Employee of the Month: Mr. Rob
Mr. Rob has done a wonderful job at transporting all of our school-age students to and from school all year and for that we would like to thank him by making him our Employee Of The Month! Wonderful job, Mr. Rob. Keep up the good work!
Miss Susan - Director - Miss Susan is our Director. She came to The Goddard School to pursue her passion in teaching and leadership. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Ohio University. Before joining our team, Miss Susan worked in business management for ten years. During this time she won a national award for coaching and leadership. Miss Susan is very caring and understanding and loves spending time in the classroom making sure every child is having fun at our school. She has two young children who attend school here. Miss Susan enjoys knowing her kids are able to learn American Sign Language, French and Spanish as well as participate in all of the amazing art and cognitive skills activities. We are very lucky to have Miss Susan on our team!
Miss Gail - Infant (Stork Street) - Miss Gail is the Lead Teacher in our Stork Street classroom. She has been with us since March of 2006. Miss Gail’s background includes experience caring for children of all ages. Miss Gail is a teacher who gives her heart to all of our infants and with that she gains their love and trust. She enjoys doing art projects and letting them explore different textures during science. Miss Gail is a very important part of our team and we are very lucky to have her here.
Miss Cathy - Infant (Stork Street) - Miss Cathy is an Assistant Teacher in our Stork Street classroom. She has been with us since August of 2002. She came to The Goddard School with previous experience working with children in Boardman, Ohio. Miss Cathy enjoys sitting with the children and reading stories and going over every page introducing them to new sights and sounds. She also enjoys taking our older infants outside for some fun in the sun. She loves working with the little ones and watching them grow.
Miss Nelly - Infant (Stork Street) - Miss Nelly is an Assistant Teacher in our Stork Street classroom. She has worked with our school since August of 2007. Miss Nelly is very compassionate and attentive to the children's wants and needs and is always there when they need her. Her favorite children's book is The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle which she loves to read to the children! Miss Nelly absolutely loves working with our babies and wouldn't have it any other way!
Miss Amy- Infant (Stork Street) -
Miss Amy is an Assistant Teacher in the Stork Street classroom. She has been with our school since January 2012 but has worked in a childcare setting since June 2011. Miss Amy really enjoys building our infant's language skills while reading books and talking with them. She also enjoys building their sensory stimulation by introducing them to new toys and textures.
Miss Mesude - Infant (Stork Street) - Miss Mesude is an Infant Assistant. Miss Mesude LOVES the babies! She is originally from Turkey and has a degree in Biology. She previously taught Biology to grades 6-12. Miss Mesude is very caring and nurturing with our little ones and makes sure every child has exactly what they need when they need it. She also enjoys singing to the children and taking them outside for fresh air and new experiences. Miss Mesude has three children of her own and really enjoys spending time with them. We love having her as part of our team!
Miss Tiffany H. - First Steps (Lullaby Lane)-
Miss Tiffany is the Lead Teacher in our First Steps classroom. She comes to us from another Goddard School where she was the First Steps lead teacher for four years. She has been with our school since January 2011. Miss Tiffany has an Early Childhood Education degree from The University of Akron. She is a fantastic teacher that enjoys building her children's self-help skills while promoting kindness and compassion through play. She enjoys singing with the children and is always willing to go above and beyond to make sure all her children have exactly what they need to have a fun and exciting day at school. We are so excited to have her as part of our team!
Miss Ingrid - First Steps (Lullaby Lane)-
Miss Ingrid is the Assistant Teacher in the Lullaby Lane classroom. She has been with our Turtles since February 2011. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Portugal. Miss Ingrid always has a smile on her face when she enters the First Steps classroom and loves to come and play everyday! She is very compassionate about her job and helping our little ones grow and develop. Miss Ingrid also has an amazing attention to detail and is always there to lend a hand to help better the classroom and our school!
Miss Kristin - Toddler (Discovery Drive)- Miss Kristin comes to us as a Co-Lead Teacher in our Discovery Drive classroom. She has been with us since May 2011 and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech and Hearing Science from The Ohio State University. Miss Kristin is also fluent in American Sign Language and enjoys showing the children news signs everyday! She has a great interest in developing their language skills and using her degree to the fullest potential. This can be seen in a lot of the fun activities she incorporates in her lesson plans. We are very proud to have her on our team!
Miss Heather- Toddler (Discovery Drive)-
Miss Heather is the Assistant Teacher working on becoming a Co-Lead in the Discover Drive classroom. She is currently attending school for her degree in Early Childhood Education and has been working at Goddard since September 2011. Miss Heather enjoys developing fun and exciting ways to get the students to build their self-help skills.
Miss Katie- Get Set (Explorer Expressway)-
Miss Katie is the Lead Teacher in the Explorer Expressway classroom and comes to us with seven years of childcare experience. she has been working here since June 2011. She has a Bachelor Degree in Health and Physical Education from Kent State University. Miss Katie likes to develop the students' gross motor abilities by teaching them amazing new games that allow them to get up and get moving. Miss Katie provides consistency when it comes to potty training and is a wonderful asset to this classroom. In her free time Miss Katie coaches volleyball and enjoys spending time with her husband.
Miss Rachel - Get Set (Explorer Expressway) -
Miss Rachel is the Assistant Teacher in the Explorer Expressway classroom. She is currently working on her Early Childhood Education degree and has been with us since November 2011. She enjoys helping her students grow socially and emotionally through group interactions and fun games. She also works very hard to develop their confidence while potty training. When she is not teaching she enjoys playing all types of sports and reading books.
Miss Lauren - Preschool (Building Block Boulevard)- Miss Lauren is the Lead Teacher in our Building Block Boulevard classroom. She comes to us with eleven years of childcare experience. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Bowling Green State University. She has had specialized course work in Special Education and Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education. Miss Lauren enjoys hands on activities and exposing our preschool students to new textures and ways of learning new things. She has a great attention to detail and is always there to provide the children with exactly what they need, when they need it in a fun and exciting manner. Miss Lauren is great at creating games that get her students to learn the goals for the day without them becoming stressed or overwhelmed. Miss Lauren has been with us since May 2011 and we are so excited to have her at our school!
Miss Jennifer - Preschool (Building Block Boulevard)- Miss Jennifer is the Assistant Teacher in our Building Block Boulevard classroom. She has been with our school since January 2011. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Wright State University. Her experience reflects working with the youth in Dayton's inner city school district. Miss Jennifer has a ton of fun helping the preschoolers get ready for writing and enjoys playing fun games with them to teach them math and cognitive development skills.
Miss Amanda H. - Pre-Kindergarten (Wonder Way) - Miss Amanda is a Co-Lead Teacher in the Wonder Way classroom. She started in September of 2008 and comes to us with a degree in Early Childhood Education from Muskingum University. Miss Amanda enjoys providing her children with fun games to promote learning and to get them ready to go off to Kindergarten. She spends a lot of one-on-one time building the Wonder Way students' fine motor abilities as well as their letter recognition skills to better prepare them to begin reading and writing. When she is not teaching our amazing Wonder Way children she enjoys spending time with her daughter!
Miss Tiffany C. - Pre-Kindergarten (Wonder Way)-
Miss Tiffany is a Co-Lead Teacher in the Wonder Way classroom. She has worked at our school since November of 2008. She has six years of experience in childcare and recently completed her CDA in Early Childhood Education. Miss Tiffany is an amazing teacher who enjoys creating fun and exciting ways to challenge the students through games and activities that encourage the students to take what they have learned to new heights!
Miss Jeanette - Kindergarten Enrichment (Kinder Crossing) - Miss Jeanette is the lead teacher in
our Kinder Crossing classroom. She has been with our school since March of 2005. Miss Jeanette has a degree in Early Childhood Education from Youngstown State University. She loves reading, music and theater and incorporates these interests into her lessons. She works very hard to further our Kindergarteners' understandings of the subjects they learn at school by providing homework help and teaching the subjects with a different approach than the schools may use. We are very lucky to have her here with us!
Mr. Rob - Transportation Director - Mr. Rob is our Transportation Director. He drives the van for our School-Age students and has been with us since 2004. Mr. Rob has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from BGSU. He has a wonderful driving record and a great attention to detail that gets every student to and from school safe and on time!
