Faculty Bios

Avon, IN

Mr. Robert ~ Owner  Mr. Robert earned his Bachelor’s in Marine Science from Hawaii Pacific University. Robert worked towards his Master’s in Environmental Science while teaching high school science; after which he joined Harlan Bakeries. Robert enjoys spending time with his family and outside activities.

Ms. Sarah ~ Owner  Ms. Sarah earned her Master’s in Social Work from Indiana University. Sarah has worked for ten years in strength-based educational programs for troubled youth. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and outside activities.

Ms. Susan ~ Director of Education Ms. Susan comes to The Goddard School with a wealth of experience.  She has her BS in Elementary Education and her Master's in Elementary Education and Early Childhood from Ball State, in addition to a Blind and Low Vision Teaching Certificate.   Ms. Susan has been in the education field for over 30 years and has worked with all ages, from infants through high school.  She has a passion for teaching and loves watching the look on children's faces when they discover something new.  

Ms. Jen ~ Assistant Director  Ms. Jen earned her Bachelor's in Youth Ministry and Adolescent Studies with a minor in Psychology from Judson College. She has been a part of The Goddard School® located in Avon for over a year and a half and her favorite part is getting to know all the children and families and watching the children learn, discover and grow! 

Ms. Linda ~ Infants  Ms. Linda has her Child Development Associate and is working towards her Associate's degree from Ivy Tech.  She has over 30 years of experience working with young children and has been a part of The Goddard School located in Avon for 2 years.  Her passion for teaching is being able to help children learn things they need to know to develop in an appropriate way for them and she feels the most important thing for a child to know is that they are loved and accepted for who they are.

Ms. Lynn ~ Infants Ms. Lynn received her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood Endorsement and her Master's degree in Education from Indiana University . She has over 15 years of experience in early childhood education and has been a part of The Goddard School located in Avon for over a year and a half.  Her favorite part of teaching is being a part of the enthusiasm a child has when they learn new things and seeing the expression in their face when they master new skills.

Ms. Natalie ~ First Steps Ms. Natalie has studied Marketing at Anderson University and will soon be pursuing her CDA.  She is excited to be working with our young toddlers and sharing with them in their milestones!

Ms. Bonnie ~ Younger Toddlers Ms. Bonnie is excited to work with our young toddlers and to help them learn through play and grow as they gain their independence and master self help skills.

Ms. Britiny ~ First Steps Ms. Britiny is currently working towards her Child Development Associate. She has worked in childcare for over 5 years and has been a part of The Goddard School located in Avon for almost a year. Her favorite part of teaching is working alongside parents helping their children learn, grow and develop into their full potential.

Ms. Megan ~ Younger Toddlers Ms. Megan is pursuing Early Childhood Education at Ivy Tech.  She is excited to be a part of The Goddard School located in Avon and is looking forward to getting to know our families and watching the children learn new things!

Ms. Nichole ~ Older Toddlers Ms. Nichole is pursuing her CDA through Ivy Tech Community College.  She has worked with young children in childcare centers for over 10 years.  Ms. Nichole is excited to be here at The Goddard School located in Avon and loves to see the children learn through play and gain their independence with all their new self-help skills.

Ms. Jessica ~ Older Toddlers Ms. Jessica is eager to begin earning her Child Development Associate.  She has been working with young children for over two and a half years.  Ms. Jessica loves seeing the excitement on a child's face as they learn something new or discover for the first time that they can do something on their own.  She also loves to sing and dance with the children in her room!
 

Ms. Diamond ~ Get Set (2 1/2-year-olds) Ms. Diamond is working towards her BA in Business.  She has previously worked with young children as a director for an educational program and as an assistant director for an after-school program. She loves watching the children learn new concepts through playful activities.

Ms. Kat ~ Get Set (2 1/2-year-olds) Ms. Kat has over two years of experience working with young children.  She has studied Elementary Education and is now studying Psychology and Counseling. 

Ms. Rachel ~ Preschool 1 Ms. Rachel has her Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education from Sullivan University and has a Professional Nanny Diploma.  She has over 4 years' experience working with young children.  Ms. Rachel loves teaching children how to grow in all areas of development.

Ms. Valerie ~ Preschool 1 Ms. Valerie earned her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Grace College.  She has over six years' experience working with children in camps, day cares and school systems.  Ms. Valerie loves students and enjoys watching them have "a-ha" moments when they learn something new! She also enjoys seeing the uniqueness in each child.

Ms. Raven ~ Preschool 2 Ms. Raven is currently enrolled in classes at IUPUI, finishing up her degree in Elementary Education. She has worked with children for over three years and has been a part of The Goddard School located in Avon for over a year.  Ms. Raven eventually wants to obtain her Master's degree in Education.

Ms. Chloe ~ Preschool 2 Ms. Chloe is currently enrolled in a CDA program at Ivy Tech Community College.  She has been working with young children for over three years.  Ms. Chloe loves helping others to learn and grow as well as helping the children learn new things that they can use at home and school.

Ms. Dana ~ Pre-K Ms. Dana has her Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Sciences from Brigham Young University and her Associate's degree in American Sign Language from Vincennes University.  She has over 21 years of teaching experience, mainly in Pre-K, and has been a part of The Goddard School located in Avon for over a year and a half.  Her favorite part of teaching are the "ah ha" moments in children's lives and helping them experience those moments.

Ms. Tonya ~ Pre-K Ms. Tonya has her degree in Secondary English Education. After spending several years living in Alaska, she is back in Indiana and is excited to be working with our Pre-K students.

Mr. Jonathan ~ Kindergarten Mr. Jonathan earned his Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Grace College and his Master's degree in Education from Indiana University. He has over 5 1/2 years of experience working with young children and has been with The Goddard School located in Avon for 2 1/2 years.  Mr. Jonathan loves when children learn and feels it is so rewarding to see children grow and learn new things.

Ms. Carol ~ Nutrition Coordinator Ms. Carol has her Bachelor's degree in Home Economics from the University of Cincinnati and her Safe Serve Certification from Ohio State University. She has been with The Goddard School located in Avon for over 2 years.  Ms. Carol enjoys cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren!
