Certified Nutrition Consultant, Kay Webb will be speaking at The Goddard School® located in Brooklyn Park on Monday, November 10th from 6:00-7:00pm. Cold season is coming fast - learn how to boost your child’s immune system to fight off those nasty germs. Babysitting will be provided this evening as well.

Tara Hallberg, Educational Director -
I have my Bachelor’s of Science degree in Early Education from the University of North Dakota. When I finish my last paper I will have my Master's degree in Education. I also have my teaching license for age’s birth to eight years and my ECFE (Early Childhood Family Education) endorsement. I have been working in the early childhood field since 1994 both as a teacher and a director.

Deanna Johnson, Assistant Director -
I have been in childcare for seventeen years and love working with children. Every day is a fun experience as the children are always learning new and exciting things. I am excited to get to know you and your child as you join us at The Goddard School®.

Mrs. Abby, Infant Room - Mrs. Abby has been working in our Infant 2 room since October of 2006 when the room first opened. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Mrs. Abby enjoys working with young children and helping them as they learn through new experiences.

Miss Leah, Preschool -
Leah has worked in childcare for over ten years and received a degree in Early Education from Hennepin Technical College. She loves watching children grow and learn new things throughout the year and is very excited to learn more about you and your child.

Miss Kori, Toddler -
I attended Lake Superior Technical College for two years, completing my generals and studying Occupational Therapy. Then I transferred to St. Cloud Technical College and received my Associate's degree in Child and Adult Care and Education. I mainly focus on Toddlers, but I enjoy working with children of all ages! I feel so honored to be part of your children’s lives and look forward to watching them learn and grow.

Ms. Paula, First Step Infants -
Ms. Paula received a degree in Child Care from Rasmussen College. She enjoys working with children because they brighten her world and she learns something new from one of them each day.

Mrs. Cherie, Kitchen Manager - I have raised four grown children, three boys and one girl. I also have two grandchildren, one boy and one girl. I was a home childcare provider for over six years while my younger children were in school. I look forward to working with your children.

Mrs. Sherry, Pre-Kindergarten - I’ve been teaching children since 1969, including my own son and daughter. I have my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Concordia. What makes me excited about working with young children? I like seeing the "light bulb" go on when they master something new.

Mrs. Barb, Kindergarten -
I have worked at The Goddard School® since it opened in July of 2006. I am excited about teaching Kindergarten and look forward to creating a positive classroom environment. My training and education includes a strong background in Early Childhood Education from St. Cloud State where I completed my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education and received my license. I enjoy working with children and hope to have a positive impact on the children I teach.

Mrs. Janet, Preschool -
After thirty years as a Personal Banking Officer, Mrs. Janet decided to go back to school to pursue her passion of working with children and received a degree in Early Childhood Development. She feels there is no greater gift than a child and that they are each special and unique in their own way. “I look forward to learning from and enjoying the children at The Goddard School®,” adds Janet.

Mr. Brandon, Pre-Kindergarten - I graduated from Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with a Bachelor's degree in Religious Education and Youth Ministry. As a Teacher I will help students to succeed and encourage them to do their best. I look forward to working with your children as they discover the joy of learning.

Miss Tasha, First Steps - I have worked in childcare for over four years. Previously, I worked for my aunt in her home-based childcare. Currently, I am an Assistant Teacher at The Goddard School®. I am also continuing my education in Psychology and Teaching.

Miss Lindsey, Infants -
Miss Lindsey started working at The Goddard School® two years ago through an internship program sponsored by Champlin Park High School. She loves working with young children and is currently attending North Hennepin Community College and looks forward to using her education and experiences to create a love of learning in each of her students.

Miss Stefanie, First Steps - I graduated with my Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education. I may continue my education for another two years and earn my Birth through Third Grade and Special Needs licenses at Southwest Minnesota State University. These past few summers, I have worked with Second Graders at Oxbow Creek Elementary and Fourth Graders at Ramsey Elementary for their summer school programs. Through school, I have worked with preschoolers and this upcoming semester I will work with special needs children at Willow Lane.

Miss Angie, Preschool - Hi, I have been working with children for several years. I currently attend Normandale Community College. I enjoy playing softball, traveling to my cabin and hanging out with my family and friends. I am excited to be a part of your child's education.

Mrs. Tammy, Infants -
Mrs. Tammy currently attends Rasmussen College where she is working on an Early Childhood Education degree. She is excited to be a part of the teaching team at The Goddard School® and looks forward to sharing her new found knowledge with your children.

Miss Rochelle, Toddlers -
Miss Rochelle is majoring in Sign Language and Business at Minneapolis Technical College. She is happy to be a part of the teaching team at The Goddard School®. “I am excited to have the opportunity of teaching your children and look forward to working with your family,” adds Rochelle.

Mrs. Carol, Infants -
Mrs. Carol truly loves and enjoys teaching children. Her background includes over twenty years of experience working with children. She operated an in-home childcare business while raising her own children as well as working in the infant room of a local health club. “I love being a part of The Goddard School® and a great teaching team,” adds Carol.

Mrs. Mina, Infants - I am working with the children in the Infant II classroom. I have been working with children for six years. I have my child development AC certificate. I am originally from Bangladesh where I earned a Law degree. When I came to the United States I went to Austin Community College and earned a degree in Business Management. It makes me proud to be a part of the children's lives. I enjoy seeing them explore and grow in a fun learning environment.

Mrs. Angelic, Infants - I’m a highly talented child care worker with professional training in Health and Safety, First Aid, CPR, the Whole Child Development, SIDS and Shaken Baby Syndrome. I currently have decided to also pursue my Child Development Associate Credential through the Child Care Education Institute. I am patient, flexible, a warm loving person, and I enjoy interacting with children of all ages. I am excited to have the opportunity of encouraging the development of children at many stages in their life, which also gives me the opportunity to grow with the parent and child.

Miss Karissa, Pre-Kindergarten - I have a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications and I'm currently working on a degree in Early Childhood Education at Rasmussen College. I am very happy to be part of the journey of discovery with the students at The Goddard School®. I love all sorts of arts and I believe that all children are creative when they are opened to the proper mediums.

Mrs. Catherine, Infant I - I have been working at Goddard since January 2007. I have a Master's degree in Child Development. I love working in the Infant room.

Tina Joens, On-site Owner - My name is Tina Joens, and I'm the on-site owner of the school. I have worked in the Early Childhood field for over twenty years. In 1987 I began my teaching career in the military with my husband, where we were stationed in England. I have worked all over the country in Military Child Development Centers and corporate day cares, as well as running my own home care program. I earned my Child Development Associate degree in 1991 at Boise State University, and continue to keep my teaching license current. In 1996 our family moved from New Mexico to be back in Minnesota. I look forward to working with all the children, parents and faculty to provide the best education for our children.

Jon Joens, Owner - My name is Jon Joens, and I am one of the proud owners of The Goddard School® located in Brooklyn Park along with my Sister-In-Law Tina Joens. My wife and I have called Brooklyn Park home for the past seventeen years. My two Siberian Huskies, Max and Zoey, are my kids. I am a volunteer fire fighter with the city of Brooklyn Park. I enjoy playing golf in the summer and snow boarding in the winter. I look forward to meeting all the great families in the neighborhood and watching the children learn and grow.

Miss Jennifer, Pre-Kindergarten - Miss Jennifer recently graduated from Metropolitan State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts. Throughout her studies she took many courses in Early Childhood Education. Her passion in life is to make a difference in children's lives. “It is very rewarding to teach children the skills that they need to grow and learn in the world we live in,” adds Miss Jennifer.

Mrs. Laura, Kindergarten - Mrs. Laura has a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Concordia, St. Paul. She has worked in the Early Childhood field for over ten years and loves helping children learn and grow. “I am very excited to be working with all of the children at The Goddard School®,” adds Mrs. Laura.
