her own choices. Sally is now becoming more and more independent and soon she will be a preschooler!
Preschool 1 (3 years to 3.5 years): Sally is now on the “big girl” side of our School. She is continuing to foster those lifelong friendships and becoming a good little citizen. She is now recognizing letters and beginning to write her name! She is using her words even more to express herself. Manners have become a part of her everyday language and they amaze all of your friends and family. She continues to grow socially, emotionally, physically and cognitively. Sally will also be introduced to our World Cultures program and begin to embrace different cultures. She will also be introduced to another science program that helps her make confident decisions and experience science even more.
Preschool 2 (3.5 years to 4 years): Sally can now confidently write her name and recognize many letters. She is also learning basic math. She can add and subtract and soon will be doing fractions. Sally is understanding cause and effect. She is able to keep rhythm and tempo and complete sequences by size. Sally is now able to retell a simple story and her vocabulary is over 2000 words! She is on her way to becoming a pre-kindergartener and in the next year she will be writing and reading simple sight words.
Pre-K 1 and Pre-K 2 (4 to 5 years): Sally is even more confident than before. You will work with the Owners, Educational Directors and Sally’s teachers to help you decide between Pre-K 1 and Pre-K 2. In both programs, Sally will begin to learn phonograms and soon she will be learning sight words. She is becoming even more prepared for Kindergarten and beyond. She will be introduced to Children’s Progress Academic Assessment, a fun, exclusive and innovative way for us to learn where her skills are. This assessment is done three times a year and allows us to continue to help Sally excel in areas and also help her continue to grow in other areas.
Pre-K 2 will introduce Sally to the Spalding Method for reading and writing. She will be taught by a Spalding-trained teacher and most children from this program will go to a traditional academy, a charter school or a private school. We are one of the only early learning centers in the area to offer this program. Sally will have an extra edge compared to her peers when she enters into a Spalding program for Kindergarten and that will boost her confidence even more.
