Director - Ms. Shelley - Ms. Shelley has worked in early childhood education since 2004. She is currently attending Georgia Perimeter College with a major in education. Ms. Shelley is an amazing asset to our team. She assists teachers with classroom duties and is an integral part of our office leadership. Ms. Shelley can also be found on the softball field as she coaches young children. With her ever-present smile, Ms. Shelley brightens our day!
Assistant Director - Ms Ana Ms. Ana comes to our School with over 5 years of experience in childcare. She has two beautiful children of her own and loves to spend time with them. She has been an Assistant Director for the last 4 years at another school. Her number one goal is to provide a safe and loving environment and a top of the line education to all the children in our Goddard School.
Discoverers (Infants) Lead teacher - Ms. Janet Ms. Janet brings her talent of multi-tasking with loving care to our Infant Classroom. Our “Infant Room Diva,” as we call her, is an infinite wealth of knowledge to parents of infants. As the parent of four children and three grandchildren she has experienced the same issues and worries that all infant parents go through. With over 25 years of experience teaching young children, Ms. Janet has perfected the balance of day-to-day tasks and exceptional education. Ms. Janet helps the infants explore sensory development with fun, creative art projects and encourages language development through the Time to Sign® enrichment program. But, most of all, Ms. Janet creates a loving, calm classroom where infants feel free to explore and learn.
Discoverers (Infants) Assistant Teacher - Ms. Trishia As she works toward her college degree, Ms. Trishia works with our precious infants in our School. You can't miss her bubbly personality and energetic spirit! Ms. Trishia has an extensive background in dance, music and fine arts with the hopes to share that with her beautiful infants.
Pathfinders (Toddling to Two) Lead Teacher - Ms. Janice
Ms. Janice is our teacher in our First Steps room. She has a unique passion for knowledge and a strong commitment to both teaching and learning. She graduated from Columbus State University in Georgia with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education and is certified to teach Pre-K through Fifth. She attended a Math, Science, and Technology Institute in 2002, and participated as an elementary group leader for Touching Taliaferro with Love in 2003. In her free time, Ms. Janice enjoys reading, writing poetry and swimming.
Pathfinders (Toddling to Two) - Ms. Shauna - Ms. Shauna is a dedicated educator currently pursuing her degree at Gwinnett Tech. You can tell that Ms. Shauna has a natural gift for working with children as you can clearly see the tremendous excitement she shows with the introduction of every new activity! You may find Ms. Shauna playing sports on the playground, or giggling with the children during story time, and when it comes to giving extraordinary care, Ms. Shauna is the best!
Pathfinders (Toddling to Two) Assistant Teacher - Ms. Anna - Ms. Anna has been working with us for a couple of months all the while showing us how much she enjoys working with the children on a daily basis. She gives them a lot of love, attention and care. She is currently studying Early Childhood Education and will receive her bachelors in 2013. She loves working with children of all ages, but especially the toddler-age.
Navigators (Toddlers) Lead Teacher - Ms. Krystle Ms. Krystle is well versed in the ways of First Steppers development and milestones. She uses her parent experience to patiently guide the children through this major stage of growth with a major in Psychology. Ms. Krystle is overflowing with patience and love for this group of busy bees. She brings over four years of experience in teaching young children. Ms. Krystle teaches the Navigators sign language through Time to Sign and helps the children build their vocabulary with her energetic story time. The Navigators always have a great time when Ms. Krystle is around.
Trailblazers/ Curriculum Coordinator (Preschool Prep) - Ms. Tara - Ms. Tara is an amazing source of knowledge for not only our parents, but, as a Head Teacher, she also shares her over 19 years of experience with our teaching staff. Ms. Tara teaches our children the next level of social skills through the Manners Matter enrichment program. Our Get Set classroom is full of language development as Ms. Tara teaches vocabulary lessons in both English and Spanish. Ms. Tara attended Lanier Technical College where she studied Early Childhood Development. Ms. Tara is also mom to a wonderful young man, who is often seen helping out at various School events. Ms. Tara runs an amazing classroom with creativity and flair!
Aviators (Preschool) Lead Teacher -Ms. Angela Ms. Angela is married and a mother of three beautiful children. She has been teaching for 21 years. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English from Florida Atlantic University and she received her Master of Arts in Education from Argosy University. She presently is pursuing a doctoral degree from Walden University and will receive her Ph.D in Early Childhood Education in 2013. Ms. Angela believes that learning should be fun and exciting and that education should be inviting along with the classroom settings and materials. Ms. Angela also believes that teachers and students should work together in the classroom as decision makers with the educator making the better choice if necessary.
Assistant Teacher (Aviators) - Ms. Perla - Ms. Perla began working with children in 2001 and continues to have creative vision that she shares in all areas of the school. Ms. Perla is fluent in English and Spanish. Ms. Perla shares her gift of bilingual speaking through the school as she teaches the students vocabulary and songs in Spanish. She also holds a Spanish story time that introduces the words and customs of Spanish-speaking countries. Ms. Perla attended Gainesville State College, where she majored in Early Childhood Education.
Explorers (Private Pre-Kindergarten) - Ms. Jamie - Incredible science experiments, fabulous creative art projects, advanced reading and mathematics are commonplace in Ms. Jamie’s incredible Pre-Kindergarten classroom. She is mom to three children and is blessed with four grandchildren. Ms. Jamie has a gift for inspiring curiosity in young children while she instills a lifelong love of learning in each of our students. Ms. Jamie holds a degree in Early Childhood Development and freely shares her over 19 years of experience with the parents, children and our staff in her role as head teacher. Ms. Jamie’s classroom is constantly full of music and enthusiasm for learning because of her unique personality and teaching talent.
Ms. Eileen Ms. Eileen has four years of experience in teaching Pre-k, she has 15 years of experience Home Schooling and five years experience working with special needs children. She believes that every child should be loved .
Voyagers (After-school) - Ms. Virginia Ms.Virginia has a Bachelor's in Exercise Science ,and love incorporating that into
play-time with the kids.She have always enjoyed working with children,even when she was one.She always want to help a child learn whether that's by helping them with homework , exploring science projects,or using their imagination in arts and crafts. She is very excited about joining the Goddard team and being a part of this family.
Assistant Teacher Extraordinaire - Ms. Laura - Ms. Laura is sharing her incredible smile and bright personality. Ms Laura has been working with young children for over four years. She is always able to step into any classroom with ease and enthusiasm while assisting the teacher with curriculum activities. Ms Laura is an asset to any classroom she teaches in.
Nutritionist - Mr. Steve - Mr. Steve is a ServSafe-certified nutritionist who has a knack for making people smile with his positive demeanor or his unique sense of humor. As a dad of two growing, energetic boys, and holding a degree in fitness and nutrition, Mr. Steve knows to give our children the essential vitamins and minerals they need to maintain healthy brain development and proper physical growth. Mr. Steve has been serving up delicious food since 2004. Mr. Steve provides well-rounded, low-sugar meals that feed us heart and soul.
