The Goddard School is conscious of parents' desire for their children to be in a safe and educationally age appropriate environment. The Goddard School has accomplished this by focusing on the individual developmental readiness of each child to determine when they should move into the next classroom rather than age. Our highly qualified teachers write their own curriculum guided by the Goddard philosophy. This allows our teachers to customize their lesson plans to meet the individual needs of the children.

Please come in to tour our school and meet our teachers and experience the high quality of childcare and preschool education The Goddard School is famous for. Walk in tours are welcome. Please contact us to schedule a tour after normal operating hours if this will work better for your family.

The Goddard School is proud to post a "Testimonial" link with letters of referral and gratitude, from both current and past families, who share their experience with you. Please feel free to ask for family referrals during your tour of The Goddard School located in Chanhassen.

The Goddard School FLEX Learning Program, based on the latest research in how children learn and designed with the assistance of experts, provides the optimal environment for your child's development. The program's foundation is the learning continuum that encompasses developmental guidelines with formative assessments, child-focused lesson plans, a creative and fun environment and a personalized child-centered approach that meets your child's needs.

    Lesson Planning:
Areas of growth and development are highlighted on our daily lesson plans, which our faculty brings to life in appropriate and attainable ways. The Goddard Philosophy:
By creating an environment where teachers support the nurturing and learning your child needs, with hands-on owners taking a personal interest in your family's childcare decision, and where each child's natural curiosity and creativity is developed, The Goddard School is dedicated to providing the foundation to encourage your child's lifelong love of learning™. In order to accomplish these goals, The Goddard School will: Offer a wide-range of enriching activities to meet the needs of each child. Focus on building a strong and balanced foundation of emotional, social, cognitive and physical skills for each child. Offer multi-cultural and developmentally appropriate materials and equipment. Provide a safe and secure environment. Receive regular Quality Assurance audits and parent surveys. Receive continuing education for the on-going development of teachers and directors. Offer open communication with parents in an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect.

The healthy well being of the children in our care is the primary concern of The Goddard School teachers, owners and corporation. Goddard has developed a premier program to safeguard compliance with the standards of Goddard Quality Assurance (QA). Goddard QA Representatives make unannounced semi-annual visits to each school to assess compliance with a full range of Health and Safety Policies and Procedures, as well as Curriculum and Program performance. Although most states have a licensing agency that oversees state requirements, Goddard Schools are additionally obligated to fulfill the Goddard QA Review. The Goddard QA Review and its exceptionally stringent controls are setting the standard for quality in the childcare industry. The first years of your child's life are special because great developmental strides are made as your child moves toward independence. Progress is continually evident in your child's emotional growth, social skills, verbal communication, intellectual awareness and physical capability. The Goddard School program has been designed to nurture the full range of these developing skills and interests in a small group setting.

Our custom designed building with state of the art security systems has been planned to provide a safe, healthy and stimulating environment. Two separate age appropriate playgrounds have been designed to challenge and delight your child.

    Children's Progress Program (CPAA)
Children's Progress Academic Assessment (CPAA) is an early childhood assessment system for all our Pre-Kindergarten students. The CPAA program helps teachers focus classroom instruction to achieve the greatest learning gains for each child. CPAA is a formative assessment that helps guide achievement in the right direction. Administered on the computer, the level of difficulty of the assessment adapts to each student's performance, providing an opportunity to learn while using the program. CPAA software provides feedback about students progress, giving teachers an indication of which concepts students have mastered, where they may still be struggling and what type of activities can help reinforce that learning. This feedback allows teachers to immediately make adjustments in their instruction that help ensure maximum benefits for each student. CPAA covers early literacy and mathematics concepts that are essential to early childhood development. Please visit our front office for more information concerning your child's participation in the CPAA program.
