Choosing Childcare
Welcome to The Goddard School® located in Ashland, Virginia! Our school is located in Hanover County at the corner of Sliding Hill Road and Atlee Commerce Boulevard (less than one mile off of I-95).
Our warm and loving atmosphere features a year-round extended day from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Our enriched learning environment is designed to foster the emotional, social, intellectual and physical development of your child from six weeks to six years of age. After-school enrichment programs and an exciting summer "camp" program are also offered for children in Kindergarten through fifth grade!
The Goddard School® will make a positive difference in your child's life. Making learning fun is at the core of our learning program. Our extensive resources include the creation of a warm, nurturing environment where children can make many supportable choices, independently explore learning materials and develop socialization skills as they interact with others. Toys and equipment are carefully chosen, first for safety and then for how they stimulate young imaginations and help children develop. Enrichment programs augment the Goddard School's core curriculum to expose children to the skills necessary to support their active lives, develop positive self-esteem and set the foundation for a healthy lifestyle. Our faculty facilitate learning through responsive interactions with children as they learn to have fun! They skillfully weave in academic and learning objectives as they build upon what the individual children can do and encourage them to try new things.
Our state-of-the-art, custom-designed building has been planned to provide a safe, healthy and stimulating environment. Three separate age-appropriate playgrounds have been designed to challenge and delight your child at every age.
We are an official sponsor of the WWBT12 WeatherBug. Our weather station, located on the top of our roof collects all the weather statistics that we share with the community on a daily basis. This new technology has allowed us to bring the science of weather into our classrooms.
