Dear Valaire and Fred,
It feels like I have written this letter in my mind over and over. The "good-bye" letter that is somehow supposed to sum up the last four years Luke has spent with you at The Goddard School. I have been trying to find the right words to express our gratitude..... but no words seem to express the magnitude of appreciation we have for you and your school and how grateful we are that The Goddard School is a part of our community.
For the past four years, you and your staff have welcomed us as if we are members of your own family. Each morning I am greeted with a cheerful and genuine smile, which radiates through the entire building. The children are treated like individuals and are always individually greeted by name and warmly welcomed. I have often told others that you treat all of the children with the love and gentleness as if they are your own.
When Luke started his journey with The Goddard School in 2006, he came to you as a toddler just learning to walk and not yet able to talk. As he leaves The Goddard School doors on Thursday, he is leaving not only prepared for Kindergarten, but also nourished with a foundation of goodness, kindness and love that your school has helped to foster. It is for these reasons, my simple "thank you" just does not seem to measure up, but I will give it a try.
Thank you for teaching Luke how to share, how to paint, how to make friends and how to express himself. Thank you for giving him the confidence to stand on stage during the Christmas pageant, for helping him learn how to read and write, for teaching him the days of the week and how to tell time. Thank you for making time for him to have fun, giggle, dance and play. Thank you for teaching him how to listen, how to take turns and that making mistakes is okay. Thank you for providing a safe place that I feel good and happy about bringing my children to each and every day, for providing opportunities to get to know the teachers and other parents.... and thank you for teaching all of us that sometimes good friends and teachers have to say good-bye.... just as Luke will say goodbye on Thursday.
Time passes so quickly....four years have flown by. I am so happy your journey led you to open The Goddard School. From the deepest place in my heart...Thank you.

Dear Fred and Valaire,
I want to let you know how much it has meant to have my daughter Teagan at your school. Teagan has been attending The Goddard School for almost five (5) years and I am so glad she has had such a great overall preschool experience at Goddard. The early years are so important in a child's life and development and I'm thankful she spent that time at your great school.
The Teachers contributed so much to all that made learning fun and a great experience for Teagan. We will always have great memories of The Goddard School including the family barbeques, riding the ponies, trips to the Chanhassen Library, the "whale of a treat" day and the great graduation night celebrating Teagan graduating from preschool well prepared for kindergarten.
In closing, the Goddard staff has always been the greatest and you both being at the school everyday has meant so much to us. From the hugs you would share with Teagan, to the time you took to meet my parents during a Goddard family get together, you guys are simply the best. You are a first class operation and I will continue to recommend anyone who I speak with to your school. We will continue to stop by and say hi from time to time and I'm sure Teagan will want to give you both a big hug! We can't thank you enough!

Dear Fred, Valaire, Diana, Bianca & Friends of The Goddard School,
This letter of thanks is a bittersweet one for our family. We are fortunate to have been part of the wonderful Goddard School education system since 2001. We are very grateful that our oldest child and now our youngest, received a foundation for successful learning, through this fantastic curriculum with it's various educational activities.
We appreciate all of the hard work and dedication that you and your staff have put into The Goddard School. As you grew from a new school and business, to a well-rounded educational facility, children have had the opportunity to have fun, express themselves and interact with other children and adults, while truly enjoying learning.
From her first day in the Lion's Den and the last day in the Soaring Eagles, Claire has grown into a smart, artistic and especially courteous little girl. Our family believes you and your teachers have instilled many positive qualities, which our children need to be prepared for when they go out into the world.
Every time we drive by The Goddard School, we will always remember all of the fun and interesting times we have experienced along with the friends we have made! The Goddard School and staff will always hold a dear spot in our hearts.

Sheri and I can't tell you enough how happy we are that we made the decision to send Ethan to The Goddard School. He has grown into such a smart little guy and we owe much of that to the curriculum and your staff at The Goddard School. We are excited to send him to Kindergarten, but sad to see him leave such a warm and inviting atmosphere that you have. You should feel proud of the center you've helped shape because it is a special place for nurturing our children. Childcare is never an easy decision, but The Goddard School is most certainly the best experience we have had in our eight (8) plus years of childcare.

I enrolled by daughter at Goddard after a nanny decided she no longer wanted to care for my child. I had to make a quick decision so I went right to work. I checked out a bunch of local daycare centers and found Goddard to be above and beyond the other centers.

The reason that I am writing this is because when I went to find childcare for my six month old, there were no reviews out there. I looked at all of the common centers and Montessori schools around the Shakopee and Chanhassen area and by far recommend Goddard. The staff is great, they love my daughter and I would suggest Goddard to any parents that have guilt about putting their child in a center. I did a ton of research and felt so comfortable about my decision. I know that my daughter has grown a lot and I feel that at Goddard she is not just another kid that they have to take care of! Hello. My name is Jessica and I am a parent of a child in the infant room at The Goddard School® located in Chanhassen, Minnesota. Morgan has been attending The Goddard School® since January 2006. The purpose for this letter is to recognize the outstanding Teachers at The Goddard School®.
From the moment we entered The Goddard School® we felt like family. When we visited the school during its final completion, we were pregnant with our first child and very scared of the thought of leaving our child in a strange place. Valaire was extremely understanding and sensitive to our feelings. She thoroughly answered all of our questions and assured us that Morgan was going to be in the right place. That was an understatement!
All of the teachers at The Goddard School® are exceptional, but there are a few that stand out. The Director, Talia, is the backbone of the school. She has an incredible ability to manage the school, as well as stay in tune to the needs of the teachers and the parents. Ms. Talia knows each and every child at The Goddard School® and continues to implement ways to enhance their time at school. Ms. Paula, Ms. Lindsey and Ms. Britney have also made a lasting impression on our life, as well as Morgan's. Ms. Britney is Morgan's teacher and she is very aware of our parenting style and brings that into the classroom with Morgan. She provides timely, detailed communication on Morgan's development and her daily activities.
Morgan has been attending The Goddard School® for five months now and absolutely loves it! Her pediatrician said that her development skills, including social, are that of a nine month old. I contribute a lot of that to the incredible teachers at The Goddard School®. Thank you for giving Valaire and Fred the opportunity to open The Goddard School® located in Chanhassen. We Will forever be grateful for the values that The Goddard School® is instilling in Morgan.

Dear Valaire and Fred,
It is with great pleasure that we write this letter for no other reason then to thank you and the staff of Goddard for the care that you provide our son Ian.
Prior to coming to The Goddard School®, we had Ian in another daycare center. Although it was a good infant solution, it became evident to us that it was not a good toddler solution. We had a number of issues and the director and teachers were not responsive to us. For that reason, we brought daycare into our home and had a nanny care for Ian one-on-one. Although we found a loving and caring person to be our daycare provider, it quickly became evident that we were not comfortable with having someone in our home and Ian was not getting the socialization that we believed he needed.
We started to call around to daycare centers with varied responses. One day late in August 2005, we received a wonderful call from the director of The Goddard School® who told us that the school was not opened yet, but that the owner would be happy to give us a tour at our convenience. This was the beginning of a beautiful relationship.
Valaire, you welcomed us into the center as if it were your home. You took great pride in showing us every room and welcomed us to touch and play with all of the toys, and ask any questions we wanted. You took personal interest in who we were as individuals and as a family. We walked out of the center ready to register Ian and start him as soon as possible. Because of a family trip, we did not start Ian until one month later. By this time the school was open and we had an opportunity to come to an “open house” where we met Ian’s then teacher and now director, Talia.
Talia’s love for the children was immediately evident. We knew that Ian was going to thrive in her class. Our expectations have not only been met, but far surpassed. We did not just find a daycare provider we found an extended family. We have been amazed that not only do Ian’s teachers know him, but also all of the staff does. And, we don’t just mean they know his name – they know him, his likes, his dislikes, his stage of development, and what he needs to excel to the next level.
As parents, we could not ask for more. The staff at The Goddard School®, including yourself and Fred, always take time to answer our questions, ask us how we are doing, offer an ear when we are struggling with a parenting concern and think we are the only parents experiencing it. We get wonderful encouragement, kind and constructive feedback, and much assurance that we are part of a community that understands and will be there for us as needed.
Thank you for providing an environment where our son loves to be, loves to learn, loves to play and cries when it is time to come home because he is having so much fun. What a great gift The Goddard School® is to us and to many other children and parents! Thank you for allowing us to be part of the family.

Dear Goddard Staff,
I write this letter on behalf of The Goddard School®. To share some of our favorite stories I had to stop and think for a moment…. Which stories should I share, there are so many.
As I contemplated my youngest daughter’s next childcare experience, her first in a preschool, I wanted to choose a place that offered loving staff, kind teachers, a beautiful environment and a great education program.
As it happened my choice didn't work out well and a month after enrolling Jilli I needed to make a change. Much to my delight the “Now Enrolling” sign went up on the new Goddard School® building. I made the call and we fell in love with everyone and everything about the school.
Almost immediately my daughter would describe to others “her Goddard” school. Another of my favorite things is my daughter’s need to stop by to give goodbye hugs. She even stops by to give Valaire and Fred her goodbye hug.
I only wish Fred and Valaire and their Goddard School® had been around when my two older children were in preschool.

Dear Fred and Valaire,
Often in December we reflect on the events of the year and pause to be thankful for and acknowledge the many blessings in our lives. We feel especially appreciative of you both and of the rich environment you've worked so hard to create for our boys, Will and Lucas.
We thank you for listening, addressing our concerns and always responding promptly to our needs. We thank you for bringing such a wealth of talented teachers to inspire our boys.
