    The children in our Pre-Kindergarten class will discuss "What is a neighborhood?" and "Who is a part of it?" Can we find parks, houses, schools, pools as well as teachers, police officers and the fire department?

    The Dramatic Play area will contain outfits and props to represent the people in our neighborhood. Look for policemen in the First Steps room and doctors as well as firefighters in the Toddler class.

    A nurse will visit today. We will talk about how nurses help us stay healthy. The children in our Infant class will also feel the sticky and smooth sides of band-aids as they create a piece of artwork.

    We can not wait for the fire truck to visit us tomorrow! Today, the children in our Young Toddler class will pretend to ride their own fire truck. We'll put the chairs in line and ring the bell.

    The Fire Truck visits us today. We love to talk to the fire fighters and climb on the truck. The children in our Preschool class will also make a special treat. We will measure and mix and make edible fire trucks from graham crackers, icing, pretzel sticks and Oreos.

    The dentist is a community helper who keeps our smiles healthy. The children in our Preschool class will practice keeping their teeth clean by using dental floss to clean playdough out of legos.
