Teacher Qualifications: - The most important quality we seek in selecting our teachers is a passion for children. Our minimum teacher requirements at The Goddard School located in Fanwood exceed New Jersey's state licensing standards. All of our Lead Teachers are required to have or to be pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Our Lead Teachers must have either a Bachelor's degree, Associate's degree, or Child Development Associate (CDA) credentials. Our School also requires our teachers to obtain certification in First Aid and CPR. Teachers are required to uphold Goddard’s high Quality Assurance standards as well as meet continuing education requirements that exceed state standards including 20 hours for Lead Teachers and 12 hours for Assistant Teachers, and have access to Goddard’s industry leading Goddard Systems University (GSU) training program. Our teachers must also complete a Goddard orientation after accepting an offer that is administered by our management staff and includes hands-on training. You can learn more about our individual teachers and their backgrounds by coming in for a visit and checking out our Teacher Bio Board!
