Faculty Bios

Edmond I, OK

Ms. Heather (Executive Director) Ms. Heather is the Executive Director at The Goddard School located in Edmond. She obtained a BS in Child Development from the University of Central Oklahoma. She has been a valuable part of our team since March 2005. Ms. Heather has eight years' experience working with young children.  "I love to watch children grow and be a part of their learning experience."

Ms. Jennifer (Assistant Director, Annex) Ms. Jennifer has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Central Oklahoma in Family and Child Development and minored in Early Childhood Education. She has over twelve years' experience working with children in a variety of settings which includes teaching preschool, pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and also as an assistant director. "I enjoy the love and laughter children provide. I enjoy seeing their faces light up when they discover something for the first time." Jennifer has been employed with us since August 2005.

Ms. Melissa (Assistant Director, Annex)- Ms. Melissa has been a part of our team since 2007. She has over ten years of experience working with young children and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Museum Studies from the University of Central Oklahoma. Melissa has served in the past as our Kindergarten assistant and led all the classroom special programs. "Teaching is a career I truly enjoy."

Ms. Jenny "Sas" (Assistant Director, Preschool) Ms Jenny has her degree from UCO in Sociology and minored in Chemical Dependency.  She was previously our Lead Teacher in the Toddler room, where she provided a stable, loving and nurturing environment for the development of our Toddlers. She is very active in her culture and plans to pass along her knowledge down to her children.

Ms. Angel - Ms. Angel is our Gourmet Cook as well as a Substitute Teacher at our School. She is a certified Food Service Operator and has an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Management Administration and another Associates Degree for Master Teacher. Angel has over 14 years of experience working in an Early Childhood setting and has been employed with us since November 2005. She serves many interesting and yummy meals that our children and teachers love! Please come by and meet Ms. Angel.

Ms. Carla - Carla is one of our teachers in Duck Pond, our toddler class. Carla has a Certified Child Development Associate. Her experience with children includes being an Assistant Director in child care, teaching preschool, and teaching school-aged children. Carla is very active in her church and loves spending time with her family. "My favorite thing about working with children is the sparkle in their eyes when they learn and discover new things!"

Ms. Kelsey - Ms. Kelsey is our Teacher in our Rainforest classroom in the Annex. She is from Pasadena, Texas. She graduated from Oklahoma Christian University with a degree in Family Studies and Child Development. Ms. Kelsey has worked in childcare centers for the past several years, and has been involved with children ranging in ages from newborn through high school.

Ms. Marie - Ms. Marie is our Lead Teacher in the Deep Sea classroom in the Annex. Marie has an Associate's degree in Family Studies and Child Development from Redlands Community College and a Bachelor's degree in Photographic Arts from UCO. She has been teaching since 1999 in a variety of early childhood facilities, and is our Preschool teacher in the China Town room. Marie is great with our four-year-olds and enjoys the different personalities children bring. "Each child is unique!"

Ms. Natalie - Ms. Natalie is the Lead Teacher in our Before- and After-School Program. She has a Bachelors of Science degree from UCO in General Studies with an emphasis on Child Development. She has many years' experience working with a variety of ages and as a director. She says, "Children make me laugh and always keep me on my toes. I just love it!"

Ms. Melodie -
Ms. Melodie is an Assistant Teacher in our Bear Cave classroom. She has a Child Development Associate from Francis Tuttle. Ms. Melodie has taught children for her church programs and has extensive experience babysitting. "I love seeing how children progress in different areas of their lives. I enjoy watching them interact with each other and grow on a daily basis."

Ms. Meghan -
Ms. Meghan is our Lead Teacher in the Bug's Life classroom in our Preschool. Ms. Meghan has a Bachelor's degree in General Studies from Kansas University.  She has two practicums through Kansas University and has worked as a research assistant for the Child Development Center at Kansas University.  "I love that no matter how hard a day you are having, you know that a child can just make you smile."

Ms. Devon -
Ms. Devon is our Assistant Teacher in the Bunny Hutch Classroom in the Preschool.  She is currently a student at the University of Central Oklahoma where she is majoring in Community Health and minoring in Business.  She has worked with children for over three years at other childcare facilities. "I really enjoy watching children grow and learn, and cherish the opportunity to make an impact on a child's life.  Being a part of that is very fulfilling."

Mr. Jeremy - Mr. Jeremy is a School-age Teacher at The Goddard School. He has a Bachelor's degree in social science from Ashford University in Arizona. He has worked with children for 11 years in a variety of settings which included being a school-age teacher for a center in Arizona for a few years. Mr. Jeremy enjoys the chance to teach new things to children and having an impact on their lives.

Ms. Gloria - Ms. Gloria is the Assistant Teacher in the Deep Sea (Preschool) classroom and has also been teaching our Spanish Enrichment program. Ms. Gloria has taken college classes at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond.  She was born in Bogota Colombia and is the oldest of 7 children. She has two years of experience working with children at a preschool where she taught Spanish. The thing Ms. Gloria enjoys most about working with children is that every day is a new adventure.
