Welcome to The Goddard School® located in Canton, Michigan. We opened our new School on October 8, 2007.
The Goddard School can make a positive difference in your child's life. We are a private preschool that offers a safe, healthy, nurturing environment for the education and development of children six-weeks to six-years-old. Our warm, loving atmosphere features a year-round extended day program from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Our unique program is designed to enhance the emotional, social, intellectual and physical needs of your child. Our teachers possess a four year degree in a child development field, or a Child Develop Associates (CDA) certificate; additionally, every teacher has previous experience in early childhood development, and receives ongoing in-house instruction in The Goddard School’s curriculum. Our entire faculty is personally committed to bringing you the very best in early childhood education.
Areas of growth and development are highlighted within our daily lesson plans, which our faculty brings to life each day in appropriate and attainable ways. Our children are continually learning, laughing and growing as they explore music, art, history, math, science, foreign language, sign language, computers and fitness. We encourage natural curiosity and creativity, and for children to progress at their own pace according to their individual needs and abilities, through the professional guidance of our teachers. Parents are provided with a daily report about their child’s activities, participation and progress.
Teachers and students develop positive relationships that are interactive rather than simply directive. The result is a school where children are empowered by learning. At the core of our philosophy is the knowledge that our children are our most precious resource. Our commitment, at The Goddard School, is to provide our children with nothing less than the finest possible environment for the healthy development of their self-esteem, confidence and love of learning.
Our state-of-the-art custom designed building has been planned to provide a safe, secure environment. Two separate playgrounds have been designed to challenge and delight your child at every age.
We are conveniently located in the center of Canton, on Canton Center Road between Ford Road and Warren Road.
