DOLPHIN - Kindergarten Amber graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. Amber holds a current Texas Teaching Certificate and has experience in both public schools and pre-kindergarten.
GUPPY ROOM – Infants - Jodi is the lead teacher in our infant suite. Jodi has worked in the early education field since 2003 and has completed the coursework for her Child Development Associate's (CDA) degree and is awaiting her National CDA council certification.
STARFISH ROOM – First Steps - Janice W. has been in early care and education since 2007 and has a Bachelor’s degree from Stephen F. Austin University. Janice is also currently pursuing her Child Development Associates (CDA) degree.
ANGELFISH ROOM - Toddlers Dion is the Lead Teacher teacher in the Toddler classroom. Dion has served in the childcare field since 1999 in various capacities in administration and as a teacher. Dion has completed the coursework for her Child Development Associate's (CDA) degree and is awaiting her National CDA council certification.
SEAHORSE ROOM - Toddlers - Debbie C. has over ten years of experience in early childhood education with all ages from infants to school-aged children. Debbie is currently pursuing her Child Development Associate's degree.
SEA TURTLE ROOM - Older Toddlers - Carla T. currently holds an Associate's degree in Child Development and has been in the early care and education field since 2002.
CLOWNFISH ROOM - Preschool Jessica S. has her Associate's degree in Child Development and is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree. Jessica has been in early care and education since 1996.
CLOWNFISH ROOM - Preschool Megan graduated from The University of Texas with a Bachelor's degree with a focus on Speech Language Pathology. Megan has been working in the early care and education field since 2008.
MANTA RAY – Preschool - Karen D. graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences, focusing on Human Development. Karen has been in the early care and education field since 2004.
BLUE TANG ROOM - Junior Pre-Kindergarten - Nancy graduated from Augustana College in Illinois with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Nancy also holds a current Texas Teachers Certificate and has experience in both the public school and early childhood settings.
OCTOPUS ROOM - Pre-Kindergarten - Brooke A. graduated with honors from Lamar University in Beaumont with a Bachelor's degree and has her Teacher's Certification. Brooke also has experience working as a substitute teacher in the Lumberton and Leander School Districts.
DOLPHIN – School-Age - Tara B. has been in the early care and education field since 2006 and is currently pursuing an Associate's degree in Child Development.
DIRECTOR - Lisa Tate - Lisa is the Director of The Goddard School located in Cedar Park. For the past sixteen years, Lisa has worked in early care and education in many capacities, with more than ten of those years in a leadership role. Lisa received a Master's degree in Education from Concordia University at Austin and a Bachelor's degree in Family Relations and Child Development from Oklahoma State University. In addition to her center experience, Lisa is a Master Level Registered Trainer with the Texas Early Care and Education Career Development System. This certification is for trainers within early care and education settings and has served as a great resource in providing educational opportunities for teachers.
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR - Misti Scales -
Misti has been in the childcare field since 1995, in both the private and public sectors. During this time, she owned and operated her own center in Batesville, Arkansas. Misti holds a Business Administration certificate in Early Childhood from the University of Arkansas and a Communication certificate from the University of Tennessee. Misti has also completed the coursework for her Child Development Associate's (CDA) degree and is awaiting her National CDA council certification.
Owners - Maria and Butch Aggen
With an undergraduate degree in Educational Psychology and an MBA, Maria has found her passion in operating The Goddard School®. She also serves on the Board of LEEF (Leander Educational Excellence Foundation) which supports educational objectives within the local school district, including early childhood literacy. Butch has a graduate degree in education and worked for several years in the college/university setting. He also completed a MBA from Duke University. He is very active in the Cedar Park community, serving on the Board of Directors for it's Chamber of Commerce. Maria and Butch are at the school daily to oversee the business operations and
develop open communication with all of our parents. Their daily presence
allows our Director to focus on mentoring our faculty and overseeing the education and curriculum
of the school.
Administrative Assistant
Kimberly joined The Goddard School as an administrative assistant in April 2011. She has over fifteen years experience in the early childhood field as a teacher and an administrator.
