Tom Carthron-Owner - - Hello everyone. My name is Tom Carthron. My family owns The Goddard School® located in Canton, Georgia. My vision for the School started in 2003 when my family and I visited our dear friends who reside in Canton. I graduated with a B.B.A. from Georgia Southern University. I then went on to Georgia State University and pursued my M.B.A. After graduating with my Master's Degree, I started my career in sales. I spent the majority of my career in banking. I have three beautiful children. It is because of a love for children, that my family decided to open The Goddard School located in Canton.
I hope you are as excited about our Goddard School as we are. We pledge to the parents of Canton and surrounding communities that our School is a safe, nurturing and curriculum friendly environment in which all of our children can excel and learn.

Jennifer M. - - Jennifer has worked with The Goddard School for almost five years.  She is one of the first of many original employee's that started upon the opening of the School.  She is very excited to have her family here! She has been a center director for the last ten years and has worked in childcare for almost twenty years. Jennifer has completed Emergency Medical School, First Aid/CPR and her Child Development Associates Degree. Jennifer is your educational and operational director.  Jennifer pledges to give your child a secure, loving experience in her classroom. If you feel something needs to be adjusted, she will be your partner to accomplish the change.

Alison B. - Alison is so thrilled to be here and be a part of The Goddard School®. For the past few years she has been a stay-at-home mom and is very excited to be returning to what she loves doing most, teaching preschool-aged children. As for her educational background, Alison has a BA in psychology with a concentration in child development. Alison also entered a Masters program at the University of New Haven where she was able to become certified in elementary education. Alison is both certified in the state of Massachusetts as well as in the state of Georgia for Pre-K through 8th grade. She has several years of experience teaching preschool children and she has also managed/supervised special needs summer camp programs for preschool-aged children. Alison promises to provide a nurturing, creative and energetic environment for your child.

Lyndsey P. - - Lyndsey is part of our Opening and Closing Coordination.  She also handles the supplies, marketing and kitchen.  She has worked in childcare since 2000. Her passion has always been to work with kids. She has been trained in CPR and First Aid. Lyndsey is very excited to be here at The Goddard School.

Kimberli H. - Kim loves making a difference in the life of a child and has wanted to teach for as long as she can remember. She was a substitute teacher in Rochester, NY and earned her Bachelor's Degree in History from the State University of NY College at Brockport. She also studied Elementary Education and has her certification in Childhood Education from NY State. When she moved to Georgia, she became certified to teach Pre-K through 5, 4-8 English and 4-8 Social Studies. Her future goal is to obtain her Master's Degree in Special Education. If you feel something needs to be adjusted, she will be your partner to accomplish the change.

Lisa S. - Lisa attended Reinhardt College and studied early childhood education. She was also a part of the Student Activities Council and an Orientation Leader at Reinhardt. Lisa completed her student teaching in a Kindergarten class at Hasty Elementary. She has her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and is a certified teacher.

Emily Y. - Emily is very excited to be a part of the Goddard Family. Emily has attended Ashworth University where she received my Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education. Emily plans on going back to school for her Bachelor's in ECE in the near future. She is excited to be working here and hopes to make your child's future a great one. Emily believes children need a safe and nurturing environment to be able to grow. Her goal here at The Goddard School is to ensure that every child's needs are being met emotionally, intellectually and physically.

Mrs. Claudia - - Mrs. Claudia and was was born and raised in Canton, GA. She is a recent graduate from Kennesaw State University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. She have received her teaching certificate for the state of Georgia for Pre-k -5th grade. She is looking forward to getting to know your child and watching them thrive here at Goddard.

Miranda G. - Miranda will be attending Chattahoochee Tech in the beginning of second semester this winter, majoring in Early Childhood Education. She loves working with young adults as well as children. Miranda is the assistant Varsity and JV Volleyball coach for Kings Academy. She was also a member of the swim team and involved in the Teacher Cadet and Youth Apprenticeship program. She pledges to give your child a secure, loving experience in the classroom. Maria A. - Hola! Maria is the assistant teacher in the Infant Room. Her passion is loving and caring for babies.

LeeAnn L. - LeeAnn has been a summer nanny for several different families over the past few years. She has also been babysitting since she was 15 years old. LeeAnn is currently attending North Metro Tech to major in marketing. Although she is not going to school for teaching, children are her passion. She looks forward to working with all of the children here and learning about their unique personalities.

Shelby D. - Shelby attended Mountain View Technical College, where she majored in Technical Communications. She is happy to have the opportunity to work with children and experience their unique personalities every day. Shelby has enjoyed every minute of her time here at The Goddard School® and feels very lucky to work with such amazing kids and co-workers!

Mr. Erik - - Erik and is a 2008 graduate from Cherokee High School here in Canton. He looks forward to making a difference in your child’s life while at Goddard.

Mrs. Rachel - - Rachel and graduated from Cherokee High School here in Canton. As your child’s teacher, she will love them as if they were her own. She also promises to create a secure and loving atmosphere here at The Goddard School.

Ms. Abi - - Abi was born and raised in Aurora, Colorado and moved to Canton, Georgia with her family back in 2004. She currently attends Kennesaw State University to attain a teaching degree in Early Childhood Education. She promises to give your child a safe and loving environment where they are able to excel and learn.

Kristen H. - Kristen graduated from Kennesaw Mountain High School in 2004 and went on to earn her Early Childhood Education Degree from North Metro Tech in 2008. Kristen also minored in Program Management while in college.
