CPAA is an early childhood assessment system that assists teachers in making informed and individualized instructional decisions. CPAA grew out of decades of research at Columbia University and has been used by schools, districts and state agencies nationwide. Stress-free and developmentally appropriate for young learners, this program assesses each student's level of comfort with major early literacy and mathematics concepts.
Using CPAA, we tracked the progress of Goddard School students and conducted a complete analysis of the results for the 2010-2011 school year, which included 160 Goddard Schools, 4,200+ children and over 15,500 assessments, compared with 45,000+ Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten public school students and over 135,000 assessments.
