Faculty Bios

Concord Township, OH

Kristina Turk -
Kristina is the owner of The Goddard School® located in Concord Township. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Lake Erie College and a Master of Arts degree in Elementary Administration from Cleveland State University. She is currently a candidate for a Ph.D in Early Childhood Curriculum. She taught both Kindergarten and Second Grade for thirteen years with the Perry Public School District as well as WVIZ’s live interactive math series called ‘Equals.' She brings experience, education and training in curriculum, assessment, technology and staff development to The Goddard School.

Tracie Z. - Tracie has been Director at The Goddard School® since 2003. She was named Director of the Year for 2007. She came to us with over 15 years of early childhood experience both as a teacher and as an administrator. Tracie has her CDA and continues to take classes in early childhood education and administration. Although she enjoys all young children, Tracie has a special soft spot in her heart for the babies of The Goddard School®.

Leanne M. - Leanne is a Director at The Goddard School®. She began her career in early childhood education as a Goddard teacher in 2003. She has her Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education from Bob Jones University. Leanne enjoys getting to know the children and their families at The Goddard School®.

Heather G. - Heather joined the Goddard team in December 2005 as the Lead Teacher in the Toddler I classroom. She is currently the Lead Teacher in our Infant classroom. She has over nineteen years experience working with children as a Toddler Teacher, Preschool Teacher and an Assistant Director. Heather has an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education from Lakeland Community College. Heather's goal is to make The Goddard School® experience exciting and educational in a loving warm environment.

Robin F. - Robin is the Assistant in the Infant classroom. She is the eldest of three generations at The Goddard School®; her daughter is a Junior Kindergarten teacher and her granddaughter attends the School. Robin has worked with children for many years from PTA and room mother to scorekeeper and number one fan. Robin tells us she is excited to join the Goddard team and enjoys taking care of the babies.

Patty K. - Patty is the Teacher Assistant in the Infant I classroom. She has two grown daughters who she enjoyed raising. She has been a Sunday School Teacher, VBS teacher, room mother and childcare provider for many years. Patty enjoys working with children and providing a safe and caring environment.

Shalin K. - Shalin is a Lead Teacher in the Toddler classroom. She joined The Goddard School® team in March 2006. Shalin earned a Child Development Associate (CDA) degree in the fall of 2008. Shalin loves to watch children discover the world around them.

Barbara S. - Barb is the Teacher in the Toddler II room. She has taught toddlers for over 20 years through homecare, childcare facilities and Montessori schools. At the same time, Barb worked toward receiving her CDA in 2000. Barb is currently working toward an applied science degree in American Sign Language at Lakeland. Barb enjoys working with young children, knowing that every day the children will inspire her with their fresh minds and curiosity. Barb is very proud to be part of the Goddard team.

Leslie S. - Leslie has been with us since 2006 as an assistant in the Toddler room. She enjoys working with the children to help them gain their independence and sense of self.

Chrissy S. - Chrissy is a Lead Teacher in our Get Set classroom. She has been with us since 2004. Recently, Chrissy earned her CDA certificate and is now working toward an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education. She tells us that she enjoys watching the children imitate her as they are playing teacher in the Dramatic Play area.

Amanda S. - Amanda is a teacher in the Get Set classroom. She has been working with children for the past three years. She is excited to continue to take classes in Early Childhood Development working toward a CDA certificate. Amanda says that working with children is the best job in the world. She enjoys seeing the children discover something new each day.

Jennifer S. - Jennifer joined the Goddard team in 2008. She is the Preschool I teacher. Jennifer is a graduate of Lakeland Community College with an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education. She has over fifteen years of experience with children in local schools. Jennifer tells us her goal is to provide a safe and happy place to learn for each child.

Lisa H. - Lisa is a Lead Teacher in our Pre-K classroom. She has over fifteen years of experience in the early childhood field. Lisa obtained her Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education from Lakeland Community College and has her Pre-Kindergarten certificate for teaching. Lisa tells us "... being a preschool teacher is one of the most important careers I could possibly have. I am honored to know that you have entrusted me with so many little lives."

Corrie M. - Corrie recently joined the Goddard team as an assistant in the Pre-K classroom. She recently graduated from the University of Akron with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. Corrie believes teaching is the most rewarding job in the world. She enjoys watching the preschool children smile as they learn and explore the world around them.

Betsi G. - Betsi joined The Goddard School® after it opened in 2002. She is currently the Lead Teacher in the Pre-K classroom. She has an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education from Lakeland Community College. Her prior experience includes being a private nanny for a local family. Betsi tells us that she loves working with preschool children and that each day brings a new experience for both the children and herself.

Anna S. - Anna is a teacher in our Pre-K classroom. She is a graduate of Edinboro University and is currently working toward a Master's degree through Ashford University. Anna believes being a teacher is important as it prepares children for their future. She wants to provide a positive learning environment that allows each child the opportunity to learn in the classroom.

Heather R. - Heather is the Teacher in our Kindergarten Enrichment classroom. She attended Kent State University for two years and then chose to become a private nanny for six years. She completed an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Development at Lakeland Community College. Heather has worked at The Goddard School® since our grand opening in 2002 and enjoys every day that she walks into her classroom of bubbly, eager to learn children. Heather tells us she is proud to be a teacher and to share her experience with our School's community.

Heather B. - Heather teaches in our Kindergarten Enrichment classroom. She has an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education from Lakeland Community College. Heather believes children benefit most from a caring, loving, respectful environment where they are given direction and are free to make their own choices.

Robin W. - Robin is our Office Manager. She came to The Goddard School® after it opened in 2002 as a teacher. Robin has a BA degree from Bowling Green State University. She worked at another local school for over six years before working for us. Robin's administrative experience includes both retail management and roles in the legal field. She tells us her goal is to help both children and parents enjoy their experience at The Goddard School®.
