Frank and Lisa Cariello -
We are the owners of The Goddard School® located in Apex. We relocated to the Triangle and love the area as a place to raise our boys. We are both originally from Chicago and spent ten years in Philadelphia.
Lisa has a degree in Chemical Engineering. She was a Project Engineer for 16 years. During this time, we joined the Goddard family, first as parents and then as owners. Frank was Chief Meteorologist for 17 years at NBC and FOX network television stations and host of a nationwide radio program. During those years, he has visited over 1,100 classrooms teaching children about the weather and importance of science and math. We have three young boys. When we’re not being typical soccer parents, we enjoy swimming, traveling and reading with them.

Trina Speed -
I'm the Director of The Goddard School® located in Apex. As a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, life in "Wolfpack Country" has been eventful. I began my career in education in Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools working with the elementary school program for over three years. I then transferred into early childhood education working with Infant, Toddler and Preschool classes. I've held positions of Training Coordinator and Team Leader while teaching full time. I then joined The Goddard School® located in Apex as the Assistant Director and am currently the Director.
When I have extra time, I enjoy shopping, reading and playing the piano. My love of teaching young children was something that struck like lightning one day and my life was changed. I love children and the joy that comes with being with them. Any "bad" day is made better because of the hugs, smiles and affection of the children in my care. I definitely feel blessed to work at The Goddard School® located in Apex.
Laura Johnson -
I'm the Assistant Director. I grew up in a suburb of Chicago and moved to the area with my husband. I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Mathematics from a small private school, Wheaton College in Illinois. I have taught both middle school and pre-kindergarten. However, I really enjoy working with younger children. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and my dog, Cooper. I also enjoy wakeboarding and wakeskating on our boat.

At The Goddard School® located in Apex, we pride ourselves on our teachers.
Our teaching staff meets or exceeds the education and experience requirements for a North Carolina Five Star Rated preschool. Each of our teachers has an individual biography that can be viewed on our teacher’s board.
We require 100% of our teachers to have First Aid and CPR certification. All Infant room teachers have also completed SIDS Training.
All of our teachers are encourage to continue their education and training through local courses and through Goddard University. Goddard University offers continuing education from our home office at our school and off-site. We also work closely with local resources to insure our staff is up-to-date in the latest in childcare education.
