Philosophy: Professional Development

Goddard School teachers follow the highest standards in early childhood development.

Your child is the recipient of a unique advantage our teachers possess: professional development through GSU.

GSU (Goddard Systems University) supports the ongoing training of our teachers by providing regional classes each quarter as well as on-site training by Corporate Representatives. GSU training has been approved as an Authorized Provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET).

  • Developed specifically for Goddard School teachers. GSU's exclusive training series coaches Goddard School teachers in the areas of health and safety, curriculum, developmental guidelines and enrichment programs; all focused on providing excellent care to infants through school-age children.
  • You can trust Goddard School teachers' credentials. GSU training hours may be applied to a Child Development Associate (CDA) certification. CDA is a nationally recognized credential awarded by the Council for Professional Recognition.
  • Teachers contribute to ongoing quality standards. GSU encourages teachers to share ideas, express viewpoints and develop relationships with peers throughout the Goddard School organization.
  • Teachers blend education with nurturing care. GSU trains teachers to develop creative learning environments for each of our early childhood development programs.
  • Faculty is current with learning trends. GSU regularly informs teachers about early childhood development trends and current research.
