Choosing Childcare
Welcome to The Goddard School® located on DeKalb Pike (Route 202) in Blue Bell, next to Montgomery County Community College and between Morris Road and Rte. 73!
We are Pat Bergbauer and John Ladman, the on-site owners, and we are proud of our beautiful facility and our talented and creative teachers. Our warm, loving atmosphere features a year-round extended day program from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Let's take a peek inside and see how the day unfolds at The Goddard School®.
In our Infant classroom, babies six weeks to twelve months are cared for by loving and nurturing teachers. Lauren and Carl are snuggled in their cribs napping. Joseph, Ella and Mary are listening to a story while David and Ava are busily crawling around the play area inspecting some of the new toys. The Infant room is self-contained, which gives our littlest ones a safe and secure environment in which to learn and grow - and our teachers can easily individualize each infants' schedule according to parents' wishes.
Several of our Preschoolers are singing, "Old MacDonald Had A Farm." This is a great way to introduce our "Farm Friendly" week. At the art table, Miss Angie is supervising her children as they try to cut out a whale using scissors for our "Friends by the Sea" week. In the Get Set classroom, the students are role playing with various bugs during our "Creepy Crawlies" week. During Circle Time, the Toddlers are singing "We're All Going to the Zoo Today" for our "Zany Zoo Animals" week.
Our playground echoes with laughter as the Pre-Kindergarten children enjoy practicing some gross motor skills outside. They have just finished a busy morning that included reading readiness, an art activity and an introduction to Goddard's new math curriculum - programs designed to prepare them for Kindergarten next year. Soon all of the children, babies too, will gather for our weekly music program with Mr. Dave.
