Welcome! - The Goddard School® located in Denver is extremely proud of its highly qualified, professional teachers. All of our teachers are full-time faculty members at our school. Each of our Lead Teachers has a four-year college degree and prior experience in a preschool setting. We would love for you to meet them!

Sloan and Jarrett Armstrong - Sloan and Jarrett Armstrong are the Owners and On-Site Operators of The Goddard School located at 1400 South Emerson Street in Denver. The Armstrongs are both natives of Colorado and enjoy spending time with family and friends. Sloan earned a Bachelor's degree in Music from the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music while Jarrett earned a Bachelor's degree in Business from the University of Colorado in Boulder. The Armstrongs take great pride in the operation of the school and are pleased to be able to provide Goddard’s outstanding program to the children in the community.

Ms. Shannon - Ms. Shannon is our Director of Education. She is currently finishing her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Ms. Shannon is from Florida where she earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree from Florida State University and her Juris Doctor. She is also Infant Supervisor Qualified and Director Qualified. Ms. Shannon is excited to meet all of our new families in Denver. She is honored to be a part of your child’s first learning experience and she will make it one they will never forget.

Ms. Erin - Ms. Erin is the Assistant Director at The Goddard School. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business from Georgetown University where she majored in International Business and Marketing. Together with our Directors of Education, she oversees the School's daily operations as well as the communications with Goddard families and the greater Denver community. Ms. Erin loves working within The Goddard School family and getting to know all the parents and children who attend our school!

Ms. Tiffany - Ms. Tiffany is our Infant Nursery Supervisor in the Caring Koalas Infant Nursery. She joins us from Laramie, Wyoming where she attended Laramie County Community College to study early childhood education. Ms. Tiffany has worked as a Lead Teacher for the past two years and she also worked at a facility where she helped individuals with disabilities in their everyday activities. Ms. Tiffany is a hard-working teacher who loves to go above and beyond to help all of her students get in touch with their creative sides!

Ms. Alana - Ms. Alana is our Co-Lead Teacher in our Caring Koalas Infant Nursery. She attended the University of Oregon where she majored in communication disorders and sciences and minored in special education. Ms. Alana's gentle and caring personality makes her a natural with the young children whom she has taught for several years. She looks forward to meeting the families here at the Goddard School and making everyone feel welcome.

Ms. Nora - Ms. Nora is a Co-Lead Teacher in the Eager Elephants First Steps classroom. She graduated from the Stratford Career Institute and has been teaching children for many years, most recently at the Crestmoor Learning Center. She hopes to continue her education by achieving a Master’s degree in Elementary Education. In the meantime, she is excited to help impart the Goddard curriculum with the children at The Goddard School located in Denver!

Ms. Caitlin - Ms. Caitlin is the Co-Lead Teacher in the Magical Monkeys Young Toddlers classroom. She attended Central Maine Community College for child psychology and Colorado Mountain College for creative curriculum. Ms. Caitlin has taught children ranging in age from infants to pre-kindergartners for the last six years and has developed strong lesson planning and communication skills. Ms. Caitlin is a team player and her ability to creatively solve problems while remaining organized makes her essential for every classroom.

Ms. Leanne - Ms. Leanne is the Co-Lead Teacher in the Magical Monkeys Young Toddlers classroom. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in education from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Ms. Leanne taught young children in Michigan for two years before she moved to Denver. She has excellent classroom management skills and a strong sense of dedication and looks forward to helping her students feel empowered to learn.

Ms. Seini - Ms. Seini is the Co-Lead Teacher in the Fabulous Flying Frogs Young Toddler classroom. She attended Arapahoe Community College where she studied early childhood education. Ms. Seini began working in childcare in June 2008 and especially loves caring for infants and young toddlers. Her ability to be patient with children combined with her openness to communication with parents make her a great addition to The Goddard School.

Ms. Alyssa - Ms. Alyssa is the Co-Lead Teacher in the Fabulous Flying Frogs Toddlers classroom. She graduated from Colorado State University in December 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in applied human sciences with a focus on human development and family Studies. Ms. Alyssa has worked with children in a school setting since July 2009 and has strong classroom management skills and a great deal of experience implementing curriculum with her students. She is ready to help the children in her classroom discover the world around them!

Ms. Megan - Ms. Megan is the Co-Lead Teacher in the Playful Pandas Get Set classroom. She earned a bachelor's degree in education from Western Michigan University. Ms. Megan has acquired a great deal of experience creating lesson plans for different learning styles while she worked with infants and toddlers. Her patience and inventiveness is invaluable in our Toddler classroom.

Ms. Melissa - Ms. Melissa is the Co-Lead Teacher in the Playful Pandas Get Set classroom. She completed her bachelor's degree in human development from the Metropolitan State College of Denver and is currently working on her master's in instruction and curriculum education. Ms. Melissa has taught young children for several years and loves making the classroom activities interactive for her students. She is very excited for this great opportunity to grow as a professional educator.

Ms. Stephani - Ms. Stephani is the Co-Lead Teacher in the Generous Giraffes Preschool classroom. She attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she received a bachelor's degree of education and human sciences. Ms. Stephani has provided care for young children for several years which has given her the experience she needs to teach at The Goddard School. Her passion is helping children appreciate learning through creative ideas and a positive attitude.

Ms. Crystal - Ms. Crystal is the Co-Lead Teacher in the Generous Giraffes Preschool classroom. She received her Early Childhood Professional Competency Certificate from Warren Tech and went on to Red Rocks Community College where she completed a director's certificate in early childhood education. Ms. Crystal has worked with young children since 2006 and her work experience has helped her learn to create fun and interactive lesson plans. Her ability to be patient and understanding with young children makes her a strong teacher in the Get Set classroom.

Ms. Tanya - Ms. Tanya is the Co-Lead Teacher in the Jumping Jungle Cats Preschool classroom. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Adams State College and a Master of Education degree from the University of Phoenix. She began teaching in 2002 and also worked as the Assistant Director for a year for a before- and after-school program. Ms. Tanya’s teaching and directorial experiences have strengthened her organization and communication skills making her an especially strong communicator with parents.

Ms. Shannon - Ms. Shannon is the Co-Lead Teacher in the Jumping Jungle Cats Preschool classroom. She graduated from Regis University and also spent a year studying abroad at the National University of Ireland in Galway, Ireland. Ms. Shannon began working as a teaching assistant in 2006 and moved into a preschool teaching position in 2010. Her experience as well as her outgoing personality and strong interpersonal skills will make her a strong asset in every classroom.

Ms. Julie - Ms. Julie is the Co-Lead Teacher in the Happy Hippos Junior Kindergarten classroom. She attended the University of Nebraska in Omaha and received a bachelor's degree in elementary education and graduated magna cum laude. Ms. Julie has also received a endorsement for teaching children with mild and moderate disabilities. She has three children of her own and has also managed a childcare for many years. Ms. Julie is a team player and her ability to help organize activities makes her essential.

Ms. Amanda - Ms. Amanda is the Co-Lead Teacher in the Happy Hippos Junior Kindergarten classroom. She received a Bachelor's of Arts degree in interdisciplinary studies with an emphasis in elementary education from the University of Northern Colorado. Ms. Amanda has taught for more than five years with young children and will draw on her teaching experience with children as well as her strong work ethic to ensure each classroom runs smoothly. She is an enthusiastic new member of the staff and we look forward to welcoming her to The Goddard School team.

Ms. Yvonne - Ms. Yvonne is the Co-Lead Teacher in the Rocking Rhinos Junior Kindergarten classroom. Ms. Yvonne has significant teaching experience including her most recent experience teaching Preschool, Kindergarten and 1st Grade students at the Rye Oak Primary School in Peckham, England. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Johnson State College in Vermont. Ms. Yvonne is a dedicated, skillful and compassionate teacher with a commitment to creating lifelong learners of her students.

Mr. Tucker - Mr. Tucker is the Co-Lead Teacher in the Rocking Rhinos Junior Kindergarten classroom. He attended Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado where he received a degree in early childhood education and has worked with children for the past six years. Mr. Tucker enjoys interacting with the children in a creative, engaging environment and he also loves to sing on his guitar to promote music appreciation with the students. Mr. Tucker's goal is to help the children learn to their full potential.

Ms. Stacy - Ms. Stacy is a Resource Teacher who assists in every classroom at The Goddard School. She completed her Bachelor's degree from Michigan State University in Elementary Education in 2010 and is currently working towards her Master's degree in Curriculum. Ms. Stacy has experience teaching in a young toddler classroom where she began as the Assistant Teacher and moved into the Lead Teacher position in less than one year. Her upbeat personality combined with her strong behavioral management skills make her an asset to every classroom.

Ms. Peggy - Ms. Peggy is a Resource Teacher and can be found helping in throughout all of our classrooms. She attended Hong Kong Polytechnic University and then the Front Range Community College and has a degree in early childhood education. She has worked with children at various schools since 2004 and loves to encourage children to learn new things and never give up. Ms. Peggy's experience has made her a strong teacher with a diverse group of children and she looks forward to using these skills in the preschool environment.

Ms. Angela - Ms. Angela is the Resource Teacher in the Caring Koalas Infant nursery and Eager Elephants First Steps classroom. She graduated from the University of Wyoming and after her first experience nannying, Ms. Angela decided to move into the early childhood education field. She has worked with children in a preschool setting for several years and particularly loves inspiring her student’s artistic sides. Ms. Angela’s experience has made her a strong teacher with a diverse group of children and she looks forward to using these skills in the young childcare environment.

Mr. Chris - Mr. Chris is a Resource Teacher and will be helping in the Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten classrooms at The Goddard School. He currently attends Metro State College in Denver for a degree in early childhood education and has worked with children for the past four years. Mr. Chris enjoys helping the children learn through fun, engaging activities and his goal is to help the children reach their full potential.

Ms. Yesenia - Ms. Yesenia is a Resource Teacher who assists in all of the classrooms. She received a Teacher’s Degree in early childhood education from the Superior Pedagogical Institute “Diego Thomson” located in Peru in 1999. Ms. Yesenia has taught young children for several years and has also worked in a Spanish as a Second Language Program. Ms. Yesenia’s background in Spanish as well as her advanced leadership training makes her a strong asset to every classroom.

Ms. Carolyn - Ms. Carolyn is a Resource Teacher who helps the Lead Teachers in every classroom. She earned a Bachelor's of Arts degree from Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minnesota. She has been working as a Toddler and Preschool Teacher for several years and prior to that she was an au pair in Munich, Germany for three children. She is organized and has strong classroom management skills which make her an asset to all the classrooms.

Ms. Laura - Ms. Laura is a Resource Teacher and assists throughout our school. She earned a Bachelor's degree from DePaul University in Chicago where she was born and raised. She then worked as the Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility for a hedge fund which allowed her to begin working with a high-need/under-resourced elementary school for the past several years. Ms. Laura is known for her responsible attitude towards her job which is well-balanced with a fun-loving nature in the classroom. She looks forward to teaching young children as she works towards her Master’s degree in Elementary Education and Instruction.

Ms. Jill - Ms. Jill is a Resource Teacher who helps in every classroom throughout the school. She will receive a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Arizona State University and will then be moving to Denver permanently in December 2012. However, over the summer Ms. Jill will be working at The Goddard School in Denver and she will return after she completes her degree. Ms. Jill has worked with young children for many years and is particularly strong with disciplining children using positive reinforcement and redirection. She is very excited to be a part of the Goddard teaching family!

Ms. Lizhi - Ms. Lizhi is our Mandarin teacher in our Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten classrooms. She attended the University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Heilongjiang, China and began teaching Chinese in Denver in 2008. Ms. Lizhi also attended a training workshop for Chinese in Beijing, China in November 2010. She is excited to begin teaching elementary Mandarin to the Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten classrooms and looks forward to meeting the families here at The Goddard School!
