Nursery rhymes are historically poems for children. Although most are simple and fun, they do cover some great topics such as, love, patience, heroics, generosity, family, friendship, and trust. Some rhymes are accompanied with finger or whole hand movements. The children will have fun while exploring nursery rhymes.

Bring Vegetables To Paint With

Today the children will explore painting with a vegetable that they choose to bring in from their own house. Allowing children to make choices is critical to their cognitive development. When allowed to make appropriate choices, the children are doing more than just picking a vegetable, they are taking small steps toward practicing their independence. 

What's Your Favorite Vegetable

Today the children will enjoy a fun, social, pre-math learning experience, while exploring nutrition. They will tell their teacher and friends what their favorite vegetable is. Then using this information they will create a chart. Charting is just one of the many tools Goddard teachers use to explore mathematics with your children.

Bring In A Package Of Seeds

Spring Time is here. The birds are chirping and its time to plant some seeds. Today we are asking all the children to bring in a package of seeds for a special spring project. Things are getting ready to bloom at this exciting school in Lincoln Park.

Book Fair Starts Today!

A Book Fair is an in-school literacy event that puts books in the hands of children. This event will give the children and their families access to thousands of affordable and educational products, helping foster a lifelong love of reading.
