At The Goddard School® located in Alpharetta, in Historic Crabapple, we have much to offer children, their parents, and our staff.
Our Enrichment Programs are included as a part of our curriculum. These programs are taught by our Goddard School teachers who have received specialized training in order to include them as part of our daily program.
Our Enrichment Programs include:
- Brain Gym: Simple activities for whole brain learning. Movements in the classroom using Brain Gym as a tool to integrate the brain before learning, work, or sports activities, as well as during breaks. The benefits include improvement in learning, vision, memory, expression, and movement abilities. The Brain Gym Midline Movements helps to fill in gaps in early motor development and/or help us to reconnect with our natural ability to move and learn. Early sensorimotor experiences contribute to the structure of a child’s cognitive skills. Connections between neurons develop as the child seeks to understand the work through sensory exploration and through movement.
- Yoga: Wai Lana’s Little Yogis – offering fun and healthy yoga
- Kids Organics: Children’s snacks and lunches are prepared on–site by our own Chef featuring organic food products through our CSA – children participate in the preparation of their snacks to feel proud about their food options - each day also features a SPECIAL SURPRISE!!!
- Computer Lab
- Music & Movement: Music Preludes: Studies have shown that music stimulates children's brains while helping them to express their feelings, investigate rhythm, and explore other cultures.
- Canine Assistants: Our canine friends join us weekly for reading sessions to relax children’s reading anxiety and help their reading skills expand.
- Physical Fitness: B.A.S.E. (Balance, Agility, Strength, and Endurance): The objective of the Goddard B.A.S.E. Fitness Program is to expose children to the skills necessary to support their active lives, to develop positive self-esteem, and to set the foundation for a healthy life-style.
- Sign Language: Time to Sign® Program: Over the past ten years studies have consistently demonstrated that sign facilitates children's ability to communicate with words.
- Spanish: Trampoline™ Learning Programs for Young Minds: The Explorer Program by Trampoline™ introduces children to the Spanish language and culture. With hundreds of games, songs, and activities, the Explorer Program provides hours of learning and fun.
- World Cultures: Multi-cultural diversity becomes reality as children embark on "voyages" where children explore the continents of the world.
We also offer programs in addition to our curriculum:
- CPAA: An adaptive assessment of major grade-appropriate language arts and mathematics concepts in Pre-Kindergarten through third grade. It is administered on the computer, which is a child friendly, animated format that keeps students motivated and engaged.

Using the Goddard FLEX learning curriculum as a foundation, the SIP is designed to support the sensory development of all children. It enables the school to observe behaviors and focus on the success of the child, all while gaining a better understanding of how to teach to the child. The SIP offers a team of experts, on-site therapists, socialization skills, organic lunch program, and sensory processing activities.
