"I have to tell you, Chloe loves Kindergarten, although yesterday she said she still misses her Pre-K class, and especially Ms. Tina. I was not even surprised to hear that - I have yet to meet a better Pre-K teacher than Ms. Tina. We consider ourselves super lucky to have had the chance to be in her classroom for the past year. I was always amazed by the wonderful job she did with the kids, but I appreciated it more than ever in the past four weeks, since Chloe began Kindergarten. I felt she was fairly ready for it, mostly thanks to Ms. Tina and her daily classroom routines and all the curricular activities she engaged the children in, but I was taken by surprise to find out just how ready Chloe really was. Her transition to Kindergarten was so smooth - she fit right in, nothing a surprise, nothing a difficulty. She knew to follow the teacher's instructions, to respect the school and the classroom rules. She had no trouble paying attention during instruction, and continuing circle time into Kindergarten ("just like we had in Pre-K, - yeay!!!!", according to Chloe) made it so familiar and easy to adjust to a new classroom. In addition to this, she appears completely ready for the curriculum, having already covered most parts of it with Ms. Tina. I don't think Chloe could have been more ready for Kindergarten than she were coming from The Goddard School, and especially from Ms. Tina's Pre-K classroom. Thank you, thank you, thank you a million times for making our daycare and preschool experience so wonderful and positive! If I had to do it again, I wouldn't do it any other way!"
