Faculty Bios

Arnold, MO

Marla Brunk - My name is Marla Brunk and I am the proud owner of The Goddard School® located in Arnold, Missouri. My background is in business. I have a dual BSBA in Marketing / Logistics from University of Missouri – Columbia and an MBA from SIUE. I was first a parent of three children enrolled in a Goddard School® and fell in love with Goddard’s philosophy, standards, curriculum, and warm family environment. Now I have the opportunity to share this same experience with your family. I am always available to parents and children for questions, hugs, or whatever you need.

Meaghan Deutschmann - Hi! I am Meaghan Deutschmann, the School Director at The Goddard School® located in Arnold. I joined the Goddard team in May of 2007 and am ecstatic to be a part of such an enriching program. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, Psychology and Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Missouri. I have worked in early childhood for several years and have recently helped our school achieve Missouri Accreditation, as well as National Accreditation – NAEYC: Association for the Education of Young Children. I am looking forward to a great year and getting to know all of our new families!

Andria Barbieri - Andria is a Director at The Goddard School located in Arnold. She has a Bachelor's degree in Art Education from Lindenwood University. Andria has been a director in the field of early childhood for eight years and has three children of her own. Andria is extremely excited to be working at Goddard and she can't wait to get to know all of you!

Mrs. Lori (Pandas) -

Lori has been with Goddard since January of 2007. She is the Lead Teacher in the Playful Panda classroom and has over nine years of experience in the field of education. Lori earned an Elementary Education degree from UMSL. She loves taking care of the infants and feels that it is very important to have a warm and nurturing environment for the babies. Please stop by if you have any questions for Lori.

Mrs. Brittni (Pandas)

Ms. Brittni is the Assistant Teacher in the Playful Panda classroom and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education. Her philosophy about teaching is to let children be themselves while incorporating the tools they need to be successful. 

Mrs. Amy C. (Joeys) -

Amy has been with The Goddard School since September of 2007. She is now the Lead Teacher in the Jumping Joeys classroom after being the Assistant Teacher for three years. Amy has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, but her passion is in Early Childhood. She also has a little girl that is a graduate of The Goddard School. Lori loves working with the one year olds and watching them transition from from being an infant to a toddler. Please don't hesitate to stop by and ask Amy any questions you may have. 

Mrs. Julie F. (Joeys)

Julie is the Assistant Teacher in the Jumping Joey classroom.  She is completing her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education and is very excited to be implementing what she has learned into our classroom lessons. 

Ms. Mallory (Hippos) Mallory is the Lead Teacher in the Happy Hippo classroom! She earned a Bachelor's degree in Education from Lindenwood University and plans to get her Master's degree in Early Childhood in the near future. Mallory looks forward to making  a difference in each of her students lives!

Ms. Nikki (Monkeys) - Hello, my name is Ms. Nikki and I am the Lead Teacher in the Musical Monkey room. I am currently attending Fontbonne University to receive my degree in Education. I have worked in various centers around the area. Working with two year olds is my favorite age group. I look forward to meeting everyone at Goddard and getting to know your children.

Mrs. Kristina (Monkeys) - Ms. Kristina is the Assistant Teacher in the Musical Monkey classroom. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education at UMSL. “I love working with children of all ages and can't wait to meet all of our students and their families,” adds Kristina.

Ms. Taylor (Cheetahs) - Hi, my name is Taylor and I am the Lead Teacher in the Cheering Cheetah classroom. I have a Bachelor's degree in English and a Master's degree in Education. I have worked in early childhood education for several years and look forward to getting to know all the families at Goddard.

Mrs. Julia (Cheetahs)

Ms. Julia is the Assistant Teacher in our Cheering Cheetah classroom. She has a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Webster University. Ms. Julia has worked for head start in Central/Western Kansas and has also supervised for the Healthy Families program in western Kansas. She loves working with children of all ages and really enjoys being a part of the Goddard family!

Mrs. Tracy  (Lions)

Ms. Tracy is the Assistant Teacher in the Leaping Lion classroom. She has a degree in Education and has worked as a parent educator for the FoxC-6 district for eleven years. Ms. Tracy has three children and her youngest attends Goddard in the afternoon. "I look forward to giving each of your children the best possible preschool experience," adds Tracy.

Ms. Laura (Zebras) - My name is Mrs. Laura, and I am the Assistant Teacher in the Zany Zebras. I have taught at two preschools in the past ten years, and have also provided childcare and a preschool curriculum in my own home. I am a resident of Arnold and am a big supporter of the Fox School District where my son is enrolled. I’m looking forward to working as a team with the staff, children, and parents to make this time a valuable learning experience for your child!

Ms. Lynn (Giraffes) - Ms. Lynn is the Lead Teacher in the Galloping Giraffe classroom. She has a degree in Education from Central Missouri. She loves teaching science and math and looks forward to meeting all of the families at Goddard. Feel free to stop by her classroom to talk with her!

Ms. Erin (Giraffes) -

Miss Erin is the Assistant Teacher in the Galloping Giraffe classroom. She has worked for The Goddard School since November of 2006. Miss Erin has always loved children and has volunteered with the Junior Achievement program as well. She has taken many childcare courses and is CPR and First Aid certified. Miss Erin loves being in the Pre-K classroom and preparing the children for Kindergarten and beyond.   

Ms. Crystal - I am working in various classrooms at Goddard. I graduated from the University of Missouri - St. Louis and earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. My main focus was Child Psychology. I have previous daycare and preschool experience. In my spare time at home, I love watching movies, listening to music and playing with my puppy, Roxy! I enjoy working with all of the children at Goddard.

Mrs. Susan - Mrs. Susan is an Assistant Teacher that travels to various classrooms throughout the building and is also our QA Coordinator. She has been with Goddard since November of 2006. She has worked in the field of early childhood for more than fifteen years and truly enjoys inspiring each and everyone of your children. Mrs. Susan finds working with children to be a pleasure and would like to thank our parents for allowing her the opportunity to teach their children. She loves getting to know all our families and invites you to feel free to ask her any questions you may have.

Mrs. Alli

Alli has been with The Goddard School since March of 2010. She is finishing her Elementary Education degree from UMSL. Alli has a little girl of her own and loves working for The Goddard School. She believes children learn from every experience they encounter and that the early childhood years are of great importance and set a good “framework” to build on.
