Faculty Bios

Clackamas, OR

Jon and Jennie Brawn, Owners - We have been part of our local community for many years. We are proud parents of two school aged girls. When we're not being typical soccer parents, we enjoy skiing and camping with our family. We are happy to provide Goddard's outstanding program to the children in the community. Thank you for being part of our School and we look forward to getting to know you and your children well.

Kathy, Director - I have twenty years experience in Early Childhood Education. I hold an Early Childhood Education Associates Degree and look forward to continuing my formal education to achieve a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education/Family Studies. I am committed to providing high quality child care and promoting the love of learning.

April B. - Assistant Director April has a Bachelor's degree in Human Development and studied Early Childhood Education early in her college career. She has worked in the early education field teaching and directing for over seven years. April loves this age group and is thrilled to be a part of the excellent program here at The Goddard School. She looks forward to meeting you!

Kelly S. - Infant Teacher Kelly has been working with children for over 18 years as a mommy, childcare provider and as a preschool teacher. She absolutely adores working with the infants here at The Goddard School.

Mikayla Q. - Infant Teacher Mikayla has recently graduated with an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Mt. Hood Community College. She loves working with the infants and toddlers here at The Goddard School.

Becca S.- First Steps Teacher Becca loves working with young children. She can’t imagine doing anything else for a living that is this much fun. She has two years experience working with children as a nanny. Her  favorite thing about working at The Goddard School is getting to be a part of each family’s life and getting to work besides such great teachers.

Felicia S. - First Steps Teacher Felicia loves working with young children and couldn't imagine doing anything else for a living. She has an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Clackamas Community College. She believes that caring for infants is not only rewarding, but very fun! She's happy to be a part of The Goddard School and looks forward to being a part of each family’s lives.

Wanda S. - First Steps Teacher I have been working with young children for over a year now and I love it. I have been going to school to complete my education in the field of early childhood education. I will be receiving my Child Development Associate very soon!

Anna M. - Toddler Teacher Anna graduated from Concordia University and is now working towards an additional certificate in Early Childhood Education. She has worked with children for over 20 years as a nanny, teacher and as a homeschooling mom. She is honored to work with the children and families at The Goddard school and hopes that each day she can bring a little sunshine into their lives.

Maleena B. - Toddler Teacher - Maleena has a Bachelor’s degree in social science from Portland State University, where she studied psychology and social science. From babysitting at age 13 through raising three of her own children, she has spent her life nurturing infants, children and young adults. Children look at the world with fresh eyes and she tries to mirror this approach in her own life. Maleena finds their learning and growth to be very rewarding and she appreciates the opportunity to share her enthusiasm with your children.

Cori S. - Toddler Teacher - Cori loves working with children, it brings a smile to her face. She has 20 college credits in early childhood education and plans on furthering her education in the future. For the past nine years she has worked as a nanny as well as a preschool teacher. She loves that she has the opportunity to teach them something every day.

Devin B. - Get Set Teacher Devin has been working in childcare for over three years now and loves it! Working with and just being around  children has been a passion of hers. She is going to school to further her education at Clackamas Community College. Devin is proud to be a part of the Goddard Team!

Amanda T. - Get Set Teacher Amanda is currently studying Early Childhood Education at Clackamas Community College. She's always enjoyed working with children and has wanted to teach for as long as she can remember.

Rachel H. - Get Set Teacher Rachel is originally from Eastern Oregon and has lived in the Portland area for a while now. She has an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education and has been working with young children for a little over two years now.

Beth O. - Preschool Teacher I have over 10 years experience working with young children. I have had my own in-home childcare and I have also worked as a preschool teacher in a military child development center. I enjoy working with young children and experiencing the world through their eyes. I have a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Management with a minor in Early Childhood Education.

Jeanette - Preschool Teacher Working with children has always been a career choice for Jeanette. Raising her two children is why she started an in-home childcare program. When they went off to school, Jeanette started teaching for a Head Start Program. Through her years of experience, she has worked with children six weeks to twelve years of age and has enjoyed every minute. She obtained her CDA, Director credential and is currently working towards a degree in Early Education. As a teacher, Jeanette is very excited to join a team that has such high goals and standards.

Ashley M. - Preschool Teacher Ashley is so excited to be working here at The Goddard School! She recently graduated from Portland State University with her Masters in Education.She also has a teaching license for Pre-Kindergarten – 8th Grade.

Jodi B. - Pre-K Teacher - I was born and raised in Vancouver, WA. In my free time I enjoy playing sports, working out and spending time with friends and family! I am in the process of continuing my education to become a teacher. I am so excited to be a part of the Goddard family and to learn something new every day!

Amy - Pre-K Teacher - Amy was raised by a school teacher and has been in a classroom setting all her life. She has a Bachelor's degree in Education and hope to continue to obtain my Master's in Elementary and Special Education. I have previously worked as an Elementary School Teacher and in an After-School Program. I am excited to be part of The Goddard School.

Nettie E. - Pre-K Teacher I moved to Oregon four years ago from Arcata, CA. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in ECE, with an emphasis is Child Psychology. I love working with children and I am aspiring to become a child psychologist.  I am very happy and proud to be a part of the wonderful team here.

MaryLou C. - Kindergarten Teacher I have recently finished my Master’s degree in Education from George Fox University. I also earned my Bachelor's degree from OSU (GO BEAVERS!!!). While in school I taught in preschool and kindergarten classes for my practicum—and I love this age group. I am happy to be a part of the team here at The Goddard School and look forward to being the kindergarten teacher here.

Kadi - Kindergarten Teacher - Kadi was born and raised in Vancouver, WA. After she graduated high school, she decided to spread her wings and ventured down to sunny San Diego, CA, where she studied early childhood education at Mesa College. After four wonderful years, she moved back home to “The Great Northwest.” Confucius said, “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” Kadi has been teaching preschool for the past eight years and has loved every second of it. In her spare time she enjoys swimming, reading, camping (seasonal of course), watching football and spending time with her family and friends. She is thrilled to be part of The Goddard School and looks forward to being a positive role model in the life of your child.

Trishia S. - Supporting Teacher Trishia thinks that working with children is so much fun! She has over three years' experience providing care to young children, especially for her three little nephews. Trishia is excited to be a part of The Goddard School and spending time with your children.

Leahanna H. - Supporting Teacher Working with children is so much fun! Leahanna has over four years experience working with children. She worked in elementary school classrooms and as a babysitter for several families. She is excited to be a part of The Goddard School and spend time with your children.

Morgan G. - Supporting Teacher I am currently a Clackamas High School student involved in their ‘teaching careers’ program. As a part of my classes at Clackamas High School, I take early childhood education classes at Sabin Skills Center. After high school I plan to pursue a degree in education.

Cassandra R.- Supporting Teacher I recently graduated from Milwaukie High School. While in high school I took classes at Sabin Skills Center and studied early childhood education. I have about a year of experience working with young children, and I love it!
