Ms. Anne, On-site Owner - Ms. Anne has a B.S. in Education from Old Dominion University and is on-site everyday to ensure the continued quality of the Award Winning program in addition to providing unparalleled customer service. Ms. Anne's son attended The Goddard School and is currently in public school.
Ms. Katie, Director - Ms. Katie has a B.S. Degree with a concentration in Early Childhood Education. Ms. Katie began her career at with The Goddard School when it opened in March 2005 as a Lead Teacher. She very quickly worked her way to Assistant Director, then Director because of her love for the children, commitment to customer service (for both our families and faculty) and her continued dedication to The Goddard School Philosophy and Quality Assurance. Ms. Katie's son recently graduated our Private Kindergarten program.
Ms. Lily, Co-Assistant Director - Ms. Lily has a CDA (Child Development Associate). She began her career at The Goddard School in 2005 as a Lead Teacher and through her commitment to the children and families at The Goddard School, along with her continued dedication to The Goddard School Philosophy and Quality Assurance, she has worked her way to Assistant Director. Ms. Lily's daughter in currently enrolled in our Private Kindergarten.
Ms. Eileen, Co-Assistant Director - Ms. Eileen has a B.S. from Old Dominion University. Ms. Eileen is among the few who helped to open The Goddard School in March 2005. Ms. Eileen started her career with us as a Lead Teacher. She is now Co-Assistant Director ensuring the Quality of our Educational programs and providing exceptional customer service to all of our families!
Infants - The teachers in our "Li'l Pigs" classroom bring 15 years of experience to The Goddard School. With degrees in Early Childhood Education, together the teachers provide a warm, loving and nurturing learning environment for all of our babies! Stop by and check them out finger painting with pudding and jello or putting out a "fire" of red and yellow jello with spray whipping cream! It's a mess...but so much fun!
Pre-Toddler - The Teachers in our "Moo Cows" and "Laughing Lambs" classrooms bring many years of experience in the Early Childhood Education field to The Goddard School. The teachers have a combination of Associates and Bachelor degrees are currently working Masters degrees! Together, the teachers provide a fun and loving learning environment! Take a peek in the classrooms and you'll find them signing "more", "please" or "milk", learning how to do the "down dog" yoga pose or counting puzzle pieces in English and Spanish!
Toddler- The teachers in our "Crazy Chicks" and "Darling Ducks" classes have degrees in Early Childhood Education and combined bring over 25 years of experience to The Goddard School. Together, the teachers provide a loving and challenging learning environment , while offering a balance of quiet activities like computer lab and creative art as well as music, blocks, dramatic play and plenty of time outside running and playing!
Pre School, Pre Kindergarten and Kindergarten - The teachers in our Preschool, Pre-K and Kindergarten classrooms have a combination of Bachelors, Associates and CDA's, while all others have taken multiple college-level classes in the field. Together they have a combination of nearly 70 years experience in Early Childhood Education!
While having degrees in ECE, our teachers are able to develop and implement lesson plans to meet the varying developmental levels and individual learning styles of the children in their class. Therefore affording the opportunity to take advantage of the learning opportunities that are presented throughout the entire day and challenging the children as developmentally appropriate. Children are learning how to have fun with math and science as well as valuable social skills through "The Goddard Guide to Getting Along" manners program.
Kindergarten - Our Kindergarten teachers have a combination of 25+ years of experience in both public and private schools. Together, our Kindergarten teachers promote cooperative play and collaborative problem solving while providing a fun and nurturing learning environment. The Lead teacher is a Reading Specialist and with our full day program and the low teacher to student ratio together, the teachers are able provide the individual attention necessary to prepare the children for First Grade.
All of our teachers and staff are First Aid and CPR Certified.
