Welcome! - The Goddard School® located in Aurora is extremely proud of its highly qualified, professional teachers. All of our teachers are full-time faculty members at our school. Each of our Lead Teachers has a four-year college degree and prior experience in a preschool setting. We would love for you to meet them!
Sloan and Jarrett Armstrong - Sloan and Jarrett Armstrong are the Owners and On-Site Operators of The Goddard School located at 21805 East Quincy Avenue in Aurora. The Armstrongs are both natives of Colorado and enjoy spending time with family and friends. Ms. Sloan earned a Bachelor's degree in Music from the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music while Mr. Jarrett earned a Bachelor's degree in Business from the University of Colorado in Boulder. The Armstrongs take great pride in the operation of the school and are pleased to be able to provide Goddard’s outstanding program to the children in the community.
Ms. Brenda - Ms. Brenda is the Executive Director of Education. Ms. Brenda received a Bachelor's degree in Family Studies and Human Development from the University of Arizona. She is also Director Certified in the State of Colorado. Ms. Brenda has been a Director for over ten years and uses all of that experience to implement our amazing educational curriculum. She is highly respected within the local early childhood and elementary education communities. As the Director for The Goddard School, she expects excellence from her faculty and has an unwavering work ethic and warmth that our families love. Ms. Brenda is so excited to see the Goddard community grow with such great families and children!
Ms. Kate - Ms. Kate is the Director of Education. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and early childhood education from the University of WI-LaCrosse. Ms. Kate also recently received a master's degree in professional development. Her experience with children includes working as a Counselor and Camp Director, After-School Program Director and teaching in both private and public schools for the past five years, including at The Goddard School. Her passion in working with children is instilling a love of learning and making a positive influence towards reaching their goals. She is thrilled to be part of The Goddard School family.
Ms. Mary - Ms. Mary is the Infant Nursery Supervisor in the Caring Koalas Infant Nursery classroom. Ms. Mary received a degree in Elementary Education from Wheaton College and has worked with children of all ages. She also serves as a liaison between the local community and the Cherry Creek School District. Ms. Mary loves being a resource to families at The Goddard School and she especially enjoys caring for the infants in her classroom and encouraging them to interact with their surroundings.
Ms. Kari - Ms. Kari is a Co-Lead Teacher in the Eager Elephants First Steps classrooms. She is currently enrolled at Pikes Peak Community College working towards a degree in early childhood education. Ms. Kari is very excited to be part of The Goddard School family and to engage each child she interacts with in a positive way.
Ms. Sarah C. - Ms. Sarah C. is the Co-Lead Teacher in the Magical Monkeys Toddler 1 classroom. She joins us with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Luther College, Iowa and has her teaching certificate. She also has endorsements in English as a Second Language and Spanish Academic. Ms. Sarah's teaching experience includes elementary school teaching and working as a camp counselor, ECE educator and Sunday School Teacher.
Ms. Allison - Ms. Allison is the Co-Lead Teacher in the Magical Monkeys Toddler 1 classroom. Ms. Allison received a degree in Early Childhood Education from Arapahoe Community College and she is also Group Leader qualified. Prior to becoming the Co-Lead Teacher in the Toddler 1 classroom, Ms. Allison had taught toddlers for three years where she excelled in creating her own curriculum and lesson plans. Her passion is working with children and helping them to grow socially and emotionally.
Ms. Sumi - Ms. Sumi is a Co-Lead Teacher in the Fabulous Flying Frogs Toddler 2 classroom. She graduated with a degree in English and History from Bangalore University, India. She is also certified in early childhood education by the Canadian Education Board. Ms. Sumi has been working with children of all ages for the past eleven years. Ms. Sumi’s warm and caring personality and extensive early childhood education experience makes her a tremendous addition to our school.
Ms. Katya - Ms. Katya is a Co-Teacher in our Fabulous Flying Frogs Toddler classroom. Ms. Katya graduated from Moscow Pedagogical State University with a Master of Arts degree in school psychology. She believes that the biggest role a teacher can bring to a child is a safe, nurturing and warm environment that stimulates the development of social skills.
Ms. Debbie - Ms. Debbie is the Co-Lead Teacher in the Pandas Get Set classroom. She comes to our School with over thirty years of experience teaching preschool and is finishing her degree in psychology. Ms. Debbie brings the children and their parents together to foster a supportive and enriching community inside and outside the classroom. Ms. Debbie provides an amazing learning environment using a variety of innovative pedagogies and modes that allow each child to grow and learn based on individual skill sets and abilities.
Ms. Valerie - Ms. Valerie is the Co-Lead Teacher in the Pandas classroom. Ms. Valerie has a bachelor's degree in communications from Michigan State University. She is currently working towards a master's degree in elementary education. Ms. Valerie has volunteered with young children for two years and taught English to children while living in Peru. Every day, she looks forward to working with children at The Goddard School and helping them to make new discoveries.
Ms. Christiane - Ms. Christiane is the Co-Lead Teacher in the Generous Giraffes classroom. Currently she attends Metropolitan State College of Denver to finish her bachelor's degree in psychology. Ms Christiane has more than four years of experience teaching preschool, creating and maintaining a safe, enriching and developmentally appropriate environment. She believes that a good teacher creates and maintains a safe learning environment through companionship, redirection and positive reinforcement.
Ms. Trisha - Ms. Trisha is the Co-Lead Teacher in the Generous Giraffes Preschool classroom. Ms. Trisha graduated with a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Metro State College. Ms. Trisha also has a current Initial Teacher License from the state of Colorado. Ms. Trisha is very enthusiastic about providing a safe and positive learning environment in which children can learn and become successful.
Ms. Katie - Ms. Katie is the Lead Teacher in the Jumping Jungle Cats Preschool 2 classroom. Ms. Katie graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in interdisciplinary studies with concentrations in elementary education and an elementary licensure from the state of Colorado. Ms. Katie believes that teaching is a profession of passion and she adores every child that she has ever had in her class.
Ms. Patty - Ms. Patricia is the Co-Lead Teacher in the Jumping Jungle Cats Preschool 2 classroom. Ms. Patricia possesses over ten years of early childhood teaching experience. She has a vibrant personality and excels at planning, coordinating and implementing lesson plans. Her passion is ensuring that all of her preschool children become confident learners capable of taking the next step in their education.
Ms. Stacy - Ms. Stacy is the Lead Teacher in the Happy Hippos Pre-Kindergarten classroom. Ms. Stacy received her Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University. She is also certified in teaching Early Childhood Education. Ms. Stacy is excited to be a part of The Goddard School team and is eager to to assist the children in her classroom explore their world!
Ms. Monica - Ms. Monica is an Assistant Teacher in the Happy Hippos Pre-Kindergarten classroom. Ms. Monica has over twelve years experience teaching young children. She is currently pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education. She believes in authenticity, love and caring with young children. She enjoys teaching young children in a group setting as well as challenging individual students.
Ms. Briana - Ms. Briana is a Co-Lead Teacher in the Rocking Rhinos Pre-Kindergarten classroom. She is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix. Briana always displays a positive attitude and we are so happy to welcome her into the Goddard family. Ms. Briana loves working with individual children to meet their needs and their preferred learning styles.
Ms. Amy - Ms. Amy is the Co-Lead Teacher in the Rocking Rhinos Pre-Kindergarten classroom. She has been teaching preschool children for the past seven years during which time she has gained in-depth experience. She supplemented this extensive experience with Early Childhood Education classes from Aurora Community College. She believes that each student is unique and deserves to be taught with that in mind.
Ms. Amanda - Ms. Amanda is the Co-Lead Teacher in the Lovable Llamas Private Kindergarten Teacher. She joins us from Aspen Crossing Elementary School where she taught Kindergarten. Ms. Amanda has significant teaching experience including Kindergarten, Before/After School Care, and 1st, 2nd and 4th grades within the Cherry Creek School District. She also holds professional affiliations with the Cherry Creek Education Association, Colorado Education Association and National Education Association. She earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado and Elementary Education Licensure from Metropolitan State College of Denver.
Ms. Sarah - Ms. Sarah is a Co-Lead Teacher in the Lovable Llamas Private Kindergarten classroom. Ms. Sarah received a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Colorado. She has over eight years' experience working with children of all ages. Ms. Sarah also serves as the school's Rhythm, Dance and Tumbling Instructor. Ms. Sarah is a great communicator and demonstrates her passion for working with children each and every day.
Ms. Kar y- Ms. Kary is a Resource Teacher and assists in all of the classrooms. Ms. Kary holds both a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in nutrition and has continued to further her education to become director certified in early childhood education. Ms. Kary is a dedicated and energetic teacher experienced with diverse populations of students. She is committed to creating big possibilities, character, emotional intelligence and success for all children.
Ms. Cely Mae - Ms. Cely Mae comes to us from the Philippines. She graduated from Bukidnon State University in Malaybalay Bukidnon, Philippines, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education. She has worked as a librarian, social worker and a teacher for students of all ages. Ms. Cely Mae has joined us as a Resource Teacher and brings lots of enthusiasm and knowledge to our school.
Ms. Elise - Ms. Elise is a Resource Teacher and assists in all classrooms. Currently, Ms. Elise attends Colorado Community College of Aurora to obtain her degree in Early Childhood Education. She is enthusiastic about pursuing her long term goal of becoming a lead teacher and graduating with her degree. Ms. Elise feels that each and every child is an individual with different needs and learning styles. She is excited to display her friendly disposition to all of our Goddard families.
Ms. Erlinda - Ms. Erlinda is a Resource Teacher and assists the teachers in every classroom. She attended the International Harvardian University in the Philippines where she completed a degree in elementary education and received a Master of Arts in education. Ms. Erlinda has more than twenty years of experience teaching young children before she was promoted to school principal and then school district supervisor in Davao City, Philippines. She also has a hard-working, positive attitude that will enable her to teach the students to their full potential.
Ms. Rachel - Ms. Rachel is a Resource Teacher and assists in all of our classrooms. She received her group leader qualifications through Front Range Community College. Ms. Rachel is excited to teach at The Goddard School and to have the opportunity to work with children with a wide range of personalities, abilities and needs.
Ms. Jennifer - Ms. Jennifer is the Piano and Music Teacher. She graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder and has been playing the piano since she was three-years-old. She loves instilling a love for music and the piano in young children.
